JTS Airacuda and Airacuda Max Introductions

As seen at Shot Show this year (2022), there were some new offerings in the PCP world and one of the most exciting to hit the streets is from the boys at JTS. Best known for producing high-quality shotguns since the early 90's. They are not new to the airgun game but this year they went all in and boy does it show.

This new airgun line is led by the Airacuda and the Airacuda Max which are incredibly feature-rich for a price that will make you say "Huh? How much?". In this post, I will try and offer some detailed introduction photos of each of the air rifles. I will offer more detailed shot results and breakdown details in other posts.

The materials used are high quality and the finishes are unreal. The machining and fit of the parts is something you only see on well-made firearms or top-of-line PCP's. Again this only an introduction and there will be more detailed offerings from Hajimoto Productions on accuracy, shot count, detailed breakdowns and much much more.

So let's get it started!

I hope you enjoyed this introduction to some seriously amazing PCP's at an unbelievable price.

WOW the Max looks fantastic! For 425 dollars it even comes with wood stock with adjustable cheek rear, can’t wait to see. Just wish they made a short/carbine version. Are they regulated? I can see a adjustable transfer port dial, future of airgun is looking amazing with all these new offerings challenging the old guards. We the consumers is the ultimate winners when the competition heats up!

I have to agree with Haji 1000% and some,

I have the .25 standard ( un-regulated ) and the .25 MAX ( regulated ) in for field testing ad you'll get a huge BANG for the buck with this 2 offerings.

Great ergonomics, metal work is phenomenal ( not one piece of plastic in the entire gun ) the Standard is very, very light, good sound pretty quiet, great magazines, a trigger that should please the trigger snobs :) nice positive sidelever,......the only thing I don't like is the safety inside the trigger guard

but that is a personal thing

Been following the discussion a bit over on GTA.

I was quite surprised to see that the barrel threads into the receiver. Super rare for an airgun. I know of only the EVOL and Veteran that have threaded to breech block barrel setups, and we know those are quality and priced just a smidge higher than these JTS guns.

Interesting.

Don't think so, just different finishes.

Get out that trusty magnet Manny. If they do use two different tube materials, just kinda curious why. Is the regulated Max using a tube and reg that has already been proven to work well on other guns originating from that factory?

Reg is a stainless steel body. Looks good can't speak on the performance just yet but will dig in to mine this week. I have the max in 22 and standard in 25. The 25 standard out of the box out performs an mrod in every aspect so far. Larger mag. More shots at higher power. More adjustments. Lighter and a side lever plus the mag is way better. Fit and finish is on par with most any high end gun plus a great finished barrel crown. I'm more than impressed for $320. I'll grab a magnet to test for you though just to be thorough.

In the last couple months I’ve set up two different budget friendly PCP’s for friends. I wish these guns would have been an option. Thank god those guys don’t surf the internet sniffing out everything PCP related. Can’t wait to see how consistent the QC is once a ton of them get sold. I will be watching because these could be the best bang for your buck guns out there.
