I think we all understand that the issue was your doing, I don't know what etching is. If they shipped you the product just sell it and don't let them recoop the restock.fee. 

If this a product that they can sell and a product that sells, they should work with you.. 

Did you speak with a owner or manager? Explain the situation and what you spent? Or some clerk doing what he was told? 

What's the saying: "It takes years to gain someone's business and minutes to loose it."

There's other distributors out there that will take your money I'm sure...

Im small potatoes for Utah airguns they don't care about the small guy. Some guys spend five times more then I do. They got to big to fast. Also all the post that don't agree with me have either no posts or there employees . Not my first baseball game

I understand that you may be a little upset, but I think you might be blowing this out of proportion. I also think that you’re not taking into consideration your own culpability. 

My own experience with Utah Airguns was nothing short of excellent and I’d have a hard time faulting them for this minor incident.

My advice to you would be to just forget about it and move on. 

And no, I am not employed by them.

I see most of you don't see my point. I think I supported them with local airgun guys ect. I supported them with my money also , But never has Utah supported me the customer, sorry. So you come to my store hypotheticly. you spend a lot of money with me then you want to return a 100 dollar item and I say to you ok but you have to pay a 15$ handling charge. Why not make it a $1 charge to piss me off more.

While I agree that 15% restocking fee is not to my liking but it is in the terms so that’s that. No need to shame the company for the term you agreed to knowingly or not. you definitely should look into bakers and AOA, they might not have a restocking fee. 


sadly airgun stuff is no where near big enough to have awesome return policy like midway or few other PB related sites.

Nine grand a year on an airgun hobby doesn't seem like small potatoes to me, but what do I know? When I make a mistake I own it and move on.

The newest FX liners are supposed to have their specs laser etched onto the exterior so that you don't have to guess or measure to figure out which liner it is.

This is far from true. This isn't the 80s anymore. We live in a day and age where you go online to shop. There will always be bad reviews but when the good reviews outweigh the bad, you're store will do just fine. Look how many people came to Utahs defense here...

Telling a few bad customers to kick rocks will not hurt your buisness in the slightest. Judging by this guys responses here, he is the worst of the worst as far as annoying customers go.

I never discus that but it's not in that category because he neither holds or is running for an office. It is no more so than a picture of George Washington. Regardless two wrongs don't make a right. Maybe you could try the "he did it too" defense while pointing out other's who hurl insults at those they disagree with.

I said "skirting the rules" and "obvious intention" which it clearly is. You can deny your intentions with having that as your profile picture all you want but you and I both know you are completely full of it...

Since you clearly like to play the semantics card and all, I never "hurled" insults at OP. If you look closely, I defended Utahs decision and gave an argument for it to another commenter. Nothing was actually directed at OP himself.

Edit: that isn't even semantics lol. That is a fact that is easily discernable by looking at my comment and then reading through the rest of the thread.
