majority of time when hunting squirrels I use the 25 but I also have used the 22 when I know the area will offer shots less than 50 yds. It Is a mater of range for me
Yea Ron, you are correct. I have both the Weihrauch and a couple of the Truglos. The Truglos are brighter and the FO is a smaller dia. The only thing the Weihrauch has going for it is it's metal. They tie in the goofy category, although the truglo is a bigger sight. These are perfect for that. They're a bargain for $13. The Weihrauch one is like $60 and won't be as bright. They're made of metal but hood cut out makes it at least as weird looking. You'll thank me when you get to use yours.
The clear ring pops off but I like it better with it on there. I dripped some clear acrylic glue along it's seams to keep it in place when I cock the rifle. I still hate how it looks but it works too good to take off.
Be well
Ron
Too true! I know this too well. I rarely shoot pellets, I often prefer to shoot slugs, unless the gun just doesn't have the power to shoot them fast enough to expand or accurately.Seems like it in that gun huh!
Maybe with some tuning those results might change! Slugs are evil beasts and can be really picky on the speed they like. Really not a fair comparison without tuning for each slug.
Sounds horrifying. LolI learned that if you convert the Hatsan Jet 1 to the Jet 2 with the double cylinders, make sure you do a good job of tightening both grub screws. Otherwise the pressure will push the cylinders away from the block and transfer port and you'll see a huge drop in fps. Worst case is that the cylinders become dangerous projectiles (luckily I figured this out in time!).
Wow Tommy, the 199 Card must have a sub 1/4" spread over all 20 shots - Awesome. You have the RAW dialed in!!Went to the range today. Nice warm temps, keep em' coming.
I had the RAW TM1000X .177 ( just cleaned barrel ) with me this morning. Wind was light and I just had my Randolph front mechanical rest cleaned and now have the horizontal windage knob actually 'working.' This is good because before it would not work and I would constantly pick up my rear Protektor bag and move horizontally from bull to bull. I knew this was inefficient but underestimated how problematic it is for getting adjusted for each shot. Now, I just use the knob and can move left or right across the row I am shooting.
Shot three 40Y Masters Cards and four 30Y Masters cards:
40Y Masters:
189-5X
192-8X
193-8X ( Will submit this for leaderboard in March )
30Y Masters
191-12X
194-12X
198-11X
199-15X ( Will submit this for leaderboard in March )

Seems like it in that gun huh!So altaros remain king!
Barrel length doesn't determine accuracy but efficiency by not having to use higher reg pressure to get to your FPS, but i would go 25.Have narrowed it down to 0.22 caliber, mainly to lower cost of ammo. If I ever decide to compete, may switch to 30 cal. Now just debating 600mm vs 700mm - I do love a shorter gun, but also want to maximize possible accuracy!
So altaros remain king!

Last year while on chipper safari I could see the front sight while in the woods. This may be the ticket. Thanks Ron.
