Tuning  .177 for Hunter FT or just a nice hunter

I can see where some stone work and maybe change the intermediate sear angle could drastically improve it.
We never got the Kuzey airguns up here. What are the Reximex like ? Are they close to this?
Reximex is a cross. Shares mags with the Kuzey. More Kral like on trigger and action yet all 3 are a little unique of each other.

Taipan  Thats unfortunate

#1 spot to look ... where the air tubes rear most section screws into receiver. The o-ring in that position is pressed into a V shape against the valve seat face ... it it prone to harden & fail !!!
So I will be replacing all the tube orings for sure being how old it is however I went to fill it up and air is pissing out the weep hole for the regulator. My guess would be outer oring on reg failed?

30-Yard Challenge

Maybe this has already been brought up? But would like to know if you shoot a .22 do you use a .22 plug and what’s the scoring Dia. .2155 which is the outer dia. Of the Scoring ring from the plug of 10m with the clear plastic magnifier?
If you use a .177 dia. Plug then there is a lot of play which is open for interpretation. Note: I turned my aluminum Mike N. Plugs to .2145 for scoring Dia. And the plug Dia. Is .1795 and .1965 for the .22 if these dimensions are close to what you’re seeing? I turned Mikes plugs slightly smaller than than the 10m plugs.

Hi Joe,

The official rules of our challenge specify that a .22 scoring gauge is used - whether shooting .177 or .22 (or .25 - the .22 gauge still kinda works).

This is the scoring gauge (plug) that I use. I also have Freeland’s .177 gauge.

I will put calipers on my Freeland .22 gauge and give you the diameter.

CS4 - maintenance after no use for 2 years?

I purchased a CS4 in 23, did the recommended maintenance after the first 4 hours of use but since then it has sat unused for about 2 years. Before I fire it up again any advice as to maintenance it may or may not need after sitting that long?
Change the water preferably, pump it out. Check the grease knob. Remove the cover and inspect for cobwebs or dust and just clean like you would a computer.

What did you do airgun related today.

Watched a squirrel wreck havoc on my neighbors tomato plants while daring that mangy flea bag to step one
curse-ed, disease carrying claw near my bird feeder.
Three down this evening. They've been digging in the tomato garden, wiped out one bed of new carrots and lopped off all the bottle-brush flowers. Mama said they gotta go. I usually does what she tells me. :)

Airgun Technologies  Uragan 3 compact .22 - adjustment

I have set up my uragan 3 compact to 160 atm. I am using jsb knocaut 1.645 gr with a speed of 892 fps. From refueling to 280 atm, I get 2 full drums with excellent accuracy per 100 meters. The farthest crow was mined at 191 meters
Nice to get this information from you. Thanks
Does your barrel also like .217?
This is what my U3 looks like.

Huben  Huben GK1 Holsters

View attachment 391737

This first holster is made by Uncle Mike’s. It’s called a sidekick scopes holster for an 8” barrel. The pistol fits snug with a red dot on it but is loose if using iron sights. Credit to @Genob for finding this one.

With no other options for a holster I made my own.

Handmade from Herman Oak English bridle leather. Hand stitched using saddle stitch method to lock in every stitch ensuring longevity. (Top holster is slightly flared at muzzle end to accept a moderator)
Is anyone still making these, think I might have a go.

Meopta Optika6 4.5-27x50 Sunshade?

If you own this or probably the 18X version do you know the answer? The sunshade for this scope is stupid expensive, Like around $50 So...
I was going through my 50mm sunshades and can't find one that fits the objective of this scope.
I no longer have a 50mm objective Athlon or would check that.
Does anyone know if there is a sunshade that fits?

BTW this scope has extremely clear glass.. Very nice.

30-Yard Challenge

Hi Marvin,

Yes, I will remove the previous 199 16X from the 40-Masters board - I posted to the wrong board… should have gone on the 40-Challenge board. Of course , you have now beat it with the 200 40-Challenge.

Great cards at both 40-Challenge and 40-Masters - congrats on the 200!

Phenomenal shooting Marvin! I truly admire these high scores with .177’s at 40 yards.

97 cubic foot tank or 4500 air compressor for being a couple hundred miles away from civilization 2000 to 3,000 shots per day thank you

If you can refill at night so you only have to worry about 1 day's air the above suggests 3 tanks for 3,000 shots per day.

Not sure you have time to wait for gun refills to shoot 3,000 rounds per day. But maybe if you have multiple guns and somebody in charge of refilling them. For my guns that are smaller than it sounds like you will be using my GX CS2 fills them in about 3 minutes. Big guns could take 5 minutes. On a 8 amp hour battery I can conservatively get 6 refills. So maybe 4 on a gun storing more air. 50 shots per fill (rough guess) means about 60 refills to get 3000 shots. So maybe 15 8 amp hour batteries. If you have a vehicle with an alternator you could use that to run the smaller GX compressors to reduce or eliminate the need for batteries. Or a small generator would work. I also have two big 120V 15A Milwaukee batteries. They weigh about 50 lbs so they are portable but I wouldn't want to carry them through the woods. They would power a compressor using about 1800 watts. I have run my Yong Heng with all it's peripherals on one. When I loose power I run a critical loads circuit in my house which includes my refrigerator with one of these batteries for 6-8 hours. The GX compressors seem more efficient in their power usage. My guess is you could run a GX 2, 3, or 4 for a day on one of these batteries. But that is just a guess.

I guess 3000 rounds of pb ammo is not weightless either but any way you do it, hauling air to run an airgun at this level will mean hauling some weight. Hand pumps are light and easily portable but a lot of work.
