Time behind the wheel. Shoot two more tins of pellets and see if you can s-l-o-w-l-y move into position, load and follow thru after the shot. Make the loading process, including bolt/breech manipulation, pellet loading and cocking a slow ritual. Make your aiming a separate ritual.

I'm serious and respectful. I hope that you look past my imprecise word choices and do a bit of research into this "making a task a ritual" idea. I did not come up with it on my own.

Kind regards,
Mike

Comparison: 3-18x50 FFP: Athlon ETR —vs.— Bushnell Match Pro ED

@JungleShooter Bushnell scopes are ok as long as your scope is good and you caught a good sale. Warranty service has been spotty at best for me. It took me several months just to get in contact with a Bushnell rep. Once I reached someone, she sent me the part I requested free of charge. I wouldn’t rush to buy another of their products, but I like most of the Bushnell gear I have.

Here’s a link to the Athlon scope For $900.Dunno if that’s a good price to you. It appears to be back ordered 1-2 weeks from the manufacturer.

Still cheaper than ordering from Athlon. Here’s the reticle

Here’s what Athlon is charging ordering direct.

Thanks for the links! 😊

Yeah, "good price" is a relative term.

For weeks now I've been seeing this scope on sale at EuroOptic.com and at ScopeList.com for
$584 new.

So, THAT'S what I consider good (the problem is, I'm a MIL guy, and they are out of the MIL version just now...). 😃

A price for a used scope would have to adapt to that 584$ new, I suppose.

What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Today was my personal best. 10 rounds, from 67 feet. From a .177 break barrel Blackhawk scoped. All in the 3-inch bullseye, I shoot seated with homemade bag rest on the top of my BBQ grill. Finally found a pellet my rifle likes now to tighten the group up.:D

What is more poplular Ebay or Gunbroker?

You didn't let me check both. Bought some on AA too. And who knows where else the last 40 years. A lot.
You got it
I want it
I buy it
Now it's mine, I don't come crawling back whining. Can't remember doing that. Well,... maybe once. Might have mentioned a thing or two before but that's all. Maybe because I bought so much vintage stuff. I bought it when and where I found it, could be anywhere. But newer stuff too. I have amassed a lot.
Tyler makes me want to buy something from him. He has cool stuff and both times I saw him at the Carlisle show I thought he's a decent guy. Can't say that about everybody. And I don't say that about just anybody.

Resources  Mac1 USFT shooting techniques???

Hey guys,

Say I am planning on my first field target match, well first one in over 10 years, down in the twin cities. Was able to talk my wife into allowing me to shoot the match while we are in town ........ for her birthday :D Gotta say I love this woman as she lets me do things like this, though I am sure it will cost me some how. lol

But I have been shooting this rifle and while the rifle will shoot lights out all the time, I just can't seem to get anything repeatable. Having issues mainly with the bolt movement, and getting things lined up on target. Then the off set grip has been taken quite a bit to get used to and not twist the rifle when shooting. I am really wanting to keep the rifle and to keep shooting it, but I just can't get comfortable behind the rifle! Do you guys have any ideas or tips to help with the comfort of the rifle?

I really don't want to move the rifle down the road to the next person, but if I can't get comfortable behind the rifle I may end up selling the rifle......

Any thoughts or help?

Snowpeak  Artemis P15 5.5mm - location of hammer spring adjustment screw

yes I'm after more power than I'm getting now with that bust up regulator because they're not even reaching 850.00 with a 7.56 grain pellet I'm getting, well sorry the best I got was 839.3 which is a disappointment 😕, and the 10.34 grain are getting in there 750.00 area. when I got the gun is was shooting fine I got a few times 1000fps after that they stayed in the 9 90 980 fps but yes ultimately I'm after power 🤝 thank you
hi thank you for replying to me so would the smaller one, the one that doesn't have the plenum, does that one let you go up to 12 lb and above by any chance? if I was to get the one with the plenum how much air space would be lost, alot, or a small amount? thank you 🤝 all the best D

What springer did you shoot today?

Here’s today’s standing fiver, 20 meters. Measures just under 3.5 moa.

I’ve got the HW77 right where I want it now as far as tune, sights, etc. Now I’m looking at custom stocks so I can get a more comfortable hold. Anyone willing to chime in on Lucas Parlsey or Craftsman VIT?

Western Airguns  Does the Western Mordax have enough fpe?

For me, it's not the power so much as it is the shot count. I'm fine with 30-40 fpe, but only getting 2 mags per fill at best just isn't enough for a select fire airgun. I really don't like having to constantly refill.
Welcome to my world…
I had a same feeling about my gk1 at first few fills…
and then I found a sweet spot
4 mags
at around 750fps
and about 30yds…
loving it…

FX  Tuning Fx Impact .30

A new air gunner or new to FX should always start with pellets and a stock airgun! if you get lost because you were making to large of adjustment or going too quickly, it’s super easy to reset. Go back to 100 on reg, 8 on Macro, 3 on Micro and 4 on valve. Stick with stock hammers and springs while learning because heavier hammers and springs will only take away your adjustment curve.
