Tariffs Explained - Pyramyd AIR Insyder

For non De Minimis Exemption purchases, at check-out, you the American customer, will be charged the US CBP required tariff and duties. The vendor will remit both to the carrier who will apply those payments to their CBP bond.

For De Minimis Exemption items, at checkout, the shipping costs should contain the extra money for the carrier's CBP bond.

The catch - if the CBP opens the De Minimis Exemption package and finds a cheap swag item marked "Made in China" then every item in package will be assessed the full tariff for each tariffed item or, if not tariffed, 25 USD for the non tariffed item (the last time I looked).
as before a great explanation, you sure know things and I'm thankful..
do you know how it affects private party, like the classified section?

Tariffs Explained - Pyramyd AIR Insyder

the exemption rule was one of the main points to my question.. you gave a very good and helpful explanation.. so to summarize it, I think you are saying that however the terrifs work, they are basically paid for at the time of sale and whatever company you are buying from takes care of that, so as a customer no matter who ultimately pays the terrifs, it's dealt with up front.. this is very good to hear.. I'd hate anyone to buy something and then get to the point of receiving it and find out they paid for the product and that was the cheapest part..
it's not good to hear that some are just not shipping at basically any price.. but I understand how it could be difficult for a small company to do whatever extra paperwork and forms and stuff.. money aside from the fact..
just for instance if you need a small part and it's only available there and your item is a expensive paper weight without it, I'm sure you might grumble but you'd still prefer to pay even triple the price for a small part of a few dollars that to have a useless paper weight..

The carrier will bill you the difference and most likely won't release your package for delivery until payment is received.

Umarex  Maple Products cocking lever for Notos installed

So far, I like it. Definitely improves the cocking action. I never liked how the stock lever sits totally flat, which makes you have to put your finger in a tight spot under the scope to move it away from the body of the gun, and then a second motion to cock it. Now it's a much more natural motion. I hope the main body of the lever, which is plastic, holds up. I don't shoot mega amounts, but we'll see. Installation was pretty straightforward, even for a rookie like me. I did use a press to remove one of the pins, mostly because a couple of taps with the hammer and punch didn't do it and I felt safer using the press. You have to remove the handle and the short rear Picatinny rail to get to everything.

A couple of photos even though you probably know what it looks like.

Apolo pellets, what's the story?

How Good is Athlon's Warranty?

I don’t think they have the capability of repairs, so they just verify the issue and replace it with a new one. That’s all fine and good if your scope is still in production, but in my case, mine was not. They sent me a completely random scope in a similar price range that was absolutely no use to me, so I sold it as new and got my money back. That was probably five years ago and I just now bought my second Athlon scope. It was a good value and serves my purposes, so I hope it holds up.
Interesting a few years ago , old but true , I bought a Athlon scope at a PB gun show but the guy said the turrets broke , $40 bucks and i had a wonderful spotting scope . Got home and googled Athlon because i never heard of Athlon , Read their Guarantee and on monday sent it to Kansas .
ON thursday i got an Email saying they sent a replacement / got the scope Friday looked it up in their catalog and found it was a $550 scope .
I have always bought my scopes from Athlon . (unless they didn't have a model i was looking for )

Snowpeak  PP750 plenum screw threads help needed

most of the Snowpeak produces use M3 and M4 fasteners except for the frames
now a picture or two could help
hex head key size has nothing to do with threads size but a 3mm grub screw will take a small size hex key than a 3mm hex head screw
the fix is unknow because the problem is not totally known

Huben  All Things HUBEN GK1 (air pistol) - Master Thread

OK, question for those participating in this "All Things Huben GK1" thread.

When did Gk1 come with the traditional square print carbon fiber tubes, and when did they come with shadow carbon fiber tubes? I thought the later ones got switched to the Shadow but I see current ones back to the original one. Curious.

Thanks for any info.

What did you order / receive airgun related today? Thread

I often say i am a slug whore.

BUT ! i have not burned my bridges, and i do have wholesome range fun & challenges with pellets now and then.
Got 10 tins of heavies Friday and i grabbed one and threw it in the ammo box with the slugs, but the wind while not super bad it was alternating and so even at moderate distance ( 50 M ) you had to work hard for your good hits.
During a lull today i even tried 75 M and also 100 M but it was a tough call and in the end i just had to deal with circumstances and get that tin empty.

9 tins / a stick remain, waiting for the good times.
