What did you do airgun related today.

Slowly making progress on the 22XX project, made a pellet probe and bolt handle last night. Next is barrel band and hammer spring retainer with vertical picatinny rail (aka 1913 style) for detachable folding stock.

30-Yard Challenge

Warm humid morning at the range today. I thought we were going to have to build an ‘Ark’ with all the rain we got Sunday thru Wednesday. It was good to get out today.

Wind was very light for the first hour. I had the FX Royale .22 and RAW HM1000X .22 with me.

Started out with the RAW at 40Y Masters distance. The JTS 22.07g was shooting pretty hot at 995 FPS, but ES values were great!

Shot 3 cards:

193-10X
195-10X
197-13X ( wind picked up on this card but very light)
** May Leaderboard submission**

Next up, FX Royale .22 at 40Y Masters
Two 40Y Challenge cards were throw aways (not shown). Last card of the day was a 40Y Masters

190-8X ( Leaderboard for May )

The Leupold 6.5 X 20 X 40mm AO EFR is great at 30, but almost useless at 40Y. I won’t shoot any better score if I don’t mount a beast (high magnification scope ) on the Royale.

Great day.

Favorite El Cheapo’s

FYI. This is best el Cheapo scope I’ve ever bought. It’s crisp and clear. I got several 2-7x32AO. It’s pictured on the Stormrider. I love the reticle. Down here on the “Gulf of America” lol, where it’s always breezy, the windage indications are priceless.View attachment 562789View attachment 562790
I have a couple of the CVLife scopes, they are pretty decent for the price.

FX  Impact Valve Adjuster set screw to lock its position?

So, you do install small set screw there to tighten it up, correct? I don't see one in there, so I guess I have to go find one at the hardware store I guess
I always lock mine down on all my guns. But I forgot to install it back in my one gun and last squirrel season I spun it while shifting positions in the woods. Was at my camp with no notes or digital calipers so I had to wing it.

Remember, it’s just a tiny set screw that touches aluminum. It’s not a lug nut on a car. Just make it barely snug.

Help with these Baracuda Match .177 HnN

T
These are our Baracuda Match in an old packaging (15 years and older). Here is our current product website with basic information:
Stay away from Amazon for ordering pellets. They package the tins extremely poorly
Thank you for info.

HW/Weihrauch  Aperture disks...

No expert, but just looking back on the internet, the FWB 601 rear sight looks a lot like a shortened(front to back)version of the sight on my FWB300s I have a newer 602 and it is a more modern looking sight plastic cover/shroud on the front of the sight which I guess helps to mitigate glare.
Most of my guns wear old Anschutz diopters, with Gehmann adjustable Iris installed. basically the 510, and a couple with 1.5x diopters, and one with color filters. One little gun a HW30 has a Williams sight with a Gehman 502 iris installed, it is the "mini" model a much smaller diameter than the larger 510, leaving a more sporter look on the gun.
Yes, the FWB 600/601 rearsight was essentially just a short-base version of the one on the 300.

Rules clarification, Pistol Field Target, Scope magnification

I click my turrets wildly up and down in anticipation of actually using the center dot of my scope rather than Kentucky windage; where my holdover’s often place my pellets in the next county.

Shooting 56 grain Zans at 12 foot pounds, R?

Thanks for your pre-registration. (y)

FX  Impact Valve Adjuster set screw to lock its position?

Hi, Impact M3 valve adjuster knob. When I walk around woods holding gun just so around that area, I managed to move that know couple of time by accident. I see that it has holes for set screws, is there a way to put a set screw there to lock it in it's position to prevent from accidental interference? Anyone done that? Or maybe there is a better way to lock it in place. thank you.

I travel with mine, put. It in a soft case and man handle it like crazy, carry it right under the bottle neck and have never had mine. Move. I just put a scope sticker on it for a while when I was worried and it never moved.

Unreliable airguns

So I was watching a video on top 5 unreliable firearms and it got me wondering. What would be your top 5 most unreliable airguns?
I find that to be highly subjective based in the user. My least reliable air guns have been a benjamin trail np because the gas piston failed and my crosman cfam1 full auto m1 carbine. The reliability tends to correlate to the content of chinesium parts imho.

Tuxing and Vevor from same factory?

I would be willing to place high stakes that many more than just these 2 come out of the same factory.
There's generally a couple factories making parts of varying quality and final assembly trim Ime, if not 1 factory making "industrial. Lego components" . The paint schemes tell a lot of the story. I was looking at an "alpha carette" compressor from a vendor here and noticed the paint scheme. Found it was made by tuxing and started to explore their site and ended up with a 4 cylinder monster for the same price Instead. Now I can fill scbas willy nilly in a few minutes.

As for budget orange Shoebox clones, my buddies twisted off the motor shaft, mine arc flashed in the power supply yesterday... A mosfet failed short. Other than that they've been a value for the price overall. Mine still works.
