N/A  The most shots per fill....

P35X-TB, 600cc, pretty sure the cocking arm can be swapped over. Looks around $700+import and prolly need to contact a snowpeak dealer to special order.

Personally I'd probably try to bottle mod something.

My Diana chaser tube with 15cc 4500psi bottle. Not to bad I'd say lol.

250cc , 15 cubic inch I think you meant.

Crosman 622 trigger upgrade question

it is a simple setup looking at the parts diagram
the torsion spring will make it hard to improve unless you can make a new lighter spring or come across one that would work
how the trigger Part 622-09 and part 622-024 trigger block interact and what material they are made of could be a place to work on, but you cannot polish monkey metal but some grease will help

Marginal gains and barrel/projectile choice

Very interesting!!

Was it you that posted the BC test link? I think the only barrel in 177 that is going to beat the 20 cal for BC is that slow twist poly and it seems your tests have concluded this as well. I know a bunch of people who just love the slow polys and swear they are the secret weapon for wind.

I have one of these in a batch of barrels i'm testing currently...

I'd like to see either barrel against a 1:17 12 groove regular twist 177 with 10.34's and 13.43's.

Yes, it was me that shared some of the data from my few guns and @Arzrover's extensive testing of his larger collection.

Funny that you say that about seeing a comparison against a 12 land and groove .177, cuz about an hr ago I sent him a text saying I might do just that.

For a second I thought you had a slow twist poly 20 cal...

I almost had my banker on the phone! LOL

Yes, a slow twist poly in .20 should be simply amazing, if only they existed.

RTI  .25 Mora and it’s first range trip

I was able to unscrew the end cap from the baffles on mine. I am borrowing a .30 now and I unscrewed his but the baffle came unscrewed from the barrel and the baffle stayed with the shroud and end cap which I think is what you are describing?
Yep that’s exactly what happened… if I ever take it off again I’ll see whether I can get the end cap loose but I don’t see how with the baffles being attached to the barrel…

HW/Weihrauch  HW35E-Great Rifle

Only with age do you understand all the beauty and advantages of this rifle. In my youth I had a HW30 for indoors and a HW90 for everything else, and I didn't need anything else. I didn't even look at such a big, low-power and useless rifle as the HW35, that's what I thought when I was 25. Now I'm 53 and a year ago I also bought a .177 HW35e on sale at AOA, I really liked the HW35e.

Remarks:
We had one weekend before to setup the upper pond course from scratch. We had to do minimal clearing of the woods and used many of the previous lanes and added new ones. We had to minimize the distance between lanes to make a more compact course in preparation for the Nationals in October.
The clubhouse course was already set up and ready for the grand prix.
We were able to chronograph everyone both days before each rifle match and provide stickers for both days.
Both courses were set up with the same difficulty with the average distances over 40 yards with the majority having full sized kill zones.
We had a few minutes before the shooter’s safety meeting to do a group photo at the pavilion.
Brain VL had problems with his Steyr LG100 air cylinder leaking and could not compete. However, he did shoot the pistol match. He did try shooting the upper pond rifle course with his pistol for fun.
All 30 shooters shot on the same course both days. All lanes had two shooters each. We mixed the different classes on Saturday to allow people to shoot with someone new. On Sunday, we paired the shooters according to their scores.
We had sunny weather on Saturday with light variable winds. Shooting went smoothly with a few cold lines related to strings breaking and one lever bracket on a target that loosed up and got stuck in the high position to block the kill zone.
On Saturday, many experienced missed shots on medium ranges with full kill zone targets and attributed them to some unseen wind conditions down range.
After the rifle match, we had lunch served with some ice cream as dessert.
After lunch, we had a few shooters practice for pistol and standing match. We had last minute additions to all standing rifle match which made a total of 13 participants. We will do the same match again for the Nationals. We had one shooter accompanied by a scorer instead of having a three-person squad.
On the pistol course, we had one target protested and replaced since it showed some tendency to bind.
Of special note, Bob J shot hands only on the pistol course. I would have joined him, but I was already shooting all standing rifle. For the Nationals, an award will be provided for the top hands only pistol shooter.
On Sunday, rain was forecasted. We put up some pop-up canopies along the open areas (no leaves) of the course. Some lanes would be sheltered from the rain at least.
It rained for 15 minutes after the practice area was closed. We checked the radar maps and determined that heavy rain was passing by. The rest of the day was overcast with variable winds.
We had a few cold lines on Sunday. The worst one was the tree target pole falling. Luckily the target and the pole tree shelf were not damaged. It was fixed by adding more secure straps.
The other cold lines were related to strings getting caught against the barks of the trees.
Ron D decided not to shoot Sunday but still was there to help act as marshal for the course. He also acted as score keeper for Greg S.
Most finished shooting by 12:30 pm. Barbecue lunch was served with ice cream for dessert.
After lunch, the auction was held and then the raffle items.
Finally, we handed out the awards. The first-place finishers were given a special laser engraved RFG white owl faceplates in addition to the walnut plaques. The faceplates can be used on Gamo Squirrel or Umarex Deer field targets.
Thank you to the people who attended. Thank you most, especially to all the RFG volunteers who made this event possible.

What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Another 2 fly targets shot this morning both with 2 shots each and thinking of Thomas with my Vet2 @ 20yds....

Good shooting! If I ever live where I can shoot outside again I want to try this for real 😁 I used to hunt grasshoppers in the late summer years ago with an HW 30 Cabbage butterflies are pretty good targets too. I used to shoot them with my recurve and judo points in my hay field. I miss those days
