Pyramid Air never again

Ordered FX Hybrids from Pyramid Air and they were delivered by Amazon packed loose in a giant envelope the Hybrid box inside was torn up and randomly taped together with packing tape and to make things even better 3 slugs were missing!?!?!? Received slugs 2 days earlier from Utah Air and you would have thought they were shipping precious gems triple wrapped with paper and bubble wrap saved no money by going through Pyramyd so easy decision where I'll be buying all my slugs in the future.

Huben  GET SHORTY! ARES Huben GK1 (Short Version) .25 cal (Video) Full Review

20250508_123252.jpg

This gun is the best. Ares Airguns Tactical has to cut a full size Huben GK1 down to make these. If you get a shorty from any other dealer, I can't guarantee it will be this accurate. It's super easy to screw the barrel up if it's not cut at exactly the right point in the rifling. Zach has it down, as you will see. Thanks for watching! -Nate

Krale And UPS Import charge??

JimD, your tip on calling Krale was a very helpful to me.

If I had not called them, my P35X would have stayed with UPS for who knows how long, and never shipped back to Krale like I thought.

I have the utmost respect for Krale. They are good folk and very easy to deal with. I will use them again when tariffs are not a big issue.

Once I called them, everything moved faster, and they gave me my options. Within and hour after getting off the phone with them, I had an email saying that they would contact UPS, find out the fee for shipping to them, and then get back to me.

It took a few days for email response, but they did respond.

However, calling them is absolutely the best way to get action. Using your mobile phone's wi-fi calling doesn't even incur a charge as long as you keep airplane mode on.

do i take the plunge to thermal scope?

Around here, asking questions like "Should I...." is only gonna generate one response....Yes you should :)

AGN is just a huge den of unrepentant enablers spending other peoples money...... I can speak with some authority on that because Ive been on both sides of that...... :)

The next model/upgrade for any product is always around the corner. Buy what you have a need for NOW and ignore the eventual upgrade notice....

What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

It would seem like there is a sniper hidden inside my never shot a single shot before little sister.

This is her shooting 30 M with my FX maverick and 10.43 gr JSB heavy pellets, in rather high winds.
So much wind me shooting 13 gr slugs i dident bother going out past 75 M, well not before 9 in the evening when it calmed down, then i was shooting chalks at 118 M.

Using my Oneleaf NV 500 scope, CUZ it is clear that she still need to get to terms with use of conventional scopes.

BTW there is at least 40 shots in there ( center dot ), if there is 50 i would not be surprised.
Top R dot was me zeroing in scope CUZ updated firmware the day before.

Your sister is a natural! How cool is that!?

Guantlet SL .22

It actually shoots quite well until the rifling fouls.
Try the H&N Copperclad pellets if you don't have it repaired first. Hajimoto, is a good place for the repair.
I also want to mention fhat the regulator on this gun is extremely consistent, and it has never leaked. The trigger can be set up really nice with patience.

My response was referring to the image selection for AGN. Although I did have a G2 it was a 30SL, very nice gun!

Guantlet SL .22

That's the exact same thing I get.

Crosman pellets

Have had great luck with a pile Diana's 25,27,34, 350 and 48s. For plain old fun and a bit of pesting.
Gamo Urban and .22 Air Force Talon ss for PCPs. Have shot a fair bit of H+N and JSBs
and yes they are slightly superior in quality.
For anyone that's not a match shooter it's splitting hairs for typical fun shooting.

Now that Gamos taken the helm ,I guess it's a moot point. Glad i have a good stash.

Other  PCP for PRS22

First off welcome to the world of PCP's!
Depending on your skill set, tools available and the level you enjoy tuning and modifying things tends to guide which options might work best for you.

Short answer is currently FX has the most tested LR smallbore slug gun system on the market, it has its weaknesses and there's a bunch of good and bad about the brand but its really the main option currently for a bunch of reasons.

My suggestion is take your pick between the Panthera 600mm and DRS 700mm. in .22 or .25(I believe under the new PRS rules you can tune a .25 with Altaros to 880fps and still qualify under the new FPE based rules) and the 600mm version panthera because I assume with the larger tank and plenum it will have more than enough air to compensate for the shorter barrel while still keeping power and I highly recommend running a suppressor like the STO Falix which with the 700mm gets a bit long. But for the DRS I like the margin the 700mm barrel/tube gives for tuning and it saved me some $$ since it comes with the SHP plenum.

Get some Altaros slugs and set it up for 880-910fps should get you about MOA +- groups at 100yds depending on the rifle and give you an excellent BC. A lot of people also like a bunch of other slugs on the market and push them 1,000fps plus, works for them. Myself, I knew I was gonna be tight on air/shot count with the DRS, and the biggest or should I say most difficult factor for most in PRS is the wind, so I chose to go with the highest BC option and the Altaros are a very proven performer in the FX slug liner, combine that with only needing to push them to 880-900fps and I’m able to get 24 shots per fill, so in the event I forget to top of after a stage I won’t bomb a stage from dropping off the reg and allowing me to stay safely in my reg if I dryfire a few to reset the reg, clear the chamber for a ceasefire etc. and saved me doing a bunch of tuning and testing with the 100 other type and sizes of slugs on the market of late.

If I was doing it all over again I might go with a 600mm Panthera since this season I’m switching my centerfire rig to a MDT chassis and the Panthera would allow my to emulate that easier and I’d imagine I could get enough shots per fill to do 3 lanes between fills and I would be very similar length to my centerfire rig while running a falx or I could even switch up to a sarrissa for an even quieter rig and in my opinion quieter is always more enjoyable ;)

But for value new, the DRS is hard to beat when you factor in replacing the rails on the Panthera to make it stiff and get the right balance and adding weights etc. but I say that because I was able to easily inlet a stock for the DRS to make it competition ready. with the value of Panthera’s used having tanked there are a lot of great deals coming up for them used and personally I think they looks pretty sharp as well.

RAW, is another option, but the bottle design is a bit different on the barricades vs the nearly identical profile to you rimfire/centerfire you can achieve with a DRS/Panthera. And if you club does many porthole type barricades you may find some impossible do to rifle+scope height.
This is getting very long so I'll end it there but if you have questions ask away, there are several shooters here on AGN that compete in Rimfire PRS & NRL22 comps with PCP's

A video you might like with Allen Zasadny about airgun theory

Well, everybody I’m kind of in the love/Hate Boat with everybody else..… I sent him an AnSchultz gun that he had worked on before back somewhere in October 2024, he still has my gun…
I do have his personal phone number and he did text message me at one time in March letting me know that he had basically had not worked on anything because he’s been working on his house and he should get to everything in April.
Well, it’s now May and I’ve heard nothing from him and I have called him multiple times as well as messaged him and it’s been crickets unfortunately. I really would like to get my gun back…

Anybody have any suggestions??

Looking down that brand new barrel

Will the mirror attachments also fit in .22 airgun barrel? If so, I am tempted to order the link. I have some which look like that, but they won't fit into a .22 airgun barrel.
The advertisement says that it will fit a .22, just be sure to read the fine print.

The Teslong that I got a couple of years ago was around $50 and works with the included mirror attachments.
