Donny FL Emperior needed attn: 300lbs slugs through

I recently had some accuracy problems with my .510 Texan..Upon inspection cleaning ..I shined a light down my Donny Emperior..Part or the screen had seperated and a single wire was hitting the slugs going through the moderator..I removed the wire and felt cleaned my barrel an accuracy restored..I shot at least 300 lbs of powder coated cast slugs through..The felt was pretty clogged in places and way heavier than it should be..After removing felt and screen i can tell any difference in noise level... Anyways check your Donny FL and see what is going on inside...
Which one, old style or most recent?

Umarex  Zelos pics ..

Picked this up for cheap on eBay after the seller couldn't reseal it. Added a c88 valve and an FX liner kit. I have a .22 500mm superior liner in it now. It's doing about 45-50fpe with the reg set at 165bar. At 50m it shoots alot of stuff well but at 100m the 23g H&N .218 do the best.

I picked up a 700mm heavy and the extension as well so will test it next week.

165 reg. Do you remember Hammerspring turns ? From flush ?
This is with no porting or plenum increase ?

Impressive power.

Reading the wind

Mirage is my next go to wind indicator if I can't use the string.

It's very important to focus your scope between you and the target when finding mirage. If you just look at the mirage behind the target...you are seeing the wind behind the target...not in front of it. Some scopes are good at seeing mirage and others are not. My Leupold is very good and I can leave the focus at 40-45y when viewing mirage and still see a 55y target well enough that I don't have to refocus and shoot.

200 Yard Airgun Range Ready for Use!!!

I finally last year in November got my tractor restored and to our family property that has been overgrown for 20 years...I thought i need a forestery multcher...But with funds limited i gave the Kubota 3010D and 5 ft king kutter brush hog a go....It took me a month...a few days a week...slow but steady progress...brush 10 ft tall...going in reverse 1 gear backwards..dodgeing jajers...I had to keep a leaf blower on the tractor..To blow off engine and radiator from leaves and fuzzy seeds..every 30 min... I have to have a shooting range i can drive to the targets..Im handicap somtimes crutchs and cane..Getting gear to car a challange some days.. The 60 acre field i have the shooting range on is reclaimed coal property..There were and are old coke ovens in the hill..All the ground is basically a slate base...You can drive on year round...Not muddy..A good base...The grass and jagers weeds trees ect still grow on this ground.. So I have a semi level,,for my area..200-250 yard range cut that I drive my Honda CRV easily to the targets .. I have had my .510 Texan going on 5 years with a Coldshot Mil adjustable base...I have been wanting to use my coldshot mil base for long rang for a long time...I was again not able to walk move much having a bad day..I loaded up the Texan with minimal gear went to try out my new shooting 200 yard shooting range...I roughed it..I used a plastic sign for a target...Layed down in what used to be 10 ft high blackberry patch...Used my bipod and rear bag,and tethered 5500 psi regualted to 3625psi...I shot at least 35 rounds at 200 yards..Big Texan shot better than i expected..It wasnt a good health movement day..So one trip to target was it ..More good days will come..Working on getting a office utility trailer there for a perment shooting shack and a place to stay on the property..I don't know whether ill be able to build perment benches..Everything heavy..i struggle..For know i updated my BOG tripod to 55mm ball head and purchased a second smaller ball head tripod with V-yoke for the rear of the stock second point of contact.. So all in all i finally have a place to strech my Airforce legs out a bit..I hope to be able in the future to share my range with some of the next gereration and teach them the old ways of shooting sports...Thanks to the support and encourgement from the forum members..Airguns are my go to activity when my physical mobility is limited..

How cool is that?!

Well done!!
Congratulations. And that with all the limitations involved.

Please, do carry on.
For every airgunner who is building a range of that length
there are at least 1000 airgunners who would love to build such a range
but cannot do it (no space, no time, no money, no permission, no joy....).

Carry on, man!! 👍🏼 More power to you!! 💪🏼

Hatsan  Maybe AGN can help me get a certain airrifle.

Hi AGN, It's been a bit. I have a 22cal Hatsan Flashpup bolt action I bought 5+ years ago. Great gun, zero problems except for the magazines. witch is not a problem for me.
So,,,Hatsan has came out with an upgraded version of the Flashpup . A Flashpup S version.A Side lever. And I would really like to get it . Yes yes there are the synthetic versions here in America. "BUT" The USA distributor does not have the model I want and they say they can't get it." did they even try? " If you look on Hatsans main site in Turkey you will find the version I want. It has the the wood stock. Is there any way I can get it? I don't speak or read Turkey so I don't see how to contact them. Come on AGN,make my day.

Nightforce scopes NX8 or ATACR

If your main priority is PRS or F-Class kinds of shooting, get the. 7-35 ATACR. If hunting is your main priorly, get the NX8. Both are vary good scopes, but they aren’t really in the same category.
ATACR is built like a tank, and has a bigger objective, which means better FOV and less finicky parallax. NX8 is smaller, lighter and easier to move around with, and its cheaper. I think the ATACR had better glass overall, but I can only see the differences at high magnification and they are not huge.

I’ve got a couple of each, and like them, but they have some significant differences.

FX  Are expensive PCPs worth it?

Hey I'm gearing up for yotes and turkey myself. Stock 380mm 25 dreamtact at 43 fpe for the turkeys and close stuff pellets only. Money pit 700mm impact at 72 fpe in 22 slugs only. I feel really confident about predator hunting headshots with it since it shoots thru 1 1/8 cdx plywood and aluminum signs ez pz. 30 should be able to do it with pellets no problem I'd think.
My state is odd when it comes to hunting with airguns. You can hunt almost everything with them except deer and turkey. Turkey here is only legal to hunt with shotgun, no clue why.
There was talk about letting airguns into deer season but they couldn't figure out what part of the season they should be part of (musket, muzzle loader, or rifle). And of course there are people that don't believe airguns are powerful enough . The talks apparently never came to anything.

Want to horde a little O-rings.

Oring have been a problem for all of us for as long as we have needed them
they want 4 buck for a factory Oring we can buy 50 for 7 bucks and the conclusion is buy the bag of Orings
now if you are in this game long enough you will have your own Oring store to source from
have you wasted money well maybe but i damn well hate paying 4 bucks for a 8 cent Oring
now i have used the Oring Store for years and their ship was about 4 to 5 bucks but when it became almost 10 bucks i went sourcing for somewhere else to buy but the search for Orings is an ever-challenging deal
some time you just bite the bullet and spend the money and of course the metric rings are the hardest to find i odd sizes
i have been chasing Oring for 20 years

Diana  Diana Model 52 used price

I have a 48 in .177 (for 30+ years), and a 52 in .22 that I recently bought off of a client for $50 (it had a bent bear trap release lever and he had let it sit for years in the back of his safe. It actually predates my 48). The 48 and 52 models are basically identical besides the stock. My 48 in .177 is an absolute tack driver and has taken small game out to 60 yards. The 52 I just got back together not long ago after receiving parts from Germany. I put a Leupold VX3 on top and she is pulling duty as pest control now that spring is in the air and so is love for all the nuisances.

You would do well hunting with either caliber in full power, but I have also seen them tuned down with a simple Vortex kit and they are quite gentlemanly.

One of the nice things about the Diana sidelevers is that, even though they are on the heavy side, you can very easily add a sling to them for walking the fields (or desert in my case). The extra weight also helps with steadying offhand shots.

I think you’d enjoy a 52 in .177, especially at such a reasonable price! They aren’t making any more of them and they’re just getting more rare.

Airgun Technologies  Applying Heat Shrink Tubing to Outside of Barrel?

??? is the barrel actually inside the air tube ? i mean is the air pressure actually touching the outside of the barrel ?I thought the air tube is a tube outside of the barrel ?
Meaning the barrel is actually part of the air tube and sealed at both ends , breach and muzzle ?
Obviously i know nothing of this model gun . as it does not interest me to own one .
I assumed the air tube was an outer tube with an inner tube and the barrel slides through the inside tube , not part of the air tube .
The barrel sits inside the center of the air tube and screws directly into the block and there is no second tube that insulates the barrel from the high pressure air.. The Air Tube goes over the barrel and also screw into the block. and around the barrel. There is a connecting piece I will call a connecting adapter that the breech end of the barrel that the barrel screws in the center of, and it has outside threads that the air tube screws over the top and is supported by 3 o-rings on the outside of the adapter to keep the barrel centered in the air tube, and 2 o-rings on the inside of the connecting adapter in which the outside of the barrel threads into the inside center of the connecting adapter. The result is a very firm stable centered barrel sitting directly in the center of the air tube.

AEA  Setting up an AEA air rifle

Using my sf compact as an example these are some of the things I do to make things more comfortable and make things work better. After cleaning the barrel with ballistol and applying a small amount of silicone grease on the barrel bolt, and slide. 1) I then start with the magazine fitment. I wipe the back ( black) face with alcohol or lacquer thinner to prep the surfaces for a piece of gorilla tape. I trim off the excess with an exacto blade.
2) If the clear cover is too loose I adjust the spring loaded ball with a 2.5mm hex driver bit. ( bent Allen keys don't fit as tightly as driver bits and can strip the heads of the screws). *Important * on a plastic mag if you try to adjust the screw holding the clear cover on chances are you will break the magazine. Aluminum mags are different and you can adjust the cover screw as well
3) Test fit the magazine, if it's too loose still you can add a second layer.
4) folding buttstock if applicable. Instead of removing the pin and grinding material off to tighten the fit. One piece of clear gorilla tape will make it rattle free. Clean with solvent first.
5) 1/8 × 2 " neoprene foam tape on the cheek rest for comfort. Especially if its an aluminum tank. The adhesive is weak I use a piece of carpet tape to stick to the buttstock
6) grip tape on trigger and on the rifle for hand placement. Under $10 on Amazon
7) Allen next shot pouch from Amazon zip tied to the buttstock to hold mags
8) mount optic and bore sight.
Feel free to ask any questions if I didn't mention anything.View attachment 549334View attachment 549339View attachment 549336View attachment 549340View attachment 549337View attachment 549338View attachment 549341View attachment 549342View attachment 549345View attachment 549344View attachment 549346View attachment 549343
Tape shim on the folder hinge is simple genius. I'm taping my aea tomorrow and double checking that the fx has no slop. Thank you for this great idea that can lower noise.
