RAW Rapid  HM1000X FPS question

As I’m completely new to the PCP world I have no idea where to start as far as adjustments if even needed.

Can hammerspring be adjusted and no reg adjustments to make it a little less complicated on me?

This is the chassis with no shroud.

On my Garmin Xero c1 pro
I’m seeing pretty consistent 950ish fps with JTS dead center 29.63 pellets.
My apologies I had JSB on the original post.
250 bar on the gauge which is another question on whether these gauges are pretty close?
Not wanting to damage anything if I overfill.

40 yards its placing same hole numerous times.

Any help or advise is appreciated.
I've found that the gage on my HM reads 20 bar low compared to the gage on my tank which I think is closer to the actual pressure. So I fill the gun just a tad beyond the 250 bar reading.

What did you do airgun related today.

Enjoyed this barrel aged beauty while I browsed AGN and lamented the Sidewinder that I missed in the classified section. Oh yea, earlier this morning I finished the fixed QD fill port for my Uragan2 so that I don’t have to rely on probes for either of my AGT guns anymore.

Just going to stop ordering *stuff*

I solved so far my package problem by having a PO Box in a usps office.. up today no package lost in 3 years..
Im very close to doing this myself. Luckily with my small community the post at least from here is always on track. Its when it gets further down the line that issues occur. Just my experience. So anything of high value is always signature required and doesnt touch usps with a 100 foot pole, UPS is my go to generally. They once put a package on a doorstep across the street in a bad neighborhood years ago. Homeowner denied having it duh so 🤷🏻‍♂️. UPS gave me 900$ to cover their mistake.

The web as it relates to our hobby

I often complain about technology and the frustrations that it can cause but then again I'll also wonder how much more enjoyable it has made this particular hobby to me as well as some others.
One of my most cherished airgun acquisitions are my Webley spring-piston pistols, a Beeman Tempest San Rafael in .177 and a Webley Senior in. 22 caliber. When they were in production I was in no position to own them. With the development of technology the world became smaller and in some ways a little more forgiving. It may have taken quite some time but I am finally getting to shoot these excellent air pistols.
I thnk it is especially wonderful in this or any hobby . WE all have met and talked to so many people . IT doesn't mater where they live near or far , what would the chances be to meet anybody on this Forum under your normal daily habits ? I am lucky to be able to travel to the Air Gun Shows and i meet a lot of AGN members . I do wear an AGN T shirt with beerthief on it , otherwise WE would just walk by looking at the tables we would never know who was there .
EDIT: if you see me stop and say Hello

I had 35 years ago a Webley tempest in 177 and then a Beeman P1 in 177 and a barrel kit for it in 22, I never did use the 22 kit..
the tempest was a very nice gun in a holster but because of the way it cocks it was not as accurate as the P1.. used to shoot 10 yards empty 22 brass off the fence rail freehand with the P1..
also at the time I had a rws Diana 34 in 177& 48.. in 22.. they were both good guns as well..
I'm looking forward to a friend who is getting a HW 45 in 177 since it is the same as the P1.. so looking forward to seeing it again and shooting a few rounds.

Events  Southwest Airgunners Duncan FT and silhouette matches in Duncan, AZ on 03/29/25 and 05/03/25

Cole is correct! Many of us bring multiple rifles and some camp for 4-5 days. I am undecided if I can make this shoot, but if I do, I always have 5 or 6 rifles along to plink a BUNCH! Everyone is always willing to share or loan! Watching is indeed fun but not nearly as much fun as shooing the match! You cant beat the caliber of people that put on the event and there is such beautiful country all over near Duncan and up the trail thru Morenci. The mine in Morenci is alone worth the trip to drive by. Beautiful drive up over the mountains to the Mule Creek area in NM too!
Thx
Dan

Skout  Why I Changed my Epoch Barrel.

I too have gone round and round with Skout over the barrels, if you push test any one of the three most pellets will just fall right through, and yes the inside does look like the surface of the moon. Been looking to machine a barrel to fit as I think the rest of the gun has tremendous promise, however the ECR or MOA barrels appear to be unavailable to us previous (and should say original gamblers) on the Skout experience. I took bore scope pics and sent to them, and while accomodating they never admit the problem is the barrels and even their factory shooters are using outsourced barrels, from what I UNDERSTAND even fitted with FX barrels. Having shot it at Pyramid and other events I have come to the conclusion that I cannot waste anymore time one the gun as most I know are EBR with Red Panda or FX. Any one interested in buying let me know.

Skout  Why I Changed my Epoch Barrel.

Having talked to Skout about the barrels I was told that they are an alloy (not aluminium) but not given the makeup and that they are impregnated with Teflon and have a coating but nothing more given, and I suspect not even known, I strongly suspect third party made.
"Alloy" is a broad term, I would like it to be stainless steel but I doubt it. I think it's an aluminum alloy and that can be seen in some photos and videos, and if they don't want to say what metal it's made of, then you can find out what it's made of by weighing and calculating the volume of the barrel.

Nothing wrong with wanting to tune the rifle you have. If you haven’t already , search tuning a regulated rifle and enjoy the read. There are a few ways to go about it but as long as you remember you want a small drop in the velocity from your max regulator setting. Let’s say 5% . This will conserve the most air per shot and balance out the hammer and regulator.

-Max out hammer spring, shoot over chrony
-Reduce hammer spring until you see a slight drop in speed, if speed decreases with little hammer adjustment , your regulator is set higher than your hammer can open it.
-if your speed is too low from the regulator setting increase set point. ( I don’t think you have that problem)
The RAW HM1000x is a simple rifle to work on as long as you’re not going too far into it for power and internal mods. Enjoy the new rifle.
Thanks for the explanation.
I appreciate all the help I can get as far as learning this rifle and it’s capabilities.
I’ll probably run some pellets of various weights and brands and learn what it likes.
Then start the tuning.
Really have enjoyed it so far!

HW/Weihrauch  HW30 walnut

I thinkI have read anywhere from 3 weeks to a couple of months to really cure. I have been apply some coats about every two to three days now and it does not seem to be soaking in as fast. When I got the gun the stock looked rather gray, now it's been developing some more amber tones. Today I took some beeswax pellets and while the stock was still somewhat wet started rubbing it with a few of the pellets in the palm of my hand and worked the wax into the surface.

This is my first rodeo with walnut oil and all I can say is that it will be a deep finish as it has been penetrating the wood very well, There are some areas on this stock which are very porous so I think this might be a good thing.
Could you show us some pictures please. My stock is as said in previous post very gray and almost looks like cardboard.

N/A  SE Wisconsin PCP

I am resurrecting this post from the grave as it's specifically talking about where I live. Do any of you SE Wisconsin folks know of any permissions that need hunting? I have mostly shot out of my back yard which has been great. Lots of game. However I really do want to stretch the legs of my two guns, my 800mm Saber Tactical'd out M3 in .357 shooting 93 gr NSA, Has a Pard Multispectral optic on top, Lots of great tripods, I've got a 700mm FX DRS classic as well kitted out for slugs with an extra large Yokazuna mod and an ATN Xsight 5 on there. I would love to get some further shots out past 45 Yards which seems to be my max. Even the outdoor rifle ranges, They seem to be geared toward generational shooters. Not newbies. So any tips would be great, would love to team up with anyone as well.
You don't say where you are in Wisconsin. If you are in farm country you could go door to door and ask permission.
If you want competition, Trenier has a 100 yard range at his place where he holds benchrest competition. That will test your rifles.
Also there is BAGA down in Bristol, WI. They have a facebook page, web page is not current. I had closed my facebook page during COVID but had to activate it again when I joined BAGA. They do Field Target shooting from May-October outdoors and IFP target shooting indoors during the winter. Great group of people, very knowledgeable and friendly.

What I needed to hear!
I’m guilty of wanting to tinker and tweak stuff too much!

Leave well enough alone!

Tuxing Twin All varieties

Excellent forgot about that, yea I have the cheapest one without the filters etc. I thought you were just running the blue filter! I was impressed by the 119⁰f temperature though. I'm happy with mine so far. Zero issues

Umarex  Zelos pics ..

Ya, I'll try them. I have the .217 sampler pack but wasn't able to get to testing them today. Need to order the .218 pack.
Yeah that's what I had on hand at the time as well as apolo slugs and something else. The 28.5gr beat everything else. Hitting an upright coca cola can at 174yds 8 times in a row is a true testament in my eyes, specially at about 810fps
