How to Use a Corbin S Press - A Thread Geared Toward Beginners

Yes I am using the Corbin X punch in .218 slugs. I can do them in standard hollow point as well as the hollow ogive HP both are very effective! Ill atatch some photos. Wogie_man and I were shooting last fall and he brought a block of clay he bought at wallmart. He shot the clay with the X punch slug from his HM1000 I believe at 50 yards from prone postion so slightly up angle so it blew the top out of the clay. I think it was just over 900fps.

Can you provide a link to the regulator yall are using?
So all I have to do is set the regulator pressure for the rifle inline with the tank?
Sorry if I’m over simplifying, this is my first venture in this direction, normally I fill straight off the tank or worst case of my compressor

The reg will have both an in & out manometer. Hook everything up, open your tank valve and adjust your regulator (out) pressure to the BAR setting you desire. Super easy....

What springer did you shoot today?

Went out to shoot . Just could not put my stuff on the shooting table any more ( a piece of plywood UNFINISHED ) the top was peeling and cracking curling up . YUCK ! I got another piece and cut it to shape then router the edges and sanded the top , started to rain so i took it inside . This time i will Spar Varnish all sides 3 coats , That is what i did to the row boat seats 10 years ago , they still look good .
I was going to shoot the HW77 long .22 guess it will be IZH 46 in the basement .

N/A  How accurate is a TX200.

About 1500 pellets ago I put a new spring in my TX. It took about a half tin of pellets to get to near normal accuracy. I have had the feeling since its just not where it usually has been. 2 best pellets are AA 8.4 in .452 and JBS 8.44 also in .452. I decided to compare the pellets with five groups of each with 5 pellets per group. First thing I found out is probably why I think I lost a small amount of accuracy. Average velocity is 869 with both. I have decided to leave it there as we are going to have 50 yard matches this summer. I will shoot the LGU indoors at 760. Ok the aggregate 5 x5 groups measured center to center at 20 meters...JSB .209.....AA .278. The JSB 8.44, .452 appears to be the choice for all my springers. Works for me. In the 2 fifty yards matches I shot and won last years I chose the AA 10.1 for the added weight as it is close to the other two at 20 meters. I felt it would help fight the wind and that seemed to work out.

Here we are tuning a .72 cal Zeus. A high quality regulator, a couple of large air talks and my spreadsheet are all you that’s needed to start making one ragged hole. Note: The larger the caliber the more air you consume.

The final 3d printed Technical stock for my Altaros M24???

I have been playing around with different 3d printed designs for a technical stock for my Altaros M24. I only shoot benchrest at 200 yards.

I also 3d printed the co-axial front rest that works great! Now I have to only decide on the right filament for the actual stock. ASA, PETG, ABS or some type of carbon or nylon engineering filament?

Needless to say, I love my Bambu X1c printer and have no problem printing different prototypes. My new printer, Anycubic Kobra 3 max will print the stock in 2 pieces instead of 3 pieces on the X1c as it will have a 500mm z height instead of the X1c of 256mm.

There are four 1/4 stainless steel metal rods built into the stock to make the stock strong and sturdy.

Enjoy

I can vouch for PETGCF, high temp stuff that uses tempered nozzles, but would highly advise annealing in an oven. I wouldn't push for it unless annealed, as I find the layers don't bind well alone and I can peel them apart after some time. A fracture becomes an accordion if not annealed, particularly at overhangs. Overall, tho, the CFPETG has the best feel and a well made 3D is closest to a machined part. That's my opinion but I do have experience. If you're getting stellar prints, up your game w petgcf.
