What made you decide on your big bore choice for hunting?

So I am asking, through all the reviews, write ups etc; What made you decide to go with the brand and model you picked specifically for hunting larger game?
I chose the AirForce Texan LSSCF in a .50 cal for multiple reasons. First being the accuracy, to get an ethical kill you need a rifle that puts the round in the same spot every time. Second is clearly knock down power… not the other way around. I also have a Zeus .72 cal and it’s Ridonculous! The Texan .50 will easily drop a 400+ pound pig, but the Zeus… yikes. btw; my Zeus is up for sale on this site, that’s my shameless plug for the day. lol

My recommendation for hunters who wish to go after large game is the Texan LSSCF in .457, rifle when properly tuned is insanely accurate, will drop just about anything this side of a very large bear. Equally important is the ammo selections available for the .457 is limitless. Mr. HP makes excellent hunting ammo, I like the .510 .485gr HP Macro that he makes, and more importantly… so does my rifle.

Important note; the Texan LSSCF is a larger rifle, mine has a custome wood stock that adds more weight, so at 14lbs 5oz it’s not exactly light. But this has never bothered me personally. I am 64 years young, 5’7”, and weigh 160… not a big guy. When hiking with the Texan I sometimes minimize how many extras are in my pack, to keep my overall weight at a reasonable number.

Tuxing and Vevor from same factory?

My understanding is that they are made in the same factory.
Monday, Wednesday, Friday they are Tuxing
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday = Vevor
However, the Quality Control team only works a random 3 days a week

just my 2 bits

My joke is from. 9am-5pm they're making the big companies stuff, from 5pm-9am they're pushing that ip out the back door to generic brands. 😁

What did you do airgun related today.

Back to tuning the Prod for the 50th time this year haha. Well more like experimenting with it. I took my lightweight hammer out and put the factory one back in. I’m getting better results with heavier oem hammer. Easier to cock and better trigger to.

First string after putting it back in. I should be able to tighten numbers up some. Was getting about 21-22 shots on reg at 18fpe w/ lw hammer. Now I’m easily hitting 26 shots on reg with a little higher fpe.

Tuxing and Vevor from same factory?

Even if they come from the same factory it doesn't mean they are identical. The factory is a specialization. Different brands may have different cost or quality requirements. As an example I'm quoting machine repair parts for a medical customer that is very cost conscious and doesnt want me to debur the parts the way we normally do. Based on the parts on their machine the manufacturer skipped some of the "craftsmanship" that we normally produce and they want to maintain the same cost savings on repair parts. We give all the customers exactly what they are willing to pay for.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Edgun Leyla 2.0 .25 (Huma regulated)

Reluctantly, my Leyla 2.0 is up for grabs. The ONLY reason it’s leaving is due to me needing 177 and 22 for the abatement work that I do., .25 is just too much in the warehouses where I conduct my work. Rifle is equipped with a Huma reg and upgraded precision bearings.

It just came back a couple weeks ago from @zx10wall and was resealed and tuned at 865 with the JSB 25.39. She’s a laser with the 25gr , but will also shoot the JSB 34’s and the h&N 30.86 amazingly well. The rifle is a tool that makes money for me, therefore I’ve taken excellent care of it when In the field.

I’ll offer it in several configurations, but won’t move the extras until the rifle itself has been sold. I accept PP F&F or money order/certified bank check for those of you who don’t do PayPal. If choosing the latter, I’ll ship after everything clears. Rifle will be shipped UPS ONLY with tracking. Like always, everyone is more than welcome to give me a call to ask all the questions you want. Added a video I took literally 10 minutes ago at 50 yards. I was out of 25’s and this was the 34gr jsb’s.

#1 - Rifle and four mags $1350

#2 - Rifle, 4 mags and BAT moderator $1475

#3 - Rifle , 4 mags, Bat moderator and Zulus 5x20 (non LRF) $1775

What made you decide on your big bore choice for hunting?

I have had a wonderful time with my air rifle, around 50 or so hog and plenty of top 3 finishes in local tournaments. However, I would like to change from my powder burners this year to air for deer season, however, I just do not feel confident taking a buck with a .30 cal regardless of grain.

So I am asking, through all the reviews, write ups etc; What made you decide to go with the brand and model you picked specifically for hunting larger game?

Talon Tunes and Tony

I have been buying Airguns and parts and accessories from Tony for years and I have always had a good experience. The last few times I had Tony personally call me to see what tune I wanted on my Airguns and made sure I was fully happy. That was a nice surprise and I enjoyed the extra mile. Thank you.

AirMarksman Impact M4 "Copper" Backbone - An Honest Review - It's Disappointing - UPDATE 11/15/24

Ooff. That is terrible. Copper is the worst finish to choose. I have seen it cause so many problems in anno. As a business, what is the thought process while boxing that up? Let’s hope for the best? I am not losing money? Maybe the customer will be color blind?

Looking down that brand new barrel

My G2 didn't shoot tiny groups.
My G2's rifling defect was in the transfer from the chamber to the rifling, or no chamfer. So the rifling peels lead fragments that foul the barrel, and make the bolt hard to close. I sent it for warranty and they said that it was in spec. So replaced it with an FX Crown.

What is the process to accept payment on classified?

Insure it to the full amount. Shipping prices are pretty nuts at times but might save you incase its "lost". I am probably selling my setup soon to get a larger bore, With powder / airguns unless im buying from a major online supplier I deal with people in person only.

RTI  Mora Regulator Adjustment

The real reason why it is NEVER advisable to adjust a regulator on any gun while there is pressure on the regulator is because it causes scoring on the two sealing surfaces due to the high differential pressure being applied. You can be occasionally lucky and not cause a leak, but the correct answer is to never adjust any regulator when there is pressure on it.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Edgun Matador R5 .30 w/scope for sale

The Edgun Matador is NOT available in .30 cal., only 177, 22 and .25. Unless you have one of only 407 .30 cals made as a special edition. This Special Edition Matador is in near perfect condition. It also has the digital EDMU guage & is topped with a March-F 1-8X24 scope with FMC-2 reticle, 12 round pellet dispenser, Atlas bipod & fabric carrying bag.

This from the previous owner:

“This is a sweet gun with a Huma reg and a Power Plenum installed. It does MOA groups at 100 yards with NSA 49.5 gr slugs or FX 44.6 gr pellets. It also shoots JSB 44gr awesome. Needless to say, it does pellet on pellet groups at 35 and 50 yards. You won't ever miss a nickle size target at 75 yards either. Awesome gun and only 407 made. 100% perfect working order. It looks great too...no scratches or marks that I saw.

7.5 pounds - 32 inches long - 23 in barrel - 300 bar fill - 950 FPS with 49.5 gr slugs and 950 FPS with 46.3 gr FX pellets at current tune. 50 shots + per fill”

I have not shot slugs with it but I can attest to it’s accuracy with JSB 44.75gr pellets….it’s a very accurate “hammer”.

The March name speaks for itself itself and it’s the perfect scope to compliment this awesome gun (the lit reticle in the scope does not work).

Asking $2300 for the package. Paypal plus 3.5% and I will ship it free your door.
