FX  FX Impact mk4 V Beeman commander

just for fun I just bought a cheep Beeman Commander .22 cost around $240 It has a surprisingly nice stock I shot It for the first time today , using AEA 18g pellets at 900 fps out to 65 yards and got this group , then I shot my Impact same pellets same distance So I sat there for a minute and thought wow that group Is as good as my MK4 Impact that cost ( with extras ) around 3K . I don't hunt, I bench rest most of the time , so I'm thinking why am I spending all this money on high end guns when a gun at a fraction of the cost shoots just as well . yes the Beeman Is not a refined as the Impact but It's the end result that counts right ?

Dial it up and shoot slugs at 100 yards plus and see if you feel better about your impact.

My NEW GMI SWAG PRESS

HI aroundlocks , dont be jelious get one for your self , they are the best , I just got a new die a few days ago for the ,357 caliber , what a great tooling just look at these slugs , I swear every new die I get is better then the one before , I thought all were perfect , one thing to note is I swaged some 357 slugs to try in the new fx king but I only got to shoot a few slugs the gun it self sprung a leak at the valve pin so I got one coming soon and then I can post some results in mean time look at these slugs and the tooling , look closely at tooling , amazing how polished and flawless it is , To my amazement I thought the ,357 would be hard to swag in the press , however I dont know how these guys designed this but it is not any harder then swaging ,22 caliber for me , it must be the way they designed it , I know when I had a corbin press a decade ago it was much harder to go up in calibers meaning the pressure required , this press is the best I have seen and I have tried many different types , LOU

What are y'all doing this weekend thats Airgun related?

I figured it out. Added a U adapter and 20CM long 125CC tube.
The 40CM 250 CC tube runs along the body of the gun with the top hat in the middle. Extension, U adapter and joints add about 50CC.

Now i just have to drive 500 miles to test it...

I'd been looking for as stock with the reverse bottle for a friend who had an airforce... I just don't want to make most of the parts for him. Your pics help a ton.

Tuxing double cylinder compressor - air leaking into crankcase

You guys were right, oil level was a bit high but not by much.
When I poured new oil in few months back it was really cold so it was settling slower than I thought. I'm always careful about this things but obviously got it wrong this time.
But, this was a new oil after rebuild with maybe 10 minutes of work time and colour is worse than the old oil which I've changed after 2.5 hours of work time.

I'm using Bauer diving compressor oil so oil itself is not an issue.

Everything is still the same even after lowering the oil level. It still blows blue smoke out of the breather.
Mind you, there's not a lot of smoke and it's visible only when I point a flash light at it, under normal workshop lighting it's not visible so I may have this problem for longer than I think I do.
I have topped up my 6.8L bottle two times this week from 260-270 bar up to 300 bar without any issues.
But, there is evidently a problem and potential bigger malfunction waiting to happen.

In any case, after two cylinder rebuilds, there's no point in rebuilding them for the third time. I'll buy both new cylinders with all the parts and change them completely.

Only question is when, my spring vacation is over, little free time that I have on my hands I spend rebuilding my lathe which won't be finished any time soon.
When you do a full rebuild. If you don’t have the new style head. Buy the correct cylinder and piston for the Yong heng style hi pressure head sold by tuxing. 80 and new reed, and reed plate for low pressure, ~$10, new check seal for aluminum block$10. New piston rings for low pressure side piston $5. And you have a new pump. But normally you have to only change low pressure side piston read valve, and reed plate. $10 for 10 hi pressure side piston rings, and and new seal for check, and it’s good to go

FX  FX Maverick Compact .22 Owners

Reaching out to all of you that own a Maverick Compact in .22. I have tuned my rifle to the best I think I can get it and am currently shooting JSB 18.1 grains at 890 fps with a 2.3 standard deviation. With the 300 cc bottle, I am getting 95 shots. Regulator is set to 90 ft*lbs and hammer is at 6. Is anyone out there getting more shots with the same speed? If so, how do you have your gun set. Matt Dauber supposedly got over 130 shots with his set up on one of the first videos he did with this gun. Just wondering if I can get it to do any better. Thanks in advance.

FX  FX Wildcat BT Leak

Front regulator was the problem. UA sent me a replacement kit and after swapping it out, all is well. That internal o-ring was pretty difficult to get out. Ended up breaking one of the brass picks I bought but manages to get it out with the second one. One thing I noticed is the original regulator piston wasn’t brass like the new one is.

Advice sought on an entry level 10M air pistol

I have two Daisy 747s that I used to shoot 10 meter. I would like to sell both as I don't use them anymore. Both are very accurate. I think I have to wait till I can think up 10 posts or something like that before I can sell on this site. Any clue on what they would be worth as a fair asking price? I can't remember what I paid for them. I am hooked on PCP rifles now and would like to put the $s into another rifle. Here is a couple pics.

Regulate a Texan

I've been playing with plenums for a few months now and a friend with a .510 Texan asked if it is possible to regulate with a large plenum.

I did the math and a .510 with a 34 inch barrel has a volume of 114cc. Optimal plenum would be 3x or 4x barrel volume.
350-450cc would be a good starting point.

Turns out the best I have available is a 40cmx28mm tube which is about 250cc.
I built it up and tested it on a .25 Condor with a 24 inch barrel, high flow valve and heavy hammer. It was impressive. Regulator set to 1500psi and I was getting almost 900FPS with Barracuda 30.86gr pellets.

Don't know when I'll get to try it on the Texan (500 miles away) but if I change out the regulator to a Huben Max-ATH it will add 50cc to 300cc it should work pretty well.

Was able to run the 40CM tube along the body of the Condor. It is possible to add more tubes either in parallel or a 20CM tube in series. Parallel would add another Tee to the arrangement.

All done with COTS parts except two custom M18 male to male adapters.
Shan Bao 40CM tube with M18 adapters
M18 F-F-F Tee
M18 M-F Elbow
M18 plug
2 custom M18 M-M adapters
Regulator of choice
Bottle - 1.1L Acecare Fat

The fun part getting it clocked and tight.
Various thickness PTFE 16mm washers, 1mm, 2mm and 3mm
16mm bonded washers.

Whole thing weighs right at 5lbs.

Big issue right now, the 40CM tube is unavailable on AliExpress due to tariff fun and games. Hopefully it will be back during the current hiatus.

Went a different route
Added a u adapter and a 20CM tube.
All totaled about 400-425CC of plenum.
Tophat in the middle
40CM off the tee along the body
20CM off the tee to the regulator and U.

What are y'all doing this weekend thats Airgun related?

See if i can add more volume to a 300CC plenum set up. Trying to get enough volume a friend can regulate a .510 Texan.
Need 350-450CC minimum
.510 barrel volume is 114 CC
(3 x 114) = 342cc
4 is probably better
