AEA will not semi!

I am currently having issues with my new AEA HP SS .25, and the gun does not semi. To fire the weapon, I have to set the bolt continuously; on top of this, the Mag does not feed the rounds. Has anybody else had this issue? I hope it is a human error because I don't want to part ways and wait, even though the pellet shop sent it in one day.

( It is not the pellet shop's fault the retailer sells them, so I'm not upset with them. )

Update, I spoke with the staff at The Pellet Shop, and they walked me through the troubleshooting. It was the magazine, and I also had to find that perfect PSI. with today's achievement, I would like to say big thanks to yall for helping me.
Why Not Give A MANUAL with everything you sell

Apolo pellets, what's the story?

Not sure about their makeup. I’ve tried the air boss .30 in several guns and they have been utter garbage in everything. I mean garbage. I bought several tins of 33 gr in .25. Had good luck at first in a 600 mm fx liner (impact m3). Then they just stopped shooting well. Don’t know if subsequent tins were a different batch or something but they didn’t work. They don’t shoot in my delta wolf or other 600 mm fx liner in my wildcat either. I have written the brand off 100%

Thoughts on PCP at higher altitudes

Air is not air as the Density changes and temperature changes with elevation. Do to the steel tank the pressure change won't effect it but the temp change will. I fill my gun in my garage at 62 and 20 minutes later out in the snow I'll have lost 150 psi from the charge being cooled down. Can't say about the shot staying flat as I don't shoot down with the flatlanders.
On a side note, tire pressures drop 2-3 psi and my damn turbos make 3 psi less. On a good note, snow dampens sound and the cold slows it down so I can't hear my wife yelling at me as much. lol. 6,500' el.

2 cylinder tuxing 4500 psi compressor PRV

What makes you qualify to write such a book? Do you think they make their own prvs? Do you think they make their own pipe and fittings also? Why does the gauge go up to 6000 psi?

Fyi: I was able to get another turn and a half with more to spare out of my prv and crank my pressure up to 5100 PSI with no problems.

Fyi2: ... and speaking from experience, anything with a pressure rating has to be tested to at least one and a half times it's intended max pressure. We usually do two or three times the intended pressure just for us before we call an inspector to do it at one and a half times.
Ssgmac, a couple nights ago I was filling my 9 liter with my Gxcs4i that has the Tuxing twin gold filters . I was letting it go to about 4700 psi but the pressure relief valve opened at just over 4500psi. So I was looking all over Aliexpress and googling to find a higher rated valve. Didn’t find anything so I ordered a 5 and 6k burst disc. Anyway tonight tried with the Tuxing 042 twin which also has the gold twin filters and ran it up to 4900 psi on a 6.8 and the 9 liter with no problem. Then I saw this post.
So I can adjust these ? Pic to concur we’re talking about the same thing. If so, how ?

.25 JSB 33.95 MK II fps preference?

Yeah, I keep reading that too, and have bought them in .22 and .30 caliber, and my guns still shoot better with JSB. Unfortunately, I was so convinced that they were obviously better, by everyone, that I bought a lot on blind faith. Don't do that, until you try them.
Definitely good advice. They may not be the best for every individual gun out there. My daystate shoots the jts a little better. My fx shoots the jts and jsb heavies pretty much equal. I like the jts as they just look more uniform and better made.

OP’s question. Like stated earlier it is best to test at various speeds from say 850-950 to find the ultimate best for your barrel. I have never done that. I have always run them right around 900 and they are well beyond accurate enough for my needs and abilities.

FX  FX Maverick Compact .30 Cal - First shots review

Just like to add that if you do change calibers you will need a lighter hammer weight as well. They can be sourced cheap on eBay. Great gun and platform for sure. Like someone else mentioned, regularly check to make sure the two small screws that secure the silver cocking rod in place are snug. If the rod slips at all the probe will come out of alignment and you will get very erratic speeds. Those screws are a weakness of the platform. Just be careful when wrenching on them as they can be easy to strip.

FX  Help Fx m4

If you search the topic you will find a couple very long threads on the subject. Supposedly FX is working or has worked out a fix for the issue. However I haven’t heard of them offering any parts yet. There is someone on eBay selling plenum orings made from a different material that are supposed to help. Here is the link to them.

Umarex FishR and a Moderator?

So I have a creek in the backyard that is overrun by carp and I’ve been bow fishing it for a few years now on the paddle board, but now I think it’s time to really wear them out. I’m curious if anyone has used a moderator on a FishR or if it’s even possible. Trying to keep the neighbors from complaining too much.

Huben  The GK1 has ruined me...

Well, I went with the walnut. It distracts me from the hump.😉

I've owned a lot of PCP's since my first one in 1989, (Sportsmatch G2).
And this gun performs at the top of my AG experience. Super reliable, powerful, and giggly accurate. And like others said, very comfortable to shoulder.
Oh, the walnut version is lighter too!
Have fun.

Beautiful. Just shot a small tin of Aea 25.4 to relax. Love this gun.

Airgun Technologies  AGT Vixen or BRK Ranger/Atomic XR?

I have Ranger xr.
It is very accuratte for the length of barrel.
At 30 yds zero one ragged hole with .22 Hades.
One complaint.It is very loud.
I backed out hammer spring to about 17 fpe and have to use large moderator to hush it down, that defeats the purpose of compact airgun. With Tatsu it was still loud.
Also shoot count in mine is lower then advertised (22).

Taipan  Taipan Mutant Short .22

I need to find some mag holders for the Mutant. I love mine for my Vet so I have everything right there whenever I need it. Also debating if I add a Pic rail to it or not. For what this gun is I doubt I'll ever be shooting it off a tripod likely out the truck or off hand. I'll likely just leave it be. Anyways tomorrow I should have some time to test it in the morning.

Knowing the properties of your ammo

On it's face perhaps, The back story to this is originally years ago, I had a piece of rubber paver behind that notch when I picked off a few tree rats. None ever exited the body cavity. Now, the setting was at about 20 FPE with a large 25 cal polymag. Which would penetrate less then an equal powered 22 cal. I've made that shot at a still target, because it's busy eating peanuts, they give you a perfect chip shot. Fact is distance is real short, and polys never exit a squirrel at my listed power. Now, I'd NEVER try it with a bird! they are through and through. I totally respect the target and whats behind rule. This is an area where I can't eff up. But I am aware what I can get away with- regarding specific ammo and power.
just going to say.. you might be a perfect shot all the time.. but what if something happens.. the best of us can miss.. but I suppose if you are ok and your neighbor is ok with dealing with the miss.. then all is well.. assuming that no one is hurt.

Let's see those 2240 builds!

I have resisted so far. Sank too much money into a 1377 some years back. It worked well, but I still had to pump it. Got a 2240xl in december, so it already had the steel breech. Did the trigger spring mod and it is shooting nice, but wasting a bit of CO2. Going to try and limit myself to just a new hammer spring. It is slippery, try not to fall in the hole...
You could just cut a few coils off of the existing spring. Will drop like 20fps but increases shot count.

AEA/JTS Pellets and Fouling

The Tin reference was read on these forums, so not sure the original source. The Tin content was reported to be from JTS. There is another forum where one person was going to test the content, but I have not seen any follow-up post yet.

I am using mostly choked Lothar Walther polygonal barrels at the moment (mostly in my Ghost in 22/25/30). However, I also have fouling with my FX smooth twist barrels as well - I just have not shot them recently to test the effects. I have seen fouling on the SubMOA, but that is another beast with it's own issues.
I'm curious, you mentioned Walther polygonal.. are they different than the lothar Walther barrel like airforce Condor uses?
myself I normally clean the barrel with another shot 😂🤣 unless it is causing cycle issues in one of my semi auto guns..then since I have the stuff out, I run each barrel..
