BRK Ghost with slug barrel.

I have had my current .22 cal. Ghost HP for almost a year now and it has been awesome. I have had several PCP's over the years by far the Ghost has been my favorite. I was really glad to hear BRK came out with a slug barrel for the Ghost and ordered a complete gun just to shoot slugs (hopefully) out of it. I would not think of parting with my first Ghost. I have the short Saber Tactical ARCA rail, and my BOG Sherpa tripod fits it perfectly. I actually made my farthest shot with it this morning on a pigeon at a lasered 102yds. on a very tall silo. I saw my first shot went a little high, but my second shot hit him in the chest and down he came.
Here is a 3 shot group I shot with it last Sept. (If I can get it to post that is)

View attachment 558655
Both are nice groups! I have shot some nice, tight groups with the .25-cal barrel. I also have a Sniper XR HP that AOA did the power tune on, and it shoots really well! just waiting for a SUB-MOA barrel to come out in .25-Cal.

Tariffs Explained - Pyramyd AIR Insyder

That's why Scott Bessent and many others are calling for a "Bretton Woods 2.0".

The tarrifs are a step toward a level playing field in a multipolar economic order. It sets the planned chain of events in motion that leads to a new world reserve currency, which will be backed by gold and other hard assets but use distributed ledger tech, probably XRP ledger or something very similar for atomic & instant cross-border settlement. Therefore this new convertible currency becomes the new world reserve currency, or like a new type of SDR, and USD JPY CNY EUR and so on are essentially all on equal footing.

This is why the currency manipulation and tactics some countries are using has to stop before this goes live. But, assuredly, even nations that appear to be hostile are all playing out the script which leads to what has already been agreed upon.

The other part is a domestic reordering, such as using tariffs to replace the IRS (I believe no taxes for those making under $200k / year is the latest proposal to be floated publicly).

Good time to think like an investor and not be reactionary. We're about to enter a full blown tech revolution.

I happily received my beautiful brass made-in-USA hose nozzle today. Enough with the Chinese Wal-Mart crap, already. This nozzle will last a lifetime, guaranteed.
Having the dollar as a reserve currency has gutted our manufacturing base, but shifting away from it will be devastating. We've basically had access to endless amounts of cheap debt and the ability to expand our money supply recklessly for decades now.

For those of you who haven't given it much thought, (speaking to the general audience), the US dollar is what's called a reserve currency. It's basically what the entire world wants to trade in. When Saudi Arabia sells oil or Brazil sells soybeans they don't want to get paid in Rupees or Pesos, they want dollars and when investors around the world want a safe and stable investment, they want US treasuries. Because the dollar is in demand, it's value gets pushed up much higher than it otherwise would be and that makes our wages here in the US much higher compared to other countries around the world, and that incentivizes industry to manufacture products abroad where labor is cheaper.

On the other hand, since everybody wants US treasuries, we get a great interest rate when we finance our national debt. Other countries would have to pay much more interest to do the same thing and would find their economies in crises. We can also print more money than we should be able to. If Japan prints money, they are just printing money for their population of 120 million and if they print too much inflation will go wild. When we do the same thing however we're not just printing money for the 340 million Americans. There is an entire world that wants US dollars, so we can print much more money than our population would warrant and not see nearly as much inflation as we otherwise would.

If the US dollar stops being the worlds reserve currency, then we can expect to see our interest rates go up significantly and the cost of financing our national debt will explode. At that point we'll be in the same kind of position that Greece was in about a decade ago.

Tariffs Explained - Pyramyd AIR Insyder

Just want everyone complaining about the rich and their profits to just consider that every single cool thing you have that makes your life better and easier is the result of some rich person or corporation. The incentive to make money and not have it some how limited is what drives this production and innovation. Heck I want the pockets of guys like Elon to grow to the point of exploding maybe 3 times over. The guy does amazing things. I want the profits of FEDEX to be through the roof as it puts food on the table and a roof over my family’s head. Grateful for what I have and the opportunity to be one of those greedy rich people is out there for everyone.
Kind of pointed it out for me personally but they also provide 1000’s of jobs that support the majority of people.

FX  Is polishing required? - New Brass FX impact regulator plunger

First time with a leak in my Impact MKII PP 720 so decided to replace the piston while it was apart rather than polish the old delrin one. Got one from cape fear and was expecting the part to be plug and play but doesnt appear to be.

I test fit it. once the face clears the oring it seems to drag (metal on metal) in the reg body. the plastic one is smooth on the barrel at the edge/face. this one is not..
plastic is 4.0mm at the tip brass is 4.02. measured with origincal digital caliper
The issue is noticeable on pictures. small dings on the edge

Not thinking its good to put it in without doing some sanding polishing but concerned about messing up overall diameter or damaging the delrin piece if i try to cleanup the face.

Also, not 100% sure what the sealing surfaces are and if the dings are important.. the barrel will seal on the oring in the reg body and the face will never touch it once installed.

Suggestions and experiences are appreciated.
thanks
Bob

Cs4 Power supply

You have a CS4 with an external power supply, correct. A friend has a CS4-i with a bad internal power supply. He bought this power converter from Amazon.

The power supply has been tested and it works.

JackHughs
+1

These power supplies are very common, often sold as LED power supplies. I have been using them for decades, as battery chargers, RV power converters, vehicle troubleshooting assistance, etc.

They are claimed to be self limiting in terms of current output (maximum amps), but also have a small glass fuse (Buss-type) soldered to the circuit board. When I set one up for use for other applications, I usually remove that fuse and solder in leads to a Mini fuse or ATC fuse holder that is located outside of the housing. I wouldn't bother for the compressor as the chance of fuse failure appears to be highly unlikely, IME.

These power supplies also have a small potentiometer, usually to the left of the terminal strip. I will try to make time to pull the plastic protector from one of my GX power supplies if someone is interested. The potentiometer is for adjusting the output voltage which can often be adjusted between low 13 volts and just under 15 volts DC.

The little yellow potentiometer adjustment is seen to the immediate left of the terminal strip.

Given that these compressors routinely operate from running motor vehicles, which typically output nearly 15 VDC, an over voltage adjustment of one of these power supplies seems unlikely. On the other hand, DC motors tend not to like low voltage so, like the common protensity of amateurs to want to operate engines at too low temperature, I don't recommend turning down the voltage.

The second photo is, of course, a GX power supply.

The third photo shows the internal circuit board of a generic power supply of this type. The finger points to the glass fuse. The voltage adjustment potentiometer is to the right of the terminal strip and can only be seen as a reflection on the case. The 120/240 VAC switch is center top.

HW/Weihrauch  Who shoots 22 Weihrauchs at 50 yards or more?

Maybe i will try my HW77 long .22 today , my .22 springer . Also a Webley tap load .22
Well if you want, run four or five shot groups and I’ll make an aggregate group in SubMOA for it. I’m curious how someone else’s .22 HW does.

Over 20 shots, mine is putting down 3.75 moa at 22 yards with its favorite pellets. Granted, it’s been really windy here.

I’m considering selling my long .22 for a k .20

Temecula Field Target Report 2025 04 27

Big sky day in Temecula with seven shooters. Started with light drizzle for 15 minutes then cleared out for some fantastic views while shooting. Eleven lanes with 27 targets went smoothly. Temecula signature winds came in gusts and changing directions making the challenge even better. Big welcome to new shooter Nick Oldin.

BRK Ghost with slug barrel.

Yes, the short-skirt ones shoot well ( JSB Exact Monster .22 Redesigned SHALLOW Skirt). My reg is at 160 (factory setting on mine), and the power wheel is on 5. I'm shooting 864 FPS with 42.2 FT-LB. Next week, I will start shooting the "ZAN Projectiles." AOA suggests I start with .217 25.5 gr Hollow Point slugs. I will let you know how that goes. Also, I am going to use the barrel tensioner kit and see how that goes., I have the barrel clamp already, I might shoot it a few more times without the tensioner kit.

You are going to love shooting the Ghost. It is such a nice gun and very smooth! Did you get the extended ARCA rail? If not, I suggest you get that.

N/A  Please, some guidance for very accurate/target air rifle + associated hardware. Finances are a concern.

I spent the weekend with my cx3 and Marauder .22. I am confident with the gun to 50 yards for pests. I missed two reds Saturday @70y due to poor hold over. Takes a long time to get to the target shooting Hades @910fps. Very accurate. Boring under 40 yards.

I bought the Maruder from Airgun Revisions, a Walther barreled 22 for $300. It’s a factory referb which means AR goes through it and makes it right. I would rather buy one knowing AR went through it than a new gun in box.

The cz3 is a $300ish 3000psi compressor. The Mrod gets pumped to 2700. Make sure you match the air source capacity to the gun. There are a lot of higher pressure guns today.

Other  Falke 80/90 sight substitute

Falke 80 and 90 sights are difficult to find, the dovetail being very narrow. Here's an early Redfield peep sight that works, very well machined in steel, similar in quality to the Falke originals, and maybe the sight Williams copied in aluminum for their FP series? This little guy will fit the Falke dovetail.

BRK Ghost with slug barrel.

If yo
Yes I also do gave FX pocket chronograph V2 To check a FPS. I see how you control first shot by using PW higher.
so you are saying that you bought a another ghost with slug barrel with it.($100 extra)
just curious, why not just buy slug barrel & swap? That’s what I’m going to do but slug barrel cost way too much($600+)
When you get a ghost with slug barrel, could you please update a result? I really want to know that slug barrel is worth it to buy with that price.

Thank you!
Hi if you have a competent machinists friend a 700mm CZ unchoke .. at Talon tunes is only $340 n almost 16mm thick

N/A  Please, some guidance for very accurate/target air rifle + associated hardware. Finances are a concern.

thank you all....you've afforded me a lot of great information. i can now better focus my research accordingly.
i do think that having to cock the platform might be difficult for me so i'll focus on compressors as well.

sounds like i'll have to limit my search to accommodate 50 yards....that would be fine as well.
You have several good gun candidates listed as for compressors. A cx3 is an older model, hence it may be wallet friendly. I have the cx4 and love it, but that one is over $500. The cx 3 may be down at $300? You would have to look that up.

Skout  Skout EVO precision with slugs

Alrighty then, that problem is fixed!

I just happened to have two 3mm bolts left over from a project from last week, also the right drill size and tap.

The latch is made of steel so you need to use a hard drill bit. On the back of the latch is 6 holes partially drilled into it so I used the bottom two as my guides.
