What do you guys/gals think? ,your opinion wanted.

Hearing that a $2300 rifle wins for plinking is wild lol.

I agree though, the decisions made when there is money to be made is kinda crazy. But there are left handed kits for the M3 and the cocking lever is ambidextrous.

Maybe it wasn't worth the effort for them to do it on different platforms?
The BRK is perfect for my plinking needs. Plus the option to upgrade calibers / barrels in the future was a major factor.

Daystate has been selling bespoke left handed rifles before I started shooting. They always work. Never any surprises.

I do not want to purchase a rifle and then need to purchase a kit to make it left handed. I would probably mess it up and then madness.

AGT, RTI, Taipan and a few others make excellent ambidextrous rifles if Daystate is not your brand. Hell, even Marauders have always been ambidextrous.

Vote with your wallet! Life is too short to shoot crappy airguns!

Kral Arms  Kral puncher breaker bullpup mk2 under powered

As this is a UK unit it most likely have a number of so called anti tamper devices installed.
These need to be removed to be able to adjust, for instance hammer spring pressure.

The PB as a platform though no doubt has much speaking for it. Simple n rugged in short terms.
On the earlier guns it´s rather common with broken loading levers as is it with poppet stems that looks like a d*mn Z after a No of firings.
That being said though...

I pulled the plug completely on one in 25cal and the thing just simply delivers. Granted, not all that much of the stocker remains but then again OTOH it kind of is a proof of concept if nothing else.
Since it sports a regulator set to approx 160 bar on a larger plenum.

As you can see even the stock is severely lightened. Reg pressure gauge has been added as has an auxillary tank on 350cc. Runs both hard n long due.
What i´m saying is that the potential is certainly there.

To get to the anti tamper, if applied, the innards needs to be let out of the stock. It´s held in there via one single allen bolt that rides in the cutout on the stock behind the trigger.
Remove and need be take a pic n post.
It is NOT illegal for you to remove the anti tamper to meet power requirements.

What did you do airgun related today.

The price of pellets seems to be rising so I ordered 10 tins of Meisterkugelns. These pellets have treated me well over the years <12 bucks a tin and free shipping off Amazon 😁shipping these days is outrageous. Even though I can buy 10 meter single bull targets for 5 bucks a 100 shipping essentially doubles the price. If I could have included them with the pellets it would have been nice but they didn’t have them where the pellets came from. Perhaps I’ll check with the local print shop and see if they can possibly print some cheaper. Not sure if they have the appropriate paper though

FX  FX Wildcat BT Leak

It’s simply an oring thing. Easy fix is completely subjective. On the surface yes just an oring change. I personally find them a royal PIA. There are videos on YouTube and like 5 or 6 orings to change. There is an oring in the bottom of the reg itself that is super hard to get back in to the right spot. There is one that is hidden pretty well down inside the gun body itself. In the threaded hole the reg unscrews out of. Super tricky as well. If you do it yourself absolutely get some non marring picks. Nylon or brass ones as to not scratch the oring sealing surface or you will have a permanent leak. The gun is also under warranty and can be sent to utah Airguns or cape fear Airguns if you are in the east coast. Unfortunately the same thing happened to my BT after a couple months. After struggling with the reg I sent it to cape fear.

Benchrest Stock for AA S400

AA's "tactical chassis' is a good option.

A BR plate on the forearm and any number of AR type stocks are available.

This too https://sureshot-airguns.co.uk/custom-stocks/
Thanks for the reply. I actually have that stock already....bought it several years ago when I was using this S400 for field target. It works great. I'm leaning more toward a traditional wood stock.

Aide for Caldwell Rock BR shooting rest

Making the stock more stable in the bags is a great help. Do it on the butt also.Turning a 10.5 lb bench rifle into a 17.0 gun required more weight than I could fit inside the butt. I added these rails to balance the rifle and it aided tracking tremendously. It did require having Protector making a rear bag to fit the rails.

Binocs & spotters...who use.?

I guess I never reported back. I was cruising through Motonet a couple months ago and on a whim busted a pair of Gamo 8 or 10x binos out of the box to check them out.

I looked up into the rafters all the way across the store, easily 50+ meters and I could see dots smaller than .177 pellets in the white paint. For 30 euros I took them home.

They work great for me at 50m. They do fall off near dusk but so does my diopter sight. There is a little chromatic aberration, but it’s not enough to really mess you up.

For the price, highly recommended if you can hold them steady enough to look through.
