Umarex  Maple Products cocking lever for Notos installed

I put the aluminum one on mine from Saneroner. It definitely upgraded the function.
This is the video I watched and followed. It's for the PP750 and the cocking lever is on the opposite side from the NOTOS but it's exactly the same.
The video is for the Maple lever.

Umarex  Maple Products cocking lever for Notos installed

Big Air Precision AKA @Tango Sierra makes 15 rd mags for the notos that are really nice
That new cocking handle made a big difference on my brother's notos. It requires a partial disassembly of the gun.In order to change the lever. There is a very good video on youtube describing the process which I needed to follow. I recommend it because the improvement was worth the time and expense.

Airforce  Airforce 22 Condor 17 inch LW Barrel 39 gr at 1050 fps

This has been debated over and over, but wanted to get your opinion on the powder coating. Benefit for air guns? I know folks talk about less lead dust, etc... but that makes zero difference to me. Great looking little pills there, by the way!
Powder coating is worth it for me in Airguns...Leading is my number one problem with accuracy and slugs..Im using normal cheap production grade barrels..IF i were using American made custom double lapped barrels , lapped after reaming the barrel, and again after rifleing....Like Krieger, Benchmark, Barliten, ect powder coating may not be nessary... Powder coating covers the lead like a copper jacket does but is only good to around 2200 to 2500 fps.. shake and bake is my method and i can coat and bake 1000,s of small slugs together and bake in oven 12 min 400 degrees and then straight otta oven into water quench..All the slugs seperate perfectly... A pound of powder coat does thousands of slugs.... I powder coat all my slugs for my .510 up to 650 grain spire point boat tail.. Another benefit is the shiny coating of powder coat when shot at night with IR light and night vision...Its looks like a tracer..THe IR light reflects off of shiny powder coating... Another huge thing for me is I smoke...I smoke when I shoot.. handling slugs..No lead dont have to wash my hands...

The range

Visiting my friend FRI & SAT my friend had again rearranged the range at our place, mainly taken the 30 M and moved it to 118 M
Also for the first time this year he mowed the field, even adding to the area that need to be mowed in the future, it take a while CUZ quite a few Sq M of area to do.

We could use your equipment for a day or so to in a major way make changes, not least hauling the 20 foot container to the back of the range, but also some earth berms we would want to move out of the way.

Me building the shot shed i made a mistake, really the whole thing should have been turned 15 - 25 degrees clockwise.

Due to extra compressor purchase, a few of the things planned for this year have to be postponed and / or altered.

HW/Weihrauch  Skirtless piston

97. You can, but the latch pin has to be round. That was my question!
Just to reiterate, you cannot go skirtless in a break barrel, unless you are going to incorporate a secondary sliding compression tube within, that has a clever seal and locks via the cocking shoe/ arm. I'm toying with the idea right now as it happens, but the increase in TP/ lost volume is undesirable.....

Other  Airgun for Squirrel?

Well after reading 90% of this recommendation, it’s UNLAWFUL in pretty much all states to discharge any projectile using any device that might hurt/ kill a living been in a neighborhood or public area. Now think about what happens if you missed your target, most likely you r going to be hitting something / someone else.
Think twice before you do anything foolish or the consequences will be worse than you think 🤔. Be safe
actually, it's not. In my neighborhood you can fire a firearm with a proper backstop and there are many iguana hunters all over the area in housing developments ETC.

HW/Weihrauch  Skirtless piston

You may read that it is possible to grind the HW sear to take a TX rod (like I did) but I wouldn't recommend it. Yes it will function for a while, but may end up looking like this-

The sear in the first pic is one of the ones a fella had made and correctly hardened over here (can't remember who now) and is still going strong to this day in my 77 was a K-

FX  M4 - best setup for bench?

This is gonna be long, but @dasenahk tagged me so I will bite and jump in here.

You're not wrong about some of the YouTube content out there. There are YouTubers that just want the free stuff to keep their channel relevant. With that said, there are some channels that CHOOSE to shoot and highlight FX Airguns because sponsored or not, it is what we choose to shoot competitively. I'll put my channel into that category.

I have access to and have shot most of the airguns you will see on the line during competition and have even turned down paid opportunities to shoot other brands. Not saying that won't change ever in the future because I am going to shoot the airgun that gives me the bet opportunity for a podium spot. For me, what you will see in my hands during competition is the airgun I have worked with the most and trust the most to put me into the finals and a shot at $20,000 at RMAC and big money at all the other competitions. That for me right now is the FX King (Dynamic) or the FX Impact M4 in .30 cal with a 700mm barrel system.

Yes... .30 cal has become GOD's caliber for airgun benchrest. The BC profiles we are getting with AEA and Zan pellets are crazy good and give us such an advantage with wind drift over any other pellet caliber while allowing the gun to not work so hard shooting such a heavy for caliber projectile (ie. high ballistic coefficient).

With that said, I would keep your eye on what Karma Airguns and Skout are doing. Lots of crazy advancement going on there and the Karma Red Panda barrel system is FIRE! My point is this... YouTubers or not, competition results don't lie and every single competition there are DayStates and RAW and FX and Karma and Skout all being represented and the finals list of competitors and their airguns don't lie.

I personally think an analysis of the statistical finals representation is a better metric vs. podiums. I know that sounds backwards, but podiums represent a SINGLE scoring card, but if you looked at all three cards from every major benchrest event, you will see consistency of what are the proven platforms to be considering. So take this from someone who has shot almost every airgun that you will see on the line at RMAC and the FX Impact M4 has a TON of reasons as to why you will see a TON of them on the shooting line come RMAC. Not to mention the insane advancement around pellet innovation right now in .30 cal from ZAN and AEA and if I was a betting man, JSB ain't gonna roll over on coming out with a high BC option that actually works.

With that in mind, having access to a company that can roll out new barrel liner profiles with a touch of a button with custom rifling depth, choke profiles, and twist rates aligned with new ammo options with a touch of a button and now you can buy that new barrel liner for $100?! Ya, you can hate on FX all you want and the promotional machine they have created, but that barrel liner technology is what has made 100 yard benchrest scores statistically soar. Go look at scores from 8 years ago.... Seeing someone in the 220s was someone who was blowing away the competition. Now 220s doesn't get you into the finals.

So to your point of an FX M4 or FX King right out of the box not being able to hang and you have to put a bunch of money into the platform to perform is BS. I made the finals and came in 6th overall with a BONE STOCK FX King at the 2024 NE Airguns Classic. I dropped it into a Saber Tactical Chassis and shot the best season of my life with that airgun, but it has ZERO internal mods. There are bone stock FX Impacts every year though that make the finals and the shooters aren't sponsored. Hell, Dusty Powers came out of no where a few years ago and kicked all of our asses with an FX Crown in .22 cal!

I will leave you with this.... To quote Mike Tyson, ""Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face!" Well, at RMAC that punch in the face is wind you have never seen before in your life and I've seen the very best tuned airguns and shooters barely break 200 points. To say this has become an equipment race is total BS. Yes the innovation has enabled 230s and 240 with 8x by Thayne Simmons last year with his Red Panda, but you still gotta know when to take the shot, because that wind will blow your pellet out of the ENTIRE scoring ring. That is my two cents, and thanks for listening to the rant. LOL!
What speeds are you typically shooting your .30 cal pellets at for 100ys accuracy, zan and aea respectively?

Royal Purple Ice Advice

You do know that water wetter and purple ice are just soap correct?
Not just soap. I'll break it down for you .
Royal purple ice , and Water wetter do contain some surfactants which are chemicals that reduce surface tension just like soap does , but they are not just soap they are specialized chemical blends designed for engines , and cooling systems. They improve heat transfer much better than water , or antifreeze alone. They prevent corrosion, scale build up , and electrolysis. They are stable at high temperatures and don't foam up up like regular soap would. If you used just dish soap it would foam up badly , corrode metals , and damage seals , and ruin cooling systems.

Buckrail+orcair chrono

Ok guys after some long and hard thinking and few failed tries,
today I came up with this idea and decided to give it a go,
I was fed up with Orcair chrono stupid loud by itself but I love the form factor,
and was unable to figure out how to integrate this pocket chrono with a suppressor,
well I finally achieved it and wanted to share with u guys if any of u want use it urself,
sanded the buck rail 3d suppressor untill I was able to make the outer end sit inside the adjustable collar of Orcair chrono about 1/4 depth of the collar and did use a vernier caliper to make sure that all the sides of suppressor are aligned and then I super glued it and let it dry for a day,
and then I tested it just now and compared the reading with dlx pro chrono and it works flawless.
i can sleep better now.
few pics for ur viewing pleasure.

N/A  Minimal tuning and accurate pcp rifle?

This right here. I think it’s a smoking deal. Love a .25 caliber as it really packs a punch and easier to spot holes in paper. If I were in the US, it would have already been sold.
I did end up getting that specific gun. it’s awesome. Thanks for the info
