If you're looking at reaching out past 100 yards, then slugs and a slug liner is the way to go. Liner changes are easy and you'll always have a pellet liner should you wanna go back, or you could sell fairly easily.

600-700mm barrel is ideal for long range, get some decent slugs and have at it.

Just for nfo, I shoot 22 MRDs at 900fps, sometimes a bit faster out to just over 100yds, 30fpe @ 100 is probably enough to kill a lot of smaller stuff.

I picked up a Gamo Urban and figured it would be a good first PCP and one I will give to one of my boys. I grew up shooting a Benjamin Sheridan my dad gave me when I was 8. That was almost 45 years ago and it is still accurate. Shot a crow at 30 yards with it last week but that 10 stroke pump gets old for any target shooting.
I had no idea until recently that air rifles had progressed this far and cost this much!

I do wonder if a lathe with grinding attachment will work. I hear they’re a mess to use but for doing barely more than a spark-off it might be ideal.

It’s going to be tough to find a shop to grind it properly and or not mess it up. Properly meaning the right machine to do the job. Crosman, Daystate ect do have custom center less grinders for this. A lathe grinding attachment can do it but would definitely still need a good follower on the opposing side of the wheel.

I totaly agree with you and I haven't even gone through a third of the trouble you have gone through.
I got it to shoot well in the begining and a week later all the problems started, with leaks and regulator problems.Mine came with a Lothar Walther barrel so i dont know what else I must do.Contacting Skout via email is a complete hit and miss setup, sometimes they answer, most of the time nothing.
I am at a loss for words here and I should not have to be doing all this technical stuff in order to get a very expensive airgun to work properly.
I was hopping that someone in the forum would be able to shed some light, but every case is different and one can not diagnose a problem this way.
If i lived in the states I would have sent it back to Scout by now!

Welcome to the forum. It was the great people here that showed me the possibilities of swadging slugs. That made me decide to order a press and custom dies. .3055 so if you see them in the queue you could always throw an expedited completion time frame. Just kidding im patiently waiting for the perfection to arive

Please report on how this tank is doing when you get some run time on it. I'm just finding this hobby and realize a hand pump is not going to be fun long-term.

I am new to to pcps, but I have bought a few in the last couple weeks. Huben gk 1 in .25 that i have a folding stock coming for it ( truck gun ) and a notos .22 for my son. Have my eyes on a few others... Wouldn't mind having a dedicated slug setup and I think the M4 is in the lineup for that role for now.

193 is still nothing to be worried about. Still a good card.

I was shooting mine yesterday. Not paper though. My cucumber crop is so overwhelming this year that I just set up over ripened ones at 35 yards and exploded them with .25 36.2 grain Nielsen hollow points.
I hate letting produce go to waste.
