What was your first PCP?

13 months ago, got a Crosman 3622 on sale. Didn’t want to spend a thousand bucks to shoot a sparrow. Next was a Beeman Raider 25. Haven’t stopped, still looking at more powerful AGs. Hope to stop before the thousand bucks limit, 😂
It’s possible!! But unlikely

AEA  Bintac M50C - An AEA HP MAX based air rifle

I'm going to try to get some numbers from mine soon. I've gone nuts buying these. Max 457 500 cc cf bottle, m457 22 inch barrel 700 cc bottle, m457 regged factory model, m50 50 cal 10" barrel. I've got all sorts of different slugs to try which is good. If the max gets numbers like that then the 22 inch barrel should be close to 950 fps. That's cooking. I only fill to 4100-4200 since most of what I've seen and read is they go crazy that first shot or two but then start a whole new group. I'd rather dial it back and get a group. Plus it never hurts to not push it to the limits IMHO.

I don't like these skunks either

I have shot them in the past. Twice it smelled up the backyard. Once it was so bad neighbors over 200' away at 2am start looking out the window wondering where the smell is coming from. My wife was so pissed she was mad for more then a week! I don't want to risk a sink bomb. Shooting it is the easy part. Ensuring 100% that is doesn't spray is the hard part. Even if I get luckly going for a heart/lung shot, I would have to search around the bushes trying to find the body before it decays and stinks up the neighborhood.
Then you only have one option: Eliminate their food source.
Do I get it right that you're feeding raccoons? That's another potential issue, but your choice. Hope it works out for you.

Chronograph Madness

Your expectation of chronograph accuracy is far too high - as is most peoples. Due to manufacturing tolerances, unless they're live shot calibrated - you're just not going to get the accuracy of the actual pellet speed. You can get 1% shot to shot consistency, but you'll see a higher variance from the actual speeds.
As far as i'm aware - i make the only calibrated Chronograph that is available on the market (that isnt insanely expensive) - every one is live shot tested with our certified master chronographs and is 0.01% accurate, ~1fps @ 1,000 fps.

Also - most dont run the numbers... 1% accuracy at 1,000fps is 10fps!!!
1% sounds super good, but at those higher speeds it's just not enough compared to what most expect.
(there's loads of reasons why, most marketing & some trickery)

Fits on the muzzle, zero space required, registers every shot - sort of a new age combro, but much better software/interface (because its newer tech).

We also have a few adapters specifically for target pistols - Walther LP500 & Steyr Evo 10 & you can print - so can help get you sorted with anything else you need.

What pistol did you shoot today

Thankyou Mark, I decided to make this traditional CO2 pistol as I have too many wild pcp build already. I'm also waiting on some aluminum material for my RP. It came with a warped wooden grip, PA did send a complete plastic grip and butt stock for it. Some how the grip angle does not fit me well, so I'll make an aluminum grip frame and use a 1911 style grip panel. I also finished the trigger job on it last week, finally shortened the sear bar to reduce crept. I put a much lighter trigger shoe spring and cut one full coil on the sear spring, Breaks at 1# 2 oz.
BTW love that beautiful Lab pup you got. Time to call it a night shop is getting too cold, lol.

Hi... It's Marker...I keep looking at your RPA...Question...is that a Pistol Scope..or is a rifle scope with a 3" eye relief...and is that scope only being held on just by the rear mount only and is the front mount there just for show ...just Curious

EDgun  Edgun r3 tuning

A couple things I can think of. Are you sure your chrony is working right, checked it against other guns? Are you using same pellets previous owner recommends? I think the R3 has a maximum fill of 250 bar, have you tried that AND the 200 bar previous owner mentioned? Can't think of much else except reg setting. Have you spoken to previous owner about it?
