Huben  GK1 maximum rounds so far?

I can't find the post either... :). But, here is a snapshot of my Excel spreadsheet with the data.

SUPER helpful. I'm surprised how well the .22 hold up against the .25 in efficiency at the higher powers of around 40 ft/lbs. Only a few percentage drop in # of shots I think. At significantly lower power, it looks it then becomes more efficient than the .25. This makes the .22 an 'efficient' option.

It is possible that I'm interpreting the chart wrongly and happy to get input from anyone else who may know. Thanks

Battery power for my GX CS2

BSJ, can you power the GX compressor with a Makita battery? Thanks for the other information. I was just repeating what I saw in reviews so I am not surprised it is not totally accurate.

I thought some of you might appreciate a little data. I used the 6 amp hour again a few minutes ago and the voltage afterwards was below 18V as I expected. It is now on the charger (acting normal with two bars showing). The lowest voltage I saw when the compressor was running was 16.6V. The four gun fills were all of my P35s which store about 250cc of air at 250 bar (or less but I pumped up to 250 bar each time). The start and end voltage and a little more fill data is as follows:

P35-22 160-250bar 20.7-20.1V
P35-177 150-250bar 20.3-19.4V
P35-177 130-250bar 29.6-18.5V
P35-22 150-250bar 18.6-17.6V

The voltages in each case were no load. As you can see, the battery gains a tenth of a Volt or more just sitting there waiting to be used. I could undoubtedly get an additional gun fill or maybe more from a battery but I don't need to and prefer to be careful with the battery protection acting funny.

I consider this to be a total success. I now know I could take this little light compressor with me to a gun range or otherwise and with a battery or two have plenty of air. I can even put the compressor right at my shooting bench and not have to carry the gun to the truck or something to fill it. But I can also use the same compressor in my kitchen close to my shooting bench at home using 120V to save a little wear and tear on the batteries. And if I run out of battery power I can hook it to my truck and fill that way.
Yes, you can use OEM Makita batteries on a GX compressor.

I mis-remembered the GX charger being able to charge Makita batteries. The Makita battery does fit onto the GX charger. The light turns red and is probably charging. I just don't feel comfortable doing so. Especially since I have Makita chargers.

GX batteries won't even clip onto a Makita charger.

Gx filter is here

Looking forward to your opinion if these are actually better and worth almost twice what the tuxing or fast to buy ones cost. 👍
Will do, I've had the big gold tuxing, mine stretched the threads so I threw it away. It was nearly impossible to open up it had stretched so bad.

I'm running a coalescing type filter now on my EK-5. The new one will be far more portable for travel on the cs4. The size and magnets will be handy I think.

My delivery date is May 1 - May 5

Thought the GF said Monday, she actually said May. I don't have prime so she places all my Amazon orders😁

CS4 arrived, my first pcp compressor.

I haven't shot a Hueben but the reviews indicate it is pretty quiet. May not be audible if the tractor is running. It's shroud is baffled. My Avenger is my only airgun that didn't have reasonably effective baffles in the shroud. And if you decide to add a moderator no tax stamp or permit is required.

Huben  GK1 .177

Just got my GK1 .177 from Kelly it came with 310 bar , I had some Gamo g-hammer 15.42 gr pelltes that were .183 at the base at the one turn out that Kelly shiped at they shoot at 680 and sit tight in the mag. These pellets got stuck in most other .177's I tried them in more tests to come need to find a qd red dot

What’s your favorite target?

Cans for springers and steel for PCPs.

20 yards for pistols.

55 yards for rifles and pistols. Paint the steel with white spray paint and let dry. Orange paint for the bullseyes. They really pop with two coats of paint. Paper targets only zeroing.

I can hit the cans with my LP400 with about eight inches of hold over when the wind cooperates. 😀

If you are shooting the small flippers at 55 yards, with a pistol, I'm just going to sit here and resent you. ;-)

Barra  Barra 400E Gen 2 (Tan) Full Review (Electric Full Auto .177 BB Rifle)

Thanks for the review and I'm more convinced than before that I definitely want one.
I am looking at the polymer version to save a few bucks. looks like more fun than one should have with their clothes on. Mark

I don't like these skunks either

The skunk will never leave unless its food source is eliminated. You'll have to kill it.
I have shot them in the past. Twice it smelled up the backyard. Once it was so bad neighbors over 200' away at 2am start looking out the window wondering where the smell is coming from. My wife was so pissed she was mad for more then a week! I don't want to risk a sink bomb. Shooting it is the easy part. Ensuring 100% that is doesn't spray is the hard part. Even if I get luckly going for a heart/lung shot, I would have to search around the bushes trying to find the body before it decays and stinks up the neighborhood.

Crazy price of used guns

I see a lot of retail prices for used guns and figure they're not too serious about selling. When I do find something for a good price I realize not enough posts to PM and not familiar with the process.

Does everyone Paypal the funds first and trust the seller ships the gun? Most of the sellers are probably honest but seems kinda risky for the buyer.
i'm 6 for 6. Feedback and familiarity means something. BTW, where in GA?

How fast do 30 cal slugs have to go in order to stabilize?

Suggest ZAN's .30 Slug Assortment box. Weight variety from 45.5 to 68 grains offers a chance to discover what your gun prefers. With factory settings in both 700mm Uragan 2 and Vulcan 3, found 54 and 59 grains shot best, large groups with others. Chronograph showed low to mid 800fps but accuracy @ 50 yards was impressive. WM

CS4 arrived, my first pcp compressor.

Taipans are reported to have about the nicest trigger of any airgun and great accuracy. I hessitate to get one because they are somewhat heavy. Almost all PCPs work by having a hammer hit a valve to release the air. Huebens use a totally different system. The trigger opens a valve if I understand what I've seen. No hammer. Cleaning the barrel is from the muzzle only, not a great idea, but it normally is not necessary very often on an airgun. I think both are great guns from what I've read and seen. AGTs and Air Maks are also quality airguns at a somewhat lower price point. I have an Air Maks Caiman X and it has not been trouble free but it is a nice gun that is a pleasure to shoot and it's as accurate as any airgun I own. After I got it fixed up it has been trouble free.
I found the pricing for it, which is the same as the leshiy, but from the videos, it does not look like it can be taken down like the leshiy. I sort of lean towards the sidewinder compact. It would be great not to have to worry about earplugs when shooting while out working in the tractor.

Topping off at high pressure.

I would not suggest anybody start their compressor with the bleed valve closed but actually on a gun fill or any situation where there is no pressure in the line, it isn't going to hurt anything by closing the bleed valve before startup. The goal is for the compressor to not see any pressure at startup. That goal is met. But it would be a bad habit to get into. If you were to do this filling a bottle (without a one way valve in the line) it could make your compressor inoperable. Damage it. Even one time.

So the right habit is to close the bleed valve after the compressor starts and open it before turning the compressor off. Starts and stops should not be against pressure. Nothing to be gained closing the bleed valve early.

Air Shootist's 2024 NRL22 Season - Write-up & Discussion

Very smart rule change, that will open it up to a lot of different air rifles.

Just to help people with the math, that means you can shoot a 40 grain projectile at 1112 fps. And more importantly, if you have a lower powered rifle, this will allow you to shoot a lighter weight slug or pellet at higher speeds.
