Daystate  New Daystate Delta Wolf, erratic velocity with advanced setting

Ok I would say it is the parameters you input then. I have realized these guns still need good numbers just like a mechanical gun needs good balance between reg, and hammer strike. I’m sorry I don’t have any experience with 177. Maybe someone else will come in with some specific sets. Try beginning with voltage and adjust that up until no more velocity increases for that reg pressure. I do try to keep the voltage on my guns set just below that point. Might help.
Guess I need to take my laptop out to my range and start playing with settings. Thanks

SCBA for benchrest...are tanks required to be within cert?

Having the tank certified DOT allows you to go to dive shops/paintball store to fill the tank. Every 5 years, they need to be recertified.
If you have your own compressor, the DOT is not necessary.
I have not seen any place check to see if the tank was certified at a competition.

Daystate  Blackwolf owners discussion

Update on my high end daystate experience. A few days after sending to AOA to examine the out of spec rear rails, I received a call from the service manager confirming my measurements. He also tried 4 different rings and none of them would fit the rear rails. He then told me that the gun would go back to Daystate and that a new replacement would be sent. So far so good.

Yesterday I received the replacement from AOA. Opened the box and strangely the stock was not attached to the rifle. No big deal I thought and started assembling the rifle. Almost immediately I noticed that the stock was cracked. Not very happy at this point so I called AOA and once again, they were great and issued a return. Given that this is the second problem on a brand new Daystate I requested a full refund. When I questioned why a brand new rifle would be shipped unassembled the rep told me that they have had problems exactly at the same location as mine and that the hope was that shipping the stock loose from the rifle was done to avoid similar cracks.

None of this is acceptable to me on such a high end airgun and therefore I requested a refund and I am at least for the time being done with Daystate.

Sure hope that my experience is an outlier and that everyone else is happy with the quality of the product they received. Maybe one day I will finally own a beautiful Daystate but not from what I have experienced on my first purchase attempt. Again, thanks to AOA for being responsive and for the quick communications. Not AOA's fault that the stock is cracked, the package arrived with almost no visible damage and as usual was well packaged by AOA.

Sorry all that happen to you, my stock came in a different box by itself. I got something from AOA today had some liquid all over the box. Driver said check it out if there’s anything wrong let him know. Fortunately, it was double box and everything looks good. It was a Venom booster kit for my Mardox 22 I Have several daystate and I have enjoyed all of them, 6 of them I have bought used, the Black Wolf I bought new.
I have had to send 2 back to get rebuilt they are 7 to 8 year old, I am getting the second one back tomorrow from the shop.

RTI  Prophet Performance P1 fill port

You’re probably going to cook that grab bag oring. It needs to be polyurethane. In the meantime, fill the gun as slow as your excitement levels to get back to shooting can handle. It will last a while if you don’t smoke it.

Yeah, perhaps - but I’v got at least 20 of ‘em.

If someone could please give me the specs on the poly o-ring required, I’d really appreciate it.

In the meantime, this 6mm OD by 2mm cross section o-ring works great. I can even use the EZ-Fill and it works like a charm - better than my original poly one -likely because it was damaged.

FX  DRS Tactical Tuning Issue

I have made a thread here on how to solve that first slow shot. It involves some work that I wont recommend for people that arent working on their airrifles.

Buying used rifles

And occasionally ridiculously low bids on Gunbroker.com stand up and you get a rifle selling for $800 out the door under $500 🤩
Of course, then *issues* occur. Like clearly stating "FFL is not required" on the main ad and buried in the text of the description "FFL required"

Then the offer to refund my money comes in.

But i found a nice gentleman that will handle the FFL as a favor.

Taipan  Taipan Slash first tuning report.

at that 185 bar setting how many shots did you get before the reg?

While we're waiting for jpiperson2002 to reply, I can tell you this.

My Slash Tactical Compact .22 gets the following:
  • Bar Fill: 290-295
  • Reg Setting: 165 bar
  • Pellets: JSB/FX/AEA 25.39
  • Total good regulated shots: 58
  • ES: 28
  • SD: 5.1
  • FPE: 50.5
I don't shoot slugs, and only have 3 pellets mags, so usually only fill to 270-280 bar or so. Plus, gun is new so I expect the ES and SD to drop once regulator sets in.

This compact has a 420mm barrel, and I don't need a moderator with a 50 fpe gun! It's one of the very few PCP's I've owned without moderator in my suburban backyard.

FX  Fx drs/fx drs pro dimensions

Sorry my phone autocorrected I meant Huma airguns, I didn't know Utah AG sold em just as a base is that new?
i am not sure i beleive within the last few months or so. but yea 1200 for a drs pro is worth it imo especially if your capable of making your own chassis. i own several mdt chassis but thought i would try somthing new this time. i always liked a manners. what type of chassis do you plan to make?

RTI  Prophet Performance P1 fill port

You guys are killing me with those Prophets. I've yet to find someone who isn't amazed at how they shoot. Some grips about growing pains as they came out with new models, but no gripes about accuracy.
I saw a LR barrel advertised and thought I'd buy it because a Prophet is hopefully my next rifle, but after seeing and talking to RPB barrel owners, I'm sold on them. A P3, some slugs and I'd be in heaven!

Hi Bob,

My Prophets (both P1s) are rifles that I’ll describe as “easy to shoot accurately”.

I’ve got an extensive collection of 20+ high end PCPs from RTI, Daystate, Weihrauch, FX, etc…. so I’m basing that description after shooting a lot of different rifles.

My targets for those 30 & 40 yard challenges have a .125” (1/8) inch diameter ten-ring. I’m shooting at over 40 ft/lbs (20.83g @935 fps) with the Prophet P1 .22 LR. The rifle is extremely docile - its quiet and doesn’t recoil or move. I have seen VERY FEW rifles that are so docile to shoot - and almost none at 40+ ft/lbs.

The trigger on the P1 is WAY better than an FX trigger - I currently own 6 FXs - its a nice two stage that you can set up at 5-6 ounces out-of-the-box (no trigger job required).

Its a really nice rifle to shoot.

Daystate  New Daystate Redwolf .177 HP - Which pellets?

Try Daystate pellets.
My Redwolf is a Safari HP in .25 cal.
I purchased it "pre-owned" from AoA. It was owned/tuned by one of the owners. I was told (when I ordered it) to shoot Rangemaster 33.9 pellets out of it. So I ordered a bunch of tins at the same time. Getting sub MOA, all day long. Hole in hole out to 75 yards. Still sub MOA at 100 yards. Bought JSB of the Sam weight and they were horrible. I compared the consistency in weight on a scale. JSB's were all over the place and Rangemasters were VERY consistent. The Rangemasters ARE made in the JSB factory. I don't care what anyone says, THEY ARE DIFFERENT. I have put JSBs and Rangemasters side by side and there ARE noticeable differences. I have literally discarded my JSB pellets since they're useless to me. Of course I could weigh and sort them, but WHY.
My rifle is shooting Rangemaster Emperor 33.95 on high power at 936 fps. At medium power, I shoot JTS Dead Center 29.63 pellets at 935 fps.

What did you order / receive airgun related today? Thread

2 more 12 shot mags for the Hatsan Flash .22 arrived today bringing my total to 3. Perfect match up to a full fill.
I highly recommend mags from Big Air Precision made right here in the USA. I have mags from Tony for several of my guns and they all work so much better than factory mags.
BTW... if the factory mags fit under your scope, these will fit. The .22 mags go in from the left side and have indicator dots counting down the last 3 shots. These mags fit more snug than factory with a positive "click" into place.
Good Stuff.

Just got 2 of the M60B Sluggr .25. They fit and work in my Snowpeak Max 1.
0.5mm thinner, makes zero difference.
