I watch lots of airgun videos as well, nothing wrong with that if it's for the airgun-pic and eye-candy.
There are a few youtube airgun channels that do detailed reviews with proper testing that are really good. The rest fall into entertainment, infomercial, click-bait or more frequently these days, AI generated crap. Anyone can do an unboxing and regurgitate the manufacturer's propaganda. One or two cherry-picked groups accompanied with excuses for the fliers hardly qualifies for an accuracy test.
The hunting videos are ok and often show some nice scenery. Many of these shooters are very skilled at using top-end equipment and accessories, reading the wind and making incredible shots in a target rich situation... they are also very good editing the videos and controlling the narrative. Just notice: hundreds of pigeons and a whole day worth of shooting (watch the sun and lightning) for a dozen spectacular hits... and how many poor hits or misses? Cool to see but hardly "real world" for the most of us.
Yup, I spend too much time on youtube, most of which is spent sifting through the crap trying to find something worthwhile to watch. Seems that everyone with a cellphone is a self-proclaimed expert trying to cash in on some easy money. Often there is more to be learned by reading the comments than watch the video LOL!
Nothing wrong with watching youtube, it's just that with all the contradictory videos from dubious sources I'm don't accept anything as presented without doing some real research.
