Daystate  Delta Wolf, how many sets in advanced mode

Direct from the touch screen ...
My computer program is a factory level one, as far as I know, so likely much different than yours. I can't recall trying to create Sets from it though maybe one could.
How did you get a factory level version???? Would love to know what is different between that and the version they make publicly available.

Daystate  Delta Wolf, how many sets in advanced mode

A huge amount of tunes can be saved. HUGE!!!
Obviously missing something in the process. Just tried playing with the PC software again and figured out how to add sets to the advanced settings. Not what I would call an intuitive program. What I was missing is you have to select a set first before you can use the right click menu to add another. Same right click menu comes up without selecting first making one think it should add another but it just does nothing. Far from a polished program but now that I know the secret handshake I can add more sets to play with tuning and not have to drag my laptop to my range.

Stoeger  Stoeger XM1 Bullpup How Tune Down?

There is a picture of how I do the measurement in post 18 of this thread. It is not based upon a theory of how regulators work, it was just a guess initially. Then I tried it a couple times, made measurements and then shot the gun down to below the regulator setting. Experimentally instead of theoretically determined, in other words. The range of lengths I suggested is based upon the length of the regulator in my P35X right now which seems to be giving me about 90 bar and the length of the regulator in my P35-22 which seems to be about as high as the hammer spring will open (140 or so).

What I don't know is how much variation there is between SPA regulators. I wouldn't be surprised with a 0.1mm variation. But that is purely a guess.

Zulus non lrf

@FLgunner I’m not seeing a gen 1 LRF for under $500. What am I missing?

Yep, use the discount code PANDA10 for 10% ($53.99) off. It drops the price to $486.00 shipped! That discount code worked on the V2 also.

Airforce  Airforce CondorSS .22; your choice for the most accurate standard pellet

No slugs. Pest control including squirrels. Thank you for your recommendation....!

Suburban area where downrange energy could be an issue = the lighter pellet the better.

Reach out and touch something, without needing to worry about continued downrange energy = the JSB .22/25.4. With a standard twist rate barrel that pellet seems to do best in the 890fps realm.

Yes, you'll need the transfer port restrictors. MASSIVE power from the Condor line. I've played with lots of airguns, and the Air Force configuration of having the bottle directly behind the barrel, plus their simple valve system, makes them far and away the easiest small bore airgun to get fpe out of. And that ease with which they make power is almost detrimental, if trying to tame them for lighter pellets. That's where the transfer port restrictors come into play.

I've got a .22 AF barrel sitting on my bench right now, trying to decide what direction to take it. The donor recipient is a .25 Condor SS.

What did you do airgun related today.

Tested out the 10.03g JSB Knockouts Mk3 on a rabbit. I've been using 13.43g slugs which have been awesome as far as penetration but not expanding reliably...thought I'd give these another try and @ 25yards on the rabbit it expanded well and plenty of penetration...check out the slow motion and pics

Daystate  Blackwolf owners discussion

I've been following the Skout Evo/Epoch thread, as the Evo was the gun I was considering vs the Blackwolf. That thread is really making me appreciate my Blackwolf! When those guns work, they seem amazing, but when they need maintenance they seem pretty complex.

I really appreciate the intentional simplicity of the Blackwolf design, for maintenance and reliability. I'm super happy with my purchase decision, even considering the premium cost.

Still testing .177 slugs....slow motion rabbit vital shot 25 yards

Rabbit @ 25 yards
Daystate Pulsar HP .177
JSB Knockout 10.03g @ 1018 fps / 23 fpe

Decided to test the 10.03g JSB Knockout MK3 one more time and at 25 yards got more than enough penetration and on inspecting the exit wound seemed to expand very nicely although I didn't recover the slug. I was a little hesitant to use the 10g since the last time when I used it to take a rabbit with a headshot @ 55yds. It put the rabbit down quick enough with the headshot but didn't pass through so I was kind of doubtful if I'd get a pass through with a vital shot.

The 10.03g slammed through the rabbits arm, through the vitals, and left a big exit wound on the opposite side breaking a couple ribs on the way out. He just dropped immediately and remained in the spot where he fell so plenty of penetration.

I've been using the 13.43 Knockouts lately and they've punched clean through up to 80 yards on a Jackrabbit but they haven't been expanding consistently hence testing the 10.03g again. I'd like to take some rabbits out to 80-100 yards and see how they perform.

Newbie needing your help regarding Compressor choices

I have 2 GX Compressors, the CS-4 and L3, both are great and I highly recommend them. If you are only filling airguns with small cylinders, the CS-2 or CS-3 are both good options and are cheaper.

If you purchase direct from GX Pump, use their discount code (GX10OFF) to get 10% off. They also ship free and typically don't charge sales tax, depending upon where you are located.

Hornets nest

Ball facred hornets are definitely evil bastards. I still have work to do killing this nest. It is full of rubber mulch, so I have been putting off death with FIRE. Lol,4 cans in and those turds are still flying around. They kicked my ass once already, damn terrorist still have my hat held capture as well. 🤦‍♂️

Newbie needing your help regarding Compressor choices

I've had my Rovair 4500 for about a year now, and it's been trouble free. Did have to get them send a replacement fill whip as the one from the factory had a leak. New one was a different style. I don't use it that often, maybe once a month.
Thank You for the info. :) I will probably use 2-3 times a week unless I like PCP shooting alot!

Airforce  Airforce CondorSS .22; your choice for the most accurate standard pellet

As Rob said, getting it low enough.

I'm on the crazy side of the AirForce spectrum. I add high flow tophat, regulators, plenums and large bottle on the air side. I add heavy spring and heavy hammer on the mechanical side. 18" barrel too.

I've found the H&N Barracuda Match 21.14gr were the best across a range of regulator settings. I eventually set the regulator to 1400psi and shoot the pellets at around 900FPS to maximize shot count.

With the standard SS 12" barrel it was around 2000psi for 900FPS.

My favorite regulator for the .22 is the Huben Power Cricket Max-ATH universal with the 50cc plenum.

You really only need an adjustable regulator and the power wheel to tune your gun. The rest is all for power/shot count.

I just use the small reservoir that comes with the regulator, good for 1-2 shots. Then adjust the regulator up or down 1/4 turn until you get your FPS.

A regulator with plenum will get you more shots and a much more consistent shot string.

Also, on my guns, the AirForce top hat is thread locked to their bottle. Huben Power also builds regulators with tophat. But you have to buy them from Huben Power

Oops, CondorSS is a 19" barrel. I was thinking Talon.

Airforce  Airforce CondorSS .22; your choice for the most accurate standard pellet

JSB 18gr. The challenge with the Condors will be getting it low enough to be accurate. Unless you go with the inserts in the tophat, typically what you can do is try a fill pressure around 2400-2500 and pop an o ring behind the top hat. Chrony will be ultra helpful to see where your shots start to flatten out and how many shots you'll get. You'll want to take it back to around 860fps for best accuracy. Others have had good luck with 21gr Kodiaks as well. Back in the day, Eun Jin pellets were also used.

Skout  Everything Skout EVO and Epoch

Interesting! A friend has just passed this onto me, don't remember seeing anything from Skout about this, but I may have missed it but anyway after degreasing the areas marked I no longer have creep and although early stages It may be possible to achieve single figures, might be useful to some unless It's already well known, and I am last in the queue.:whistle:

They do mention it here, i followed this video guide when i serviced both my regs.

Air hose inanity

I've stuck with the GX hoses. I have 5 now and plenty of o-rings. Also have 2 of the Tuxing braided hoses off Amazon, simply for the length. Took a few returns to get one's that didn't leak under the braid. Also had one rupture. But 2 I have now have lasted nearly a year, one is on my filter setup that stays pressurized.
