Hunting safety in populated areas

shooting at ground level is far less risky than up in the trees or on a wire, I believe most people hunting iguana know what to look out for.

Thanks for the info!!I have only filled tanks, 45 & 1 hr SCBA only 2 times from empty so far, but not in 1 sitting.
I made my own cooling mods that make a difference. no ice for me, to much added time. I haven't changed the 5 gal water since I wrote the article.

I only need to run mine 15 max 20 minutes at a time and it never gets to 60c without a rest. I use the small filter that comes with it to stop oil and some/most water. That cotton filter gets changed every time i run it. Dried and reused. I bleed every 5 minutes or 10 in the winter when the humidity is below 20% in my basement. I have 2 towers in line 1st is a water separator 2nd is the desiccant, charcoal. i keep those pressurized for months at a time. To keep them pressurized i use a one-way fitting and a shut off valve. I only open the vent on the water separator a tiny bit to check for additional water.
Was it a Wood pup , or a Tactical one , and can you throw up a pic of it OldVet wants to see.![]()
Not yet. I am going to test the Appolo, HN and JSB slugs next week over the chrony. My slug experience with the P35, it does best when I tuned it to 900fps with the hn 16 grainers. I can consistantly hit golf balls at 80 yards with minimal drop. I am going try to achieve the same thing with the Pintypup. Slug wise, I have gotten better accurcy cutting a tappered chamber with a reamer. (Bob Stern had a great write up about it years ago.) I may try that if I can't get my Pinty to group slugs.Looks great! Have you found any slugs yet that your Pup likes?
I have a cheap Xisico Sentry 705HC .22 PCP Rifle that just loves the Daisy Precision Max Hollow Points. They are made from soft lead and I have shot 1000's of them through it with no degradation in accuracy. Haven't had the chance to shoot my Zelos yet - hoping it likes them too.I'm considering a Firewalker special with shortest barrel possible that would be custom fit just past two side by side tiny bottles , but I would never be able to sacrifice my barrel I have now as the accuracy of it it just amazing. I read somewhere that the competitive shooters never clean their barrels , and nothing has been down my Zelos barrel except Apolo slugs , and pellets. I was also informed by reading that the alloy compesition of different manufacturers is an important part of lubercation to the barrel , so I gathered hard alloys don't lube as well as softer ones , and I'm talking about the natural lubercation properties of lead. I don't know for sure , but I think Apolo uses a very soft alloy , and I read Zan's are rather hard , but don't know how accurate this statement is.
Something with the lever and bolt connectionI clean barrel after every use the bolt and probe don't even make it into the barrel looking today I think it's the silver arm connection to the bolt I think the connector screw backed out something in receiver housing on the stock side of magwell .I just don't wanna have to open it just yet.its under warranty hoping worse case I can replace it
I have only filled tanks, 45 & 1 hr SCBA only 2 times from empty so far, but not in 1 sitting. That’s good news. I currently have one in transit from the same eBay seller. Are you using a tank or filling directly into your air rifle? Any additional filtration or water/oil capture?
Back when they were still producing the ShoeBox , i was talking to them and wanted the compressor to run the box and the feed to the gun / tank was Nitrogen. i think the model was using a tank that was below regulator pressure to run the shoebox and another to be the boosted air to the gun .beerthief
It only requires an air feed in order to boost the pressure from the shop PSI to the needed PSI for PCP's.
$500 isn't outrageous, but perhaps $300 would be a decent price if you happen to run across another.
Shoot straight!

Do you mean "top of the rock airgun" ?Forgot to mention I had Mr. Buck replace the 1st gen AMP regulators with the latest generation AMP regulators.
The gen 1 Delrin piston shafts were scared and the valve seats were chewed up from the 1st owner frequently adjusting them.
I was just about to buy a G30sl because they are supposed to be incredibly accurate for a budget pcp. From what i can see in YT videos looks like MOA groups at least up to 100yds.Now i’m second guessing that over a Barra 250z for my 100yd plinkerWhat kind of tuning can I do with the SL30?
I’m learning more and more about pcp’s.. have recently been learning to tune my new Panthera 30 cal 700..
I had given up on my gauntlet because of unrepeatable accuracy but I recently decided to get it back out, bought a less expensive scope for it and I’ll just use it for plinking or use it when the panthera isn’t available (right now I can’t shoot the heavy slugs I want till I get the new tungsten hammer installed on the panthera)
I consider the gauntlet to be an entry level airgun and it’s not worth it to me to dump money on haijimoto upgrades. So what can I do to improve it without a bunch of cash? If there’s nothing I’m ok with that. I honestly don’t have high expectations. I searched for videos on hammer spring adjustments and tuning and most searches lead me to tuning upgrades. But what can I do myself? Can anyone recommend some articles or videos on tuning this thing cuz I didn’t come up with much. Or trigger adjustments for that matter?
Or if had to upgrade something that didn’t cost too much what would be the best bang for the buck? I’m not poor i just don’t think dumping money into an entry level gun is worth it. I have been dumping plenty into the panthera.
- These screws (8-40 x1/8, 10-32 x 1/8) cost $1.19 & $1.49 respectively at Ace Hardware, hence each gun will cost less than $4.50 using this methodologyAce hardware sells gun smith screws. I have had good results using their slotted blued grub screws that are slightly undersized. The threads are not the same but will thread in with very slight interference yet loosely enough not to damage the existing threads. I use a little red Locktite in the unthreaded front hole to retain the smaller screw in place. Sorry I don’t have the screw sizes I used. Not perfect, but cosmetically appealing.

only have 2 .22 's , .177 in all others ( 20 i just counted rifles ) 6 pistols .177 My favorite.I would really like a .20 in the 77 but I can’t find one anywhere.
I don’t know if I could live with having to shoot .177
