Rat Shoot with M60B and Pard Night Stalker 4K

@Ezana4CE I edited the video to scope view in hopes to stimulate my experience with viewers what I actually see when I was shooting these rats. The Pard Night Stalker 4K does display a rectangular screen in playbacks. There is a focus ring at the front of the scope to adjust the parallax. This unit is better than my Pard 008 LRF in terms of image quality since it is a 4K unit. Most importantly, the build in ballistic calculator is very convenient to use once I have entered all the required data such as pellet weight, speed, scope height and a couple of more entry. Then I just click once to range, second click to have a new aim point at the target. I just have to get used to the control on this unit to make it quick and smoother to operate when I doing the shoot. Thanks for watching.

If I was going to get one of these, I would be tempted to get a 500 and put the rail on it, along with a Donny FL FX mod. I would end up being about the same length as the 600.
Yeah that's my thought too. However I just looked at then and pricing wise the 500mm isn't even adjusted for not having the rail. Seems kinda shady to do that.

Decided on a PCP...

Awesome. I was looking a the Donny FL moderators. Wasn't sure what would be the best one to go with. These prices are much easier to deal with than the cost of Firearm suppressors.
I've used Natchez quite a bit, they've always been solid for me.

I've got a couple Donnyfl, I like them, fit/finish is great. I haven't used any of the others on the market.

I'm relatively new to airguns (5yrs), so take the following for what it's worth..my experience is that a good/efficient tune makes a bigger difference than the moderator for sound suppression. If you're tuning it to be a hammer, moderator internal volume is your friend.

Other  Taipan shroud on a Ghost?!?

DFL sells an adapter - so you can use a standard 1/2-20 threaded moderator on a bare barreled Daystate if you desire…

I used a similar one of these on the Ghost barrel to be able to thread into the vented bushing (1/2x20) inside the Veteran shroud.

Thanks for confirming, I wasn't too confident in my memory.

🎯 ShootingTargets7.com [All 1/8" AR400 Airgun-Loving Gongs] 🔥 LOUD Hits! 🔥 10% OFF (As Low as $7.18!) 🎯

Hello Steve, it is not clear to me the intent of this post if it is an informative post about mild steel targets or questioning the
durability of ours.

To clear that up....

I have no doubt your statement is correct but to be clear our 1/8" targets being shown here are
mild steel, they are AR400. There is a 3x difference in strength as seen in the table below.

They also ring much louder when hit due to the hardness difference.

Steel TypeTensile Strength (psi)Difference
A3658,000 – 80,000 psi
AR400 180,000 – 200,000 psi ~3x stronger

I hope this helps clear up any potential confusion.

I have never shot at AR400, so I cannot say how durable it is, but I can state that if mild un-heatreated steel is used, it must be at least 4mm thick to withstand .25 pellets at even low velocities to withstand distortion.

Other  Taipan shroud on a Ghost?!?

Forgot to mention that the OD of the Veteran baffles is the same as the ID of the BRK carbon fiber shroud....in other words, the ID of both the Vet and the Ghost shrouds are the same. And yes, I tinkered with the Vet baffles stacks in the BRK carbon fiber shroud. It works, just wasn't quite as quiet as the Vet aluminum shroud.

HOWEVER... I'm planning on putting the now extra longer carbon fiber BRK shroud on my 17" .177 barrel, with some Veteran baffles in there, to be able to run it hushed, without having to add a moderator. The Ghost carbine (17" barrel and short little carbon fiber tube) REQUIRES an additional moderator to be tolerable. Also, I checked and there's simply not enough room in the front of the short little carbine shroud to add baffles. So to add baffles to a Ghost Carbine, a guy has to have a longer than OEM shroud.

I ordered one of these.

Sweet! That's a lot of gun for the money, no way you can build one for that.

Has anyone purchased a YONG HENG recently?

During the vaccine hysteria I finished my basement mans cave and my YH compressor got to my garage.
Unbelievable how much more comfortable working with over there.
I am still cooling it from a large orange HD bucket, I am running a garden hose and recycling the water to the garden continuously.

RTI  🤔 KnockOut Slugs Falling Out Of OEM Magazine?!?

I did a video with my Two Magazine here in front of the computer, it is hit / miss if i can get slugs to slide back out of it, for sure if i was to use it, keep rifle level or pointing down when cocking it.

I do prefer lid style magazines i have to admit, crank it, pit in 1 pellet / slug to lock spring in place, and then just jam them in there.

FX  FX Leopard

Lol yeah I'm sure they'll have something. But then cost just goes up, might as well get the 600mm instead and deal with the added length.
Yeah definitely 👍. I agree I couldn’t live with that gun bare with no rail. Ruins it aesthetically. I’d also be really mad if I watched that video, called and ordered a compact and that thing showed up. Hope they correct it and make it clear or people look at the website first.

Resources  Field target van for travel

When my truck bed is done rotting off, a camper type enclosure will replace it. At the very least it will be a flat bed that can be camped on.
We have a farm truck. Luckily they don't rust here. I don't take it on trips because 11mpg cost too much to drive.

Other  Taipan shroud on a Ghost?!?

I think maybe 14x1mm?

That's what Red Wolf and Delta Wolf and Ghost barrels have on the muzzle too. Standard Daystate/BRK practice is to make the internal front shroud support thread onto that 14x1? And then the carbon fiber shroud itself has a glued in insert with 1/2x20 threads so you can add a moderator to the shroud.
Yes, Daystate barrels (like my Wolverine R HP) are threaded M14x1.
