Other  RAW pistol

After a few deals i now have the cash to buy a RAW pistol , i would like Martin to build it (he is only 2.25 hours drive from me ) MY dilemma is : do i get the Aluminum or carbon fiber tank . right now it s the AL. tank as it looks better ( i really hate the look of tank guns .) I think i need to talk to Martin and see if their is a way to get an air tube on the pistol ?

All these decisions ! YIKES
Wow…if you could get that with a tube…I think it would be tooooo cool. I’d sure love to see one. Good Luck with your endeavor. John

Air Arms  too heavy

I usually shoot the AA 10.3s and like them very much. Very accurate, and a good hunting pellet. If the gun I'm shooting is 11fpe or more (hw50, hw97k, pro sport), then I'll typically grab the 10.3s. R7/hw30s, I usually grab the AA 8.4s or 7.3s. The FTT 8.64s I just can't stand because of how tight they fit into the breech. Just a personal bias, because they are quite accurate. One brand that I have been very pleased with are the Norma pellets. The 9.1s seem to be very consistent on sizing, and are one of, if not the, most accurate pellets I've ever shot.

I'll have to try the Normas. Thanks for the tip

PCP Rifle  SOLD Zelos . 22 with 500cc bottle, $420 shipped, PRICE DROP!

Maybe my original number was too high? So let's try $420.

Hi all,
I am selling my .22 Zelos to move up to a 30cal. The only alterations I did is on the rubber butt pad, I made it so you can adjust the hammer spring without moving or loosening anything. Just use the screwdriver in the pics. The other is I drilled the regulator lock ring so you can use the small pin tool in the pics to loosen and tighten the ring. The trigger is great and set to 1.5lbs. besides those it is all original, and if you can see the targets in the pics you see how well this shoots. I have it set up for 18grn pellets, but I have gotten amazing groups with jts 16, 18, 20.7 pointy, 25, grain pellets, jsb and air arms 18'.s, also 21and 23 grain slugs from H&N at . 217" diameter all seem to like 850 to 890 f.p.s. It holds air with no leak down, and the hammer spring and regulator adjust perfectly. This one came with the locking collar where he shroud screws on. I went over the rifle out of the box to check and lube everything and found nothing out of place.

Here's what comes with the rifle,
1.factory packaging and paperwork with orings, etc. and I just got 1 magazine.
2. 1/2x20 moderator included.
3.bipod, and bottle mount.
4.500cc 4500psi capable bottle with fill and guage adapter.
5.factory air cylinder with mount.
6.i will include the single shot tray at my ask price.

*I will cover shipping in the CONUS with tracking and insurance.

*Scope and rings and rear tripod not included,

>>>The price for the whole package is $420 shipped. I use PayPal, but we can work out what works for you.

Thanks for looking and you can text me if you like at 4846448432 if you need more info or pics,

Gerry

What are your thoughts on lead exposure?

The people with numbers after their names above are offering good information. If you're worried about the possibility of elevated blood lead levels, then get yourself tested and follow the recommended protocols for managing the problem.

Mine was considered as elevated for a long while because of (minimal) work exposure, PB reloading and lots of range time. It was never enough to be concerned about. I've met a few people that were near requiring chelation, but management forced them to get a handle on it. Hygiene is key. Wash up after shooting and you'll be fine.

Cheers,

J~

FX  Boss trigger

Ok, I've been a gunsmith for a long, long time, both powder burners and airguns. I've tuned, many hundreds of triggers over the years. ONE TRIGGER, ONE TRIGGER has been the bain of my existence. The Boss trigger.
I've tried before and didn't finish the task, to put one from parts in a Crown. I know how it goes together and how it is SUPPOSED to work, but could never get it done.

I'm restarting from scratch, so anyone who has any ideas, I'm going to put the Boss in my Crown.

Please let me know any ideas and help you can.
I'm new to the forum, not sure how to send a PM, so i'll ask you here. Can/will you do trigger work on an Umarex M29? The trigger pull is very heavy and i'd like to have it reduced.

Thanks.

RAW Rapid  Need Help - RAW Micro HM1000 - Acts like not regulated

Sounds like your logic is spot on,lube is good in the right amounts and the right places. I'm retired out of the aviation maintenance and learned the manufacturers are very specific on this as far as what type and where it is used, the idea if a little is good then a lot should be better is left for the 'other guys' who don't get it. I'm pleased you have got this figured out for your guns. Thank you for sharing, hopefully some one will read this and think, hey, that might be a problem they are having and don't realize it.. Bill

Skout  Epoch leaking from regulator when trying to fill

You mean 250 bar? The regulator is built to bleed off air, when you stop shooting the the bottle should be shut off to prevent air loss.
Yeah sorry bar.....I installed the new air valve cus the old one leaked , If I turn the valve of It drains all the air from the bottle so I just leave It open .

What are your thoughts on lead exposure?

As a Medical Technologist (Laboratory scientist) I have always been aware of an wary off any type of heavy metal poisoning. Not as much of a problem today, but early canned food used cans sealed with a lead/tin mixture that could very definitely cause lead poisoning.
Here is an interesting article with historical significance https://www.historytoday.com/archive/canned-food-sealed-icemens-fate
Those who handle lead with a white powder forming on it are also more likely to gain more exposure as this is a "salt" that if ingested can lead to lead poisoning and can be absorbed through the lungs.
The mention of lead in indoor facilities and the fact that lead dust is heavier than air is correct, however breathing in molecular lead leads to rapid exposure, and there will be some molecular lead when shooting cast lead bullets. About a two decades ago I switched to using either copper jacketed bullets with no exposed lead base, or to coated/plated bullets that have been shown to reduce lead when firing (also makes cleaning barrels much easier:).
It has been a very long time since I melted any lead for casting, but it is an excellent Idea to do so in very well ventilated area. Lead isn't the only heavy metal released when melting lead alloys, and most lead is an alloy of some type.
