New to air guns

Hello and welcome to the hole. The hookah smoking catapillar shoots a hatty.😃
You should maybe follow the AGN classifieds and be an active member by asking questions and responding etc. Then you will be much more informed about what you want and need and you will be dealing with the people who are also members.

You have found the best airgun forum. It's full of people who enjoy helping and are quite knowledgeable and friendly as well.

Hopefully you will enjoy the journey and don't get in a rush. There's a lot of fun to be had with setting and chasing lofty goals of high shot counts, excessive power and stacking accuracy.
Anyway welcome welcome welcome. Agnutty

HW/Weihrauch  I have my HW50 tuned great,at first I hated it because it did not perform the way people were bragging about it.

I knew it had a great trigger, but it was a rough firing,I had to put at least 1000pellets before it started to calm down.I then put a AH tune kit in it and it was the way it should have been, all good now...light accurate springer.Shooting JSB Exact heavy 10.34 good pellet for mine.
I got done shooting it and grabbed my R-9.20. Wow, so much heavier, I had some old gold can JSB Exact Match Diabolo 0.890gr. I was wondering why so light, anyhow my R-9 loved them .Shooting at 28 yds I was getting all touching, less than 1/2" about ten shoots....My thoughts are that the accuracy was because of the weight of the R-9. Solid, the .20 is a great caliber...I also have a AH tune kit in it.Bought it in 2008 btw The old cocking shoe broke and I installed the new one, they are so much better.
I've only had mine a couple weeks. Been shooting the 30s since last August. It sure is a lot more work like every has said. Now to make up my mind on a 95 or 97
Also mine is spot on open sights at 10-out to 15 meters. Got lucky maybe but the 30 was too. The FP AG rear sight by Williams works on both.

Official Thread - Alkin owners - check in!

@Skydivingmiami Personally I don’t care what it compares to. That might influence me to lust after another model. It works for me compared to making trips to the dive shop or using a direct fill portable compressor. Having an Alkin and air-hungry PCPs is like being a kid in an arcade with unlimited credits.
100%

I had the young heng... ehhh hard pass. Tried hand pumping. Nope... went all out. Happy I got clean dry air on tap. It's the best feeling.

Macavity Arms  Have A Macavity Arms MA2 PCP Air Rifle? You Must Read This!

I actually came over to post on AGN and see that someone already posted. Good!

For owners where your MaCavity seems to be working well, please just send it in. Trust me on this - I've seen the results of the failure this recall is about, and it can be lethal.

Air Venturi  Air Venturi Avenger Buck Rail Chassis

Your message reminded me about what it was I had to sand on. when I first installed it. I was using a longer screw for the trigger, and it ran into some plastic that was in the way. I had to file part of it off to let the trigger screw fit. It was either that or replace the screw that was in there, and that was a bigger PITA than I was willing to do. I never tried to adjust the trigger while it was in the Buck Rail stock, but I bet you're right in that you wouldn't be able to reach it without removing that stock. Granted, it's only one screw to take off, but that's one more screw than what you need for the original stock.

This recall is only for production versions with a regulator gauge. If you have a pre-production Genesis model, without a regulator gauge, your gun is fine and you don't have to do anything. This is coming straight from Macavity. I emailed them today and asked because I have the Genesis model.

It's a beast! Tops off a 98cuft tank from 3800psi to 4500psi in about 4 minutes. I was all worried about the oil then I realized by the time I get to 50 or 100hrs on this thing i might be dead by then. I don't shoot that much.

The one thing I will say is that I bought a crappy 220v plug on Amazon for $8. When I got it I realized it wasn't UL listed and was probably not a great thing to use. So if you get a compressor this nice get a nice plug to go with it! $97 for a plug was a lot but if something happens to the compressor and Alkin sees a $7 alibabba plug on it, i have a feeling the warranty is getting denied. :D

So far this thing is intense. It's way nicer than anything I ever thought i would have for this hobby.

I got the oil also. It's actually not that expensive when I think about the fact that my AV compressor oil was like 16$ a pint or something.
Looks awesome. I feel the same. Oil will last a longgg time once you do a couple oil changes. I've only done 1 and I still have half more than half a gallon left. It fills so fast compared to anything else on the market. Nothing compares to be honest.

i saw this post earlier and the first thing i did was look in the Blue Book and neither of the rifle was listed and then i when to Waffencenter in Germany and only one was listed
and that makes me wonder, were these bought back from Europe at some point and never imported
Yes I know these rifles are not found in the US but these 2 were sold in the US. No they are not from Europe. I have seen them sometimes at auctions in Canada as well.

Snowpeak  Artemis P15 5.5mm - location of hammer spring adjustment screw

Did you allow the trigger linkage to rotate?

Do you pull the trigger and get nothing?
Or a click

Thank you so much.
Barrel is 15mm see images. I put o rings on barrel and slid carbon tube over them. Carbon tube is 17mm inside by 19mm outside. Let me know if you need more info. Thank you

Maple Custom Products - 3D magazines

I just got my two magazines and single shot loader delivered today. Really great quality. They function perfectly in my .22 Ghost. They snap into place with a nice smooth audible click/stop. Each Pellet(s) are held nicely in place with tension from the o-ring(s) in the single shot loader and in the standard magazines.Magnets on the bottom of each magazine enable you to load the two mags together like the factory mags, and line up perfectly. The rifle probe works flawlessly to with them. Can’t wait to get outside to shoot with them. If the rain ever stops that is.
