Thomas Air  Damaged skirts, does it really matter?

I have noticed the same also due to the soft metal and high pressures, the pellet almost immediately gets reformed to the barrel diameter anyway. Unless it’s completely crushed, but then why are you nothing to shot it anyway, right? I really like that reforming skirt tool! I spend time sorting and weighing and would reform skirts for poops and giggles. Lol

DNT TNC225R troubles

Many Airguns have O-MOA rails as you may or may not know and with the height of the scope over bore it basically blows your elevation available in your scope away. It’s definitely a flaw in the design of some Airguns. I have seen some airguns where scopes are almost 3 plus inches above bore. Example Western Sidewinder Airguns. Without tons of MOA in your rings your scope elevation is toast.

EaZy Trigger Fill for PCPs

Hold up...
Did I read that right? Did they recommend to bleed it off after filling the gun? Do they mean bleed the whip between the tank and the EZ? If so, would that not defeat the purpose of the dang thing in the first place?
I must admit... I was one that got suckered into buying an original for $180. If I'm in that big of a hurry to refill the gun and continue shooting I'll just leave the tank tethered. :censored:
As for wasting air... that's why I own compressors. ;)

Maybe I should offer mine up in the classifieds.

New to air guns

Huben k1 and caliber of your choice. Best compressor you can afford. Lots of pellets and have fun.
Yes, what he said! Huben, best semi-airgun on the market by far and accurate with good US based support Imho. Buy through Krazycool Airguns because Kelly is an awesome guy and the prices are good. Western sidewinders/Rattlers are the other option right now for semi auto, but come up for sale used a lot, let you day dream reasons why. Hubens rarely do come for sale.

Taipan is coming out with a semi auto called the Slash. It’s hitting the market as I type. However it’s unproven as of yet on accuracy, reliability and repairs. However, the non semi auto versions have a huge fan base and have been extremely loved and are very good Airguns. Food for thought.

Oh and nothing is for fee. PCP fun comes with the cost of AIR. Must have an air source First. A popular small compressor guys are using with success right now is the GX-CS4 or the cheaper GX-CS3, both can be found on Amazon direct from manufacturer with pretty good coupons. Invest in a reusable source now before $1000s on a PCP and factor that in with your first Airgun because it won’t be your last in the hobby.

JTS  Anyone having a moderator clipping problem on Airacuda Max .30 ?

I modified a DonnyFl Sumo moderator by drilling out the bore to 10mm , instead of the 9mm ffactory . No trace of clipping , noise is reduced to a +/- correct level , but accuracy is not that good . So I suspect turbulences at the exit of the moderator . If this is the case a DonnyFl Fat boy with an air stripper / muzzle brake could maybe fix the problem .

N/A  GK1 slow leak

The smaller the pressure vessel, the more aaparrent thermal changes tend to become. Let it settle and watch it for a week. If it stays where it settled you have your scientific conclusion.
I filled my Gk1 to 32 mpa and let it sit for four days it leaked to 28 mpa. I did the same thing with my other Gk1, it has held at 32mpa. I checked the brass screw underneath the loading gate and there doesn’t appear to be leaking there. Where else should I check?

GX-E-5K1 Compressor issues

You know something we are all seeing today. Lack of parts? I have 3 compressors down. Waiting on parts.
i,m a hot & cold shooter. In the winter I do not shoot much. Even in the summer not that much as others do.
i use to, but today I have many other interest. but in saying that, I can not imagine if I shot as much as some
on the form. Is the cheap compressor market keeping new people from hanging with this hobby. We shall
see. 🪰 Fly

Kral arms shadow regulator air leaking

The regulator is between the bottle and the rifle. You need to remove the bottle. turn clockwise to reduce or anti clockwise to increase.
Only 1/8 of a turn at a time. Re-assemble, refill and test. See page 26 of the manual.
Spilt it where the yellow arrow points. The reg adjustment screw is inside.
Mine was leaking by the small hole and I had to replace all the o-rings inside the reg.

EaZy Trigger Fill for PCPs

if it was me ..i'd save the 30 and put it towards a micro-bore whip
I wouldn't repair it..don't think it is worth it.
Mike

All my fill whips are Microbore. Have two 39” hoses from Joe B and/or AoA. Air Tanks Plus makes custom lengths up to six feet if needed. All are high quality and pricey, which I don’t mind because it’s HPA.

For my range set up, I need the longer hoses from the shooting bench. Without the eZaY fill trigger, and topping off my guns 8-10 times on average, bleeding the tank that much wastes a lot of air. Both Ed (epg) and I marvel at how much air is saved by using this thing ‘when’ it works. I know because my intervals of having to go to my Dive Shop are longer now using the eZaY.

I agree with others that quality can be much better, especially for $150. I do see your point if I could use a 12” hose, but I need 36-39” at the range. My tank stands up beside my bench.

If it breaks again, I’ll say ‘Uncle’ and put the next $30 towards my 1st new compressor.

N/A  1966 CZ Slavia 620 & 624 brand new

okay
so, if the rifle were sold in any numbers say in the 1960's i would have thought the Blue Book would have them in it
my point about Europe was someone bought them back, say a military man or woman
it really doesn't matter most of the Slavia's are very similar till the 634 came along
Here you will probably find a lot of new things for yourself.

Mine was purchased in Canada, but too long ago to recall the circumstances. It was probably a gift from my father 65-odd years ago.

"compressor"? I suspect a translation issue as I don't understand the term "compressor" as applied to a spring gun.

Could it be what we call the cylinder, the tube in which the piston acts?

Apologies if this appears to be impolite as that is not my intention.

Thank-you for the information.
No, it's not a translation problem, the forum is international, in many countries this tube is called a compressor, it would probably be correct to call it a pump, but it was not my idea to call it a compressor . Sorry.

Yes I know these rifles are not found in the US but these 2 were sold in the US. No they are not from Europe. I have seen them sometimes at auctions in Canada as well.

The Slavia 624 has a two-inch longer barrel and an inch longer stock. The compressor and piston is the same as the 618.

Huben  Does Huben GK1 hold pressure well?

Not mine. I have problems with it since I bought it. It was brand new, out of the box...with a leak. Sent it back for a repair. Under warranty, free of charge. Was good for a while, but leaks again. Small leak, but still. 300bar to 260 in weeks.
And before you think I used it a lot. No. 1+ year passed. I shot maybe 5 magazines. A dust collector.
Then, I bought an AEA Megalodon. I have it almost a year now. Same sh*t! Leaks from the get go. And I shot only one magazine! Changed a couple of things in it. Still leaks. Way faster than the GK1.

Basically these two, totally killed my enthusiasm for any PCP airguns. Not happy. :(

Official Thread - Alkin owners - check in!

Yea, I have had mine for about a year, Only have about 3 hours on the Alkin, I fill up three great white tanks and a few small tanks when I do my filling so it last a while , I may do a oil change soon just to get the factory oil out , I got my Alkin set to fill to 4800 psi , It seems the tanks last a lot longer with a little extra 300 psi,
Mike
