So I am trying to find out if anyone knows what size o - rings are in the standard Airforce Texan 457? Any information is greatly appreciated. What I'm trying to do is replace the Airforce standard o - rings with green helium rated o - rings so I can shoot dry air , nitrogen gas as well as helium when I want that extra power when deer hunting for flatter shooting slugs at longer distances and obviously more fpe. Yeah I know I could get the T - Rex in 457 and that's the plan but for now helium will do the job if I can figure the size the o - rings are in the standard Texan long air rifle 457. I finally got my hand’s on the Holy Grail.…after 6 months of searching…The Crosman 600..like new in the Box

.. paid a hefty some of $250…it was the missing piece in my collection…I rolled out the red carpet for this piece…I think the person sold this cuz the action was jammed with a pellet ..once removed… it was magical…it held air..loaded it with 10 pellets.. I aimed at 10 meters down range and let the big dog bark..quick fire

..people saying they are not that accurate…I disagree with them…this gun has much better balance than the MK1/2…I would say better than all my pistols

Also if searched for here on the forums at AGN or on youtube there is an absolute plethora of information of what I was referring to above on how to tune it in any way you wish . It would benefit you as there is a lot to take in to account lol . We do understand if you are new to it as all of us were the same way at some time.

Heck some of the people here are so helpful and willing to share their knowledge it is not even funny haha .

A lil research or added information on what you are wanting to do would go along way . I hope this did not come across in a poor manor and welcome to the rabbit Hole haha .

I want accuracy and shot count.

I totally agree that-

as long as it was described with full disclosure, there were no hidden bugs, so all was good.

However the Sheridan I'm reporting ISN'T described with full disclosure. So someone will likely get burned.

Good on you for disclosing the condition of the Sheridan you sold at a loss Mike, and glad you were good with buying a broken Sheridan. Did you know it was broken when you bought it?

So what I found out is to shoot helium the o - rings must be changed from the standard Texan o - rings to green helium rated o - rings. Is there anyone here that knows what size o - rings that are in the standard Texan 457?

Definitely replace both, and use silicone grease or other lubricant on the seat's O ring. It required a firm push to seat my valve seat.

In my youth I was into PT (25m) for a while. Usually out of 100+ different rifles the first places were taken by either AA200TX or HW97. Just a fact, although I do not own and do not plan to buy any rifles with a Underlever.

Unfortunately USPS really did lose my package for an FX .25 barrel. In the meantime while waiting I test fit a scope to see what kind of room I had. Trying to keep the scope as low as possible. I know the buck rail stock sits a bit lower than the stock one and trying to avoid needing an adjustable cheek piece. With 1.1" centerline mounts the scope barely clears the magazine. I modified the sight rail even more to be able to clear a 30mm tube with a 50mm objective lens on the actual scope I plan to use. I have contacted C88 and acquiring the 100mm barrel extension and hardware to run a .22mm 600mm fx barrel instead of the .25. While doing my homework and building this thing I feel like its just not going to have enough to get the good .25 pellets running at a decent speed. See how it goes.
