177 Hades any one having any luck?

Off the top of my head, that stupid design on the nose is going to produce some turbulence if you get it spinning fast enough. If it isn't perfectly centered, the pellet will wobble or spiral. Put the two together, and you're likely to see accuracy fall off a cliff randomly each shot beyond a certain range. I gather most folks who are happy with them aren't shooting beyond 25 yards.
I've shot them accurately out to 80yds in .25 and 120yds in .30.

Yesterday I tested in .177 going 970 as that's what my krait it shooting 19gr slugs at and it was shooting single hole groups at 28yds. Mind you that as after putting about 12 shots through the barrel since I hadn't cleaned it.

What did you do airgun related today.

Yessir, I got 2 Air sabers, and at16 pistol, 2 aea rifles, 2 air force rifles, a bullshark and a U2 compact that I am also working on. Got a few more guns coming in today to work on as well. I squeeze it in when I'm not slaying iguanas

Trial By Fire....

Has anyone tried these gimmicky looking pellets/slugs yet? I ran across them online and was intrigued by them. They are a little too long to fit any of my mags so I single loaded a few of them. Can't remember which rifle I used but I think it was my Crown Mkii. Started to rain as I tried to gather data on them so no numbers or group sizing yet. Seems like rain in the forecast here for the next few days as well. Guess we will have to wait and see......View attachment 563534View attachment 563533

Lead Wire for swaging slugs / pellets

Don't want to bash either one here.....but taking an NSA slug and a Corbin slug, that I swaged, the Corbin slug is much often and easier to get into a tight bore.

To me I have seen that the Corbin lead is much softer than NSA. NOW..... I haven't used any of the NSA lead wire to swage my own slugs in the S-Press. Mainly because if anything is different I don't want to damage the press. So I have been using the boxed slugs from NSA.

WRABF World Cup Finland 2025

The WRABF World Cup Airgun Competition has ended. Unfortunately, the Iranian team was not present in the competition due to the lack of visas. This was a very sad matter, but I personally followed the competition until the last moments through communication with my friends in the range.
Yesterday was the 50m Unlimited competition, for which our team was very prepared, I expected much higher results from our competitors, especially the US team.
The Italian team, although they were not present with all their members, have always been a surprise at the WRABF competitions. A month ago, when I talked to Giovanni about whether you are shooting with the Thomas rifle this year, he was not satisfied with the results obtained with the slug! As a result, he was thinking of a replacement rifle! But the Panthera they used yesterday was not a factory rifle and was used in the competition field with optimizations on it, the details of which I do not know in completely.
Mike did not perform well in the third card, although I expected more from him and the American team in the first and second cards. There must have been reasons that Mike will explain.
I hope to have the opportunity to compete with my friends again in the 2027 World Championship. Here are some of my teammates' training that they did on the 50m practice day during the world cup 2025 in windy conditions.

Awesome cards, that's some tight shooting!

The Real Science of Airgun Suppressor Selection

I've got a selection of Donnys and a couple higher power guns. The yoko is a miracle worker for my 22 700mm 75fpe no shroud impact. It's a click

I buy a yoko for my 43 fpe dreamline 25 380mm(after trying a Ryu) and it's quieter in a way and noisier in a way than the winner that was on the dreamline. The donny fx licensed smaller mod has the best results and I can't explain why. It's a "thumpy poof" with no pellet ping/squeal. Yoko has no poof but it's got a bit more metallic note to it even though it's much higher tech in design. No it isn't the mod ringing, but each one moderates a different sound quality.

The ronin is the largest, and loudest on both guns, but it really brought my semi auto aea in check.

For a marauder or some crosmans, my home brew plastic lathe creations were quieter than my Donnys. Much lower tech baffles and cheap materials but they suited the cheap guns they went on.

It's a wild world in how moderators work on different airguns. The design and build quality on the yoko and Ryu is straight machinist smut. They're things of pure beauty to me and worth every penny just to enjoy the design and machine operations that went into them.

Well done donny, well done.
The thumpy poof! That is our goal when we are testing and sometimes we call it the dull thud. You hit the nail on the head about the tone and it is an interesting phenomenon we see in our testing and hear from our users. One thing no one ever talks about is the resonance of the suppressor can itself. The length and diameter and materials used in an airgun suppressor all contribute to the sound profile of an airgun suppressor to specific airgun combination.

The Real Science of Airgun Suppressor Selection

You pretty much hit the main points.
As a consumer, I believe education would help one make decisions based on all those variables you mentioned.
Perhaps you can provide "tune specific" iterations, or kits as accessories to modify existing models to match current tunes.
For example, I just acquired a .25 GK1 and even your Shogun did not moderate it enough for my back yard. However, once I tuned it (WAY down), the Tatsu worked great.
So, education for the masses, available iterations, and hardware to accommodate needs.
Thanks for communicating!
Thank you for the feedback and your experience with the GK1. Suppressing a .25 cal in an air pistol format is a bit more challenging than a .177 or .22 for sure. The GK1 presents even more challenges with the massive amount of power that it has. One of the coolest things though from a shot report supression perspective about the GK1 is the lack of hammer noise to deal with because there is no hammer. The sound you get is purely the expanding air shot report sound and at over 60 FPE in a .25 cal pistol, that is a lot of PEW! to tame. That is why we like using the GK1 to test our DonnyFL suppressors to analyze the sound reduction without the hammer slap variable. In the DonnyFL 1.22 inch diameter options which asthetically look the best with airgun pistols, the Tanto - Koi - and Ryu are our top reccomendations. The 1.22 diameter allows you to still use the fiber optic sight on the GK1 as well. The Ryu typically is our go-to recommendation if you are running the .25 cal at the high end of a power tune whereas the GK1 in .22 in medium to lower power tunes can go with a Tanto or Koi fro great sound reduction without the bulk of a larger OD suppressor.

The Real Science of Airgun Suppressor Selection

I wonder if there's a way to roughly corellate air noise to fpe, to ballpark consumers into a selection of models? I know caliber plays a role, but it doesn't have to be overly complicated.
You are spot on. The higher the power tune, the louder the airgun shot report will be. Some of the other factors also include the valve design of the given airgun in question. If you have ever seen the internals for a .72 cal AEA Zues for example, vs. an Air Arms S510 .177 cal the difference of the size of compoenents and mechanical design are signficicant. The sound of the massive spring and hammer slap in the .72 cal is quite loud as compared to the .177 due to the force needed to open the valve. The sound of the expanding air released at the muzzle is only part of the sound profile of each particular airgun. The massive amount of air released in a big bore airgun is significant which is why we came out with a larger expansion chamber for the DonnyFL Zuess that helps quiet down the shot report at the muzzle. Quieting down the mechanical valve noise though is something an airgun supressor can't do.

🥳 Are you celebrating your airgun ANNIVERSARY? 🥳

Started with a .177 Slavia 618 break-barrel as a kid in the mid 60's and then graduated to my father's .22 Crosman 101 multi-pump. Still have and shoot both of them.

Did a lot of gunsmithing for friends and owned/traded a bunch of .177 springers before taking the typical hiatus to rimfires, shotguns and centerfires.

Missed airguns so I invested $200 (a ridiculous amount of money back in '82) for a Feinwerkbau 124. While researching how to replace the FWB 124 piston (about 15 years ago) I stumbled into the rabbit hole of modern airguns. 🤪

Curiosity has lead me to try many popular airguns and I have 25-plus in the cabinets.

I'm NOT addicted to airguns - I can quit any time! 🙄 I have to admit that I've already called "last gun" four times, ...the FX Leopard on order IS THE LAST ONE (I think) 🤑

I've been a member of AGN for 10 years now. Though it's turned out to be expensive, but I can't think of a better place to relax and spend time. 🙂

Cheers!

AEA  First Big bore

Kinda what I was thinking was the case. I really like the way AEA guns look astatically and appear to be well constructed even though I have never laid hands on one... So many of these I see just look really fragile. I am sure it is just looks. But I tend to be hard on equipment or like stuff I don't have to worry about a banging around. Living out on a Ranch in west Texas, my rigs are considered more tools than range toys (most of them anyway). Banging around in a buggy on rough terrain is a daily occurrence out here and I like stuff to be rigid..

I am not really a fan of the the rigs that look like they came out of a Sci-fi movie. Kinda why I am having a hard time getting behind the airforce texans. Goofy looking things IMO. But I have yet to see any bad reviews on them so I guess I will have to get on board.

Thanks for the input.

Daystate  Delta Wolf - Why isn't it more popular?

I loved my custom compact delta wolf. The only real downs I have found with a regular delta wolf are this, small expensive mags, front heavy with the chrono, in advanced mode the chrono is useless, high dollar rifle that is not a slugger unless custom, and needs more factory tunes with so much ammo on the market. They are amazing rifles all the same though.they are also kinda heavy to carry around.

FX  DRS Tactical tunes?

i moved the reg up to 100 and are no getting almost 4 magazines. Here is a ten shot string of 21g Javelins. Spread of 7 and deviation of 2.1
im going to bump everything up tho and use it primarily for the 26g javelins. So I will update on that as well

did you add tungstem hammer spring in order to acchive that power cuz factory spring wont make more power after 130 bar reg
