Thoughts on buying used?

Its always a crap shoot. New or used really but used you have no recourse. If your ok with that for the discount, then go for it. Its gambling essentially. Doesn't matter the seller. Theres a number of people who take less care in packaging than others, and you don't know the person to know how they care for their things. Ive had stuff both ways good and bad. My last one was $1,800 and Im not happy with it as its different than what I was sold and told it would do. Most on here are decent people and sellers that package their stuff good.
Yea, I’ve been looking here. I get that it’s a gamble either way, but I’d have a really tough time being burned like that which is also why I went with the company. Have you or anyone had experiences with what you’re talking about where the seller here made it right or took it back? Or is it pretty much sol?

Daystate  Delta Wolf - Why isn't it more popular?

After all the pluses/minuses, I still like my Delta Wolf. The thing that irked me the most about Daystate’s follow through was that the Delta Wolf was originally sold as having Bluetooth connectivity, which should have led to some interesting apps to work with it. That never happened and no more mention of that capability.

A simple iPhone/Android app that recorded all shot velocities/averages/SD would have been a good start. Very helpful for tuning. It could have also recorded the plenum pressure for each of this shots. Currently you need to write down each shot to have a record of shot strings.

Tuning  FX Impact Mk2/M3 - slower first shot - no reg creep - quasi-scientific analysis

Agree!

They must have had a lot of these parts left over, because it clearly had to be a solution or at least an improvement on the current part.

Hopefully with the M5, they will go back to the original design with a nut, as you already suggested.

Also, the plastic bushing they press into it makes it very difficult to replace that o-ring.

Lead Wire for swaging slugs / pellets

Yeah I agree.

Though talking with Corbin, I will stick with their lead. Don't want ro change it, epically at the price.

If their, NSA, swaging lead is the lead they are using in the production lead.....it isn't pure lead. There has to be something else in it as it is much harder than the 100% pure lead from Corbin, and other manufacturers for bullet casting.

Other  Gentle Shot Cycle

I think many things can contribute. Power is a good example. Of course a low power gun is going to be easier to shoot consistently. However when you get to equal power levels some guns do seem just easier to shoot consistently. I don’t really know why. That aspect may not even be true for everyone. Someone else might find a different gun easier to shoot. My example would be my wildcat BT and delta wolf in 30 cal set to same power level 80 ft/lbs or so. The DW will shoot moa at 50, entirely capable but I find I must do my part diligently. The FX just seems more forgiving. I pull fewer shots with the FX than I do with the daystate. No idea why? The FX fits me better 🤷‍♂️. I kind of have a crazy theory that doesn’t make sense but I also swear wind effects pellets out of the daystate barrels more. I know 🤷‍♂️. Just what it seems to me.
It may be due to barrel internal profile

Daystate  New Daystate Alphawolf Owner With Some Questions

Hello All! New to the PCP world, just picked up my first from Airguns of Arizona. It’s a Daystate Alpha Wolf HP .30 with 23” barrel. Currently shooting the JSB Diabolo Exact 50.15gr pellets. Trying to figure out regulator pressure. There is a factory setting for this grain pellet and it sets the regulator pressure to 195/196. With a full tank at 240 Bar, I can only shoot a couple of mags before it drops below the regulator setting and gives me the low pressure warning. Curious if there is a better tune or regulator setting that is lower so I can get more shots out of the tank. Please forgive my ignorance as I am still learning about all of this but figured I’d reach out and see if anybody can share some of their knowledge/experience. This gun is amazing and I’m excited to see what it can really do as I learn!

Thoughts on buying used?

Hi all, I’ve recently been bit by the bug and have been going down the rabbit hole a bit. First I got a 1322, started adding stuff… last week my Notos showed up and man it was awesome. Well it had an air leak in it which seems to be contagious. I’m still very much sold on the notos and have some high cap mags on the way from maple, but the luster of buying new is a bit lost. A return has been started and I still have to pack it up and drop it off to Pyramid who have been really great customer service-wise, but in that time I’ve also seen a couple sweet modded setups for sale. My thought process originally was that since it’s my first, I don’t want any issues that I didn’t cause by modding myself and wanted something dependable out of the box to tune to my liking as noise is my primary concern. I also have a hard time stomaching how much people spend on said mods and don’t know that I can bring myself there, but have seen some sweet setups with work already done and a decent discount built in that are tempting me. What’s everyone’s experience and thoughts on buying used vs new especially starting out? I know for some other hobbies I took this same approach and have had mixed feelings later on. Some I look back and think man I should have just cut the line and bought used, others I think i’m really glad I started off slow and learned. I still have time to change my mind but I’m seriously considering turning my exchange into a return and waiting 10 days until I can reach out here and going that route. Set me straight, thanks everyone.

Trial By Fire....

THANK YOU for the link.
Buying several tins, on tin each, of which I probably won't shoot more than 20 pellets really did not appeal to me.

But buying a sampler is great! 👍🏼

So, I already ordered one!

What's with the Slug Speed fetish lately?

I try to keep the Time Of Flight to a minimum.
When hunting up to 200 yards it does make a difference. Sure, I would go farther but things are still in process. Like, waiting for a Vulcan 3 HP Huma reg.
But yeah, shooting heavy slugs at slow speed it feels like you could go get lunch while waiting for the impact.

Air Venturi  Avenge-X Tactical Carbine Leak - I’ve exhausted all attempts!!

Just best to replace all the orings so you know its good to go. I had to on 3 units. The OEM orings are not good and harden and flatten out causing leaks right away. Just replace them. Amazing gun for the money and better with some regular orings in them. Doesn't take long and not difficult.

Diana  Springer Shooting Technique

When I bought my first serious airgun in 1984 the owner of the shop told me how to shoot it. He warned me not to tuck it into your shoulder like a firearm. Hold it lightly to your shoulder and cradle the forearm in your palm. Like any gun, gently squeeze the trigger until it fires. Let the gun recoil... he called it the howitzer hold, I've been shooting my springers that way ever since... it's second nature now.

Chit! First for me,my Marauder gently fell on my rug,

Or drill a new gage hole in thw Boyds. I think the synthetic stock even has the boss in it already.
Yes new ones are now, but only the stocks that were made for the past five years I think it is now? The synthetic stock was updated during the SAM project. Any GEN 2 stock older than that will definitely have a single hole and even some a year after will as well from depleting inventory.

FWB  Does the FWB 124 have a Walnut stock?

I see nothing inaccurate about what Motorhead stated. If you read closely, his post says that low numbers of 124/127 Deluxe models were produced by FWB in walnut, which is correct. In his first sentence he only states that the Factory Walnuts were not "mass produced".
Many of those factory walnuts ended up in the US market and some in the European market.
Oh, SORRY! I read quickly during a break and REACTED. Bless you all!
I think the Beeman walnut was 1983? And a $50 upcharge?
Back to work!
I'm slacking

All New “ACE” Precision Slugs -

I just received mine today. Shot them out of my Impact with a 700mm barrel, right around 960fps. They are under MOA at 100 yards. Also shot it out of my 600mm Dynamic, around 945fps. Also under MOA at 100 yards. This was without tuning either gun. Just wanted to see what they would do, I didn't have a lot of time. These look like they will be awesome!!
