The 50 M pellet trap have now been fitted with pellet,,,,, and slug stopping powers.
I then put up a BR50M ( M as in Meters CUZ i use these yard papers on Meter distances ) paper and hit it "hard" with 13 grain slugs, and then after that i changed to 10 grain slugs and carried on hitting it, shooting at least 20 shots at the same " hole " to verify stopping powers, and the semi tire seem to hold up fine so far.
But i metal absolutely stop will probably be added soon, we will soon go metal shopping.

The BR50M paper hung sideways up CUZ this just a prelim test, the target holding contraption have not yet been installed.

Really i am no good at these BR fiddy papers, i will try them again later in the week shooting my pellet pushing Maverick instead.

Umarex  Exciting NEW Walther PPK/S now being made But....

I was able to get the Umarex/Walther/PPK/s GBB delivered to the USA!

I kept looking at the many videos on YouTube of this wonderful replica pistol and found myself DROOLING on my laptop! After trying to get answers from Umarex, both USA and Germany on future availability that led nowhere, I decided to take another tack.

I asked Google: "Can you order and have delivered to the USA the new PPK/S GBB by VFC for Umarex" They came back with "YES via Swit Airsoft or RedWolf Airsoft" the latter is from Hong Kong, the former from Taiwan. Pricing not cheap but worth it at $180, and then go with UPS shipping which gets it to you quicker, and customs arrangements are covered.

REVIEW: This pistol was worth it, and as a very experienced airpistol hobbyist, (I own 15) it is now defiintely my best, just edging out the Umarex Smith and Wesson model 29 bb series revolvers. I am very familiar with the real PPK/S and this replica is virtually identical in all dimensions except the beaver tail is smaller, like a 1960's Bond type. It has double action, great feel and balance, the green gas mag is in scale to a .380 mag, and the working safety is nice, although it does not go all the way to the right when putting it on safe, not quite covering the red dot FIRE icon. It does do its job well though. This is my first Green Gas pistol so bear with me on this aspect of the gun. It has plenty of POP after just filling it with gas but I notice the gas seems to bleed off over night. I got a 3 way GG tool from the big A and tightned up the valves on the clip but it still seeems to bleed off. BUT it's easy to gas it up again- like you would gas up a lighter with butane. I feel less worry about wasting a CO2 cartridge for obvious reasons. Power is not great but it's plenty for plinking, which is the mainstay of airsoft. The field stripping is complete and fun! It has an adjustment for raising or lowering the barrel which I have not changed as it has been accurate so far.

My only beef is that there is not a notch stay to hold back the feed spring of the mag as you load the 6mm airsoft bbs. They do give you a nice little peice to put into the clip so that you can continue to shoot without bbs without it jamming the slide in the way back position- both of which work well. At first I thought the gun was powder coated but now I think after about a month wear marks are in the very good paint job.

There is no federally mandated language or symbols on the pistol, only authentic Walther logos and serial numbers- perhaps a reason they can't be readily imported yet??

Absolutely love this gun! Highly recommended.

Yours,

Bluemill

The Real Science of Airgun Suppressor Selection

Gentlemen, there has been no revision to the AGN prohibition on discussion of Moderator design and construction. Simply put, Don't go there, amigo.

Moderator use and effectiveness of moderators both are permitted for discussion topics.

For those that missed the warning I posted a few hours ago.. here it is again.

Testing JSB 13.43g Knockouts @ different velocities 53yards

Programmed new settings for Low Med and High on the Pulsar HP .177 and testing it on the 13.43g JSB Knockouts @ 56 yards, pretty good results but I think the "TAKE AIM" slugs, at least in 15g may still do better, had some samples before and gonna have to order more once I burn through a couple more tins I have of these Knockouts.

Nice documentation and very promising on medium power. Thanks for taking the time to post this, it will give prospective knockout buyers a target velocity to explore.

Diana  Please suggest a scope for Diana Bandit

1 3/4” @ 50 is better than Ihad imagined!! So at 30 yards I should be able to take a squirrel out easily?
Keep me posted and have fun with your granddaughter!
750 is a Notos variant btw. If youre already used to shooting those distances then it should be no problem.
Thanks for the confirmation.

I joke with my granddaughters that shooting is a good skill and that a restraining order is only a piece of paper.

Thoughts on buying used?

I bought a used Cricket 10 years ago that gave me trouble but since then I’ve bought a bunch of guns that have been great. The most problematic gun I’ve ever owned I bought new, I won’t say what brand it was but Ted sure speaks highly of it. I have no problem buying a used gun, my next one will be used.
Matador?

Snowpeak  artemis p15

Thanks for the link. I measured the spare Maple poppet I have. It is 41.26 overall, plastic and attached stainless pin. The plastic head is 8.6mm long spread about equally between the smaller part that goes in the spring and the bigger part that seals. The diameter of the small part is 5.55mm, the big part is 7.82mm in diameter. The shaft is just under 3mm. You can fix other things but if the shaft is not 3mm it won't work.

Main Hunting Gun

I've started using all my AGs as main hunting guns. Except for Turkey (shotgun) and deer, which I haven't hunted in a while. But coyotes, squirrels ,etc all get pellet lead at my place. Just quieter, cheaper and just as efficient. and even though I live in the country, I still don't have to worry about a 22lr or anything that might go long distance

What did you do airgun related today.

Was shooting groups this evening being mindful of the fawns running around when I heard a warning stomp behind me. One of the local does (Maggie) was spooked by something by the garden.

Thinking it might be someone poking around went to check.

The funny thing was that Maggie, who usually likes to keep a 20 foot minimum distance, ran over to hide behind me - close enough to touch!

The deer feel secure on my property and they are comfortable around me, seems that they trust that I will defend them as well. Guess that they are right about that.

Cheers!

Help with Benjamin Marauder Tuning

I think you are probably pretty close to average with 20 shots at your power level and ES. Maybe with some more chrono time and tuning adjustments you can get shot count up a little. There were a few differences between the Gen 1 and Gen 2 Mrods but didn’t think the changes they made affected the tuning or power levels, but could be wrong. About 5 years ago I set up my unregulated .22 Gen 2 Mrod for Field Target Competition and got 25 shots at just under 20 ft lbs with an ES of 10, from 2350 to 1900 psi, using JSB 15.89 pellets. My adjustments were TP: 1.5, HS: 3.25, and HT: 7.75.

I primarily used the “A” team Marauder Tuning guide and used Method #1. Here is the link to the guide: https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/library/A_Team_PCP_Tuning_Procedures 20090601.pdf

A couple years ago I converted that same .22 Mrod to a .177. and added a SSG kit from Airgun Revisions. It really helped with shot count. Here’s the link: https://www.airgunrevisions.com/product/tuned-ssg-hammer-kit-for-gen12-marauders/

Thank you for posting the link to the "A" team Marauder tuning guide. I've been looking for information on how to better tune my Marauder, and that guide provides the best explanation I have read so far.

FX No Limit Rings

That is great. They look to be well made, especially for the price. I just ordered a set to try out. Thanks for the update, and for pointing them out in your earlier posts.
Anytime! I love quality, especially yeah, I don't think one being spoiled by it, but not everything that's quality is expensive. Every single pair of these rings I have bought have always worked right out the box. No need for anything. Never returned, always worked as it should, and it's always outperformed the seventy dollar rings that FX sells
