Airgun Technologies  Uragan 2 valve housing

Resurrection.

Is this correct?

Looks about right to me... I ended up ordering a new block as it looks like the culprit may be a slight machining deformation on the valve seat (in my rifle), which impacts on the valve in a non-uniform manner, eventually leading to failure. On my third valve right now, 3-4000 shots in.

AirForce Launches Exclusive Condor Slug Barrel Rifles in .22 & .25 Caliber

looking in Walthers site the only. 22 airgun barrel un- choked and the length AirForce is putting in the Slug-dor is 1-20" twist.
Not that they couldn't have ordered a special run of 1-16 with rimfire bore dimensions. I'd love that!

Edit on the Eagle claw velocity statement above.I just took it out. Velocity is 840 fps with the peanut. Don't know what I was thinking originally. Considering not being a slug gun , it's really not a bad shooter with Is that slow twist ans this short cast bullet.

It better not be a 1:20.
The 1:17.7 23.5” lapped out choke seems to do best with 28-32-34g max.
Really need a 1:16 or 1:14 for 40 grain RBT Griffin slugs

Pellet testing on pests?

Even though this is about pellet testing, I'm posting this in the Hunting Forum, because it involves pest shooting.

I think we can all agree that no matter what substitute media you use to test pellet performance, it's still just not the same as hitting rats, or chipmunks, etc. So I had the thought of using the chipmunks that I get, and propping them up in front of a pile of soft cloths, or something else that could capture a pellet after a pass through, without further damage to the pellet, so I can see what they actually do when hitting a pest. Maybe even using Play Doh to see how much deeper they would penetrate on a larger pest.

... or have I been watching too many zombie movies?

My RAW HM1000X .25 took gold in Oregon this weekend!

Hi, I have the RAW1000x also in 25cal. You said you are shooting slugs but you did not say what you had to do as far as barrel? I would like to shoot slugs with mine but my trials so far have not been going well.My gun shoots the AEA CenterPunch 33.9 very well but the same weight slug just won't make paper...?? I'm in Oregon.
Thanks
Bill

Huben  .30 cal Huben GK1 standard and shorty pistols are available for preorder from gogun.co

I have no need for a 30, but I am 100% sure that puppy will be packing some power,, WOW, My 25 caliber shorty is just over the edge in power , Shooting GTO pellets I can go from 1,300 FPS to 600 FPS in just a few turns of the power knob, I keep mime tuned to 600 FPS just for the shoot count and I don't shoot past 30 -35 yards with my pistols , Grackles, sparrows and Euro doves are about the only kills I have made with the GKl 25 caliber shooting the GTO pellets , Red dot installed and its been a huge learning curve shooting with a red dot but I think I am getting the hang of it.

Tuning  FX Impact Mk2/M3 - slower first shot - no reg creep - quasi-scientific analysis

I'm glad someone brought this up, because it was also part of the reason for the drawing, to show how much material has been removed.

You can see that, in the best case scenario, it is as thick as the cylinder wall at its thinnest point, where one of the outer o-rings is located.
However, in order to withstand the same pressure as the cylinder wall, a flat top or bottom should be at least three times as thick, which is not the case here at all.

They should have only removed the conical portion.
Then the bushing would have made sense too.

Air Arms  AA S510 AIR LEAK

Why I query the Oring composition, RTI Arms has 3 Orings at NBR90, the rest NBR70.
300bar bottle, up to 180bar past the Reg.
It’s all to do with the groove/squish design.

Just a question in case there has been further advice in this regard.

First string testing he rifle on the 5 powers.
For a low powered rifle the flexibility is excellent for pesting both in and outside buildings.
Using JSB Jumbo Heavy .22.
Comparing the figures against HW100S at 7ft/lb, and HW100T at 27ft/lb, it gives me greater options for pellets and distances. It also shoots NSA 17.5gr slugs very well.
When I get it sorted I’ll be able to get some more tests done.

Crossman f4

What are you guys using for a backstop behind your targets when shooting your F4? I just bought one yesterday and have shot it once. I taped a piece of paper to a heavy duty collapsed card board box. I put a foam 1/2" 2 x 2 square exercise mat behind it and hung them on a shelf in my basement, on the shelf was a package of 1 dozen rubberized knit nylon mechanics gloves.
I took my first shot about 25 feet away from the target shooting a daisy pointed pellet. I hit the target eventho I couldn't hold the gun very steady. I went to see how deep it went through the cardboard, and the pellet went right through it, through the high density foam floor mat, and through 6 pairs of gloves. I bought hoping it would kill a squirrel. HFS! I'm blown away by how much power it has.

30-Yard Challenge

My new highscore:cool: 197/200 - 9x's

Hoping I can get to a 200 by the end of the year:giggle: Still figuring out my best position at the moment. I shoot semi-bench, with a bipod up front and my rear hand supporting the buttstock.
