Air Gun Technology Uragan 3 Shooting Pellets And Slugs

Do you have the specs on the Urgan 3 compact version?
Wondering what the weight of the gun is, and how much power we can achieve with the 400mm barrel on both .22 and .25;
Also if the configuration is slug/ pellet friendly
I do not, but Tony might. Give him a call over at Talon Airguns.

Airgun Technologies  Uragan 3 slugs and pellets same tune - Have you ever tried one? Wow!

If you like h&n try the 36gr HPII’s. Zan 37gr are my everyday go to hunting round. Both (.250) are capable of 3/4” groups at the distance you are shooting. Mind you, 4 out of 5 of our Uragan 2’s and 3’s were tuned by Derrick Wall with an ES of 10 or less.

My brother bought a U3 .30 700mm tuned by DW and there is zero ping compared to a U2 of the same caliber. Honestly the ping from the U2 is not bothersome to me or other animals. One night we were predator hunting there were roughly a dozen deer about 50 yards in front of us grazing when a fox came in at 100 yards. I took the shot, directly over the deer’s heads, dropped the fox, and the deer scurried off about 10 yards. In about a minutes time they were back to grazing in the same spot. They are completely unaffected by the shot cycle and/or ping from a U2. This has been tested many times and not a one off incident, no moderator used.
What kind of groups are you getting past 100 yards?

Crazy that the deer barely flinched! Thanks for sharing that.

Is it common to ship a Yong Heng YH-QB01 compressor & what's a ballpark price?

No, don't think it's common, most used ones offered are pick up only. The following is printed on two sides of the original shipping box for mine; MEAS. 49x30x49cm. Actual shipping label lists 47.40 pounds. Take that info to Pirate Ship website, along with TO and FROM addresses, for latest shipping charges. WM

Umarex  Complete Komplete

The King Gillette marketing plan.
Sell the hardware at cost.
Make the money on consumables.

Razors
Ink Jet Printers
Kidney Dialysis Systems
Pellet Guns

Obviously works very well.
Kinda surprised it took this long in pellet guns.

It didn't.

Tubes were available a month after it hit the street but a purpose built tube like this is better.

MINI REVIEW: Huma Mod 40 Avalanche Moderator (Problem Solved?)

I was able to get some felt sheets from a craft store (Joann in my case) in the kids section. They had several different colors and hardness/stiffness. The ones I got are about the same stiffness as used in the original huma moderators. I used some of it inside the shroud of the Pinty rifle with all those stupid holes drilled in them. It made it quite a bit better in my opinion.

Got mine at Walmart in the craft supply area at .32 a sheet, I got a few sheets but it took only one sheet for the task.

MINI REVIEW: Huma Mod 40 Avalanche Moderator (Problem Solved?)

I wrapped the inserts in felt a certain way, as 12" strips the width of the oblong holes and secured with a single large diameter o-ring on each wrap, so that's two per insert. The Sig runs as best as can be expected I think, while the Avenger is super quiet and super accurate, with no effect on the POI it would appear.

The felt is wrapped clockwise on one side then counterclockwise on the other, this pattern is repeated on all the inserts. Then the spines of the inserts are all aligned in the same direction, done by peering in the holes of the cans and lining them up and closing them.

AEA  It is going to get CRAZY in the pcp big game air rifles!

AEA makes terrible barrels for there big bores...A Airforce Texan .510 T-REX with a 650 grain spire point boat tail at .5 B.C will make a 1000 foot pounds at 300 yards..At 4500 psi....I use a GX CS4 compressor and fill my SCOTT SCBA 5.5 tanks to 5500 psi and use external regulator for my big bores..Works pretty slick...

New owner of brk bantam sniper xr 25 cal

He has shot my airguns often and I have been noticing that he is really enjoying the PCPs versus the springers and rammers. He will be 39 in Aug. but I have really got into the PCPs heavily in the last 9 months. Always springers and rammers for the last 5 years. Unfortunately or shall I say fortunately for the 6 children all adults and 9 grandchildren are going to have plenty of options for airguns lol.

Other  How would one value this rare PCP?

I bought this piece of airgun history almost a decade ago. It was the most affordable way to step up from my Diana Stormrider, at a time when money was tight but accuracy was a priority.
This is the Calibr Hooligun, a single shot predecessor to the Kalibrgun Cricket. Almost all Information on this rifle has dissolved into the abyss of internet archives. I have just a few printed documents and schematics that could add historical context.
I guess the question is... Does this thing carry ANY value? It shows signs of its age but functions perfectly.

Hold-Over or Dial? …Scope Turret Labels - DYI

I found it best to learn to be proficient both dialing and holding over/off using FFP scopes. If you don't practice holds you lose confidence when doing this, can get confused where to hold, and can pick the wrong hashes unless you pay attention.

Holding is faster and dialing is a hair more precise in general.

For ELR sometimes you run out of elevation travel so you are forced to dial up as far as the scope is still clear then holdover the rest of the shooting solution using the hashes in the reticle. Have made hits at ELR distances this way even impacting a 2356Y steel at a ELR match on my first try, it works.
Some of the Horus reticles go almost all the way down the FOV of the scope. On one occasion I had one that tracked horribly so I basically didn't dial it but I was able to hit a 3' wide steel at 1900 yards. Nope not ideal and the IQ at the periphery of the FOV at the bottom of the scope was pretty bad but just goes to show there's other ways to do things if needed.

I've won comps using both methods and picked which one made the most sense at the time. Lately I prefer to dial.
