The BEST American-Made rifles are 35"They are sold as Barrel liners ( AKA: Blanks ) and final machining is required.

Can i let the hammer spring be too powerful? How do i know when to stopIn my EDguns, 850-890 is a good speed for the 25.4s. This can usually be achieved at or below the factory reg setting of 125 BAR using only HST adjustment. Make sure you set your speed at least 13-15 fps below the maximum speed at a given reg pressure. This seems to improve SD as well as efficiency.
The guns can run the pellets significantly faster, but 850-890 is consistently a very stable speed for the EDguns with pellets. Some guys are very successful as high as 925. I see better results around 880. That assumes you want that much power. You can certainly shoot all the way down to 550 if you shoot short distance or indoors.
if i were you i would try to take the front sight mount off first
i remember trying on a dead 48 i have and gave up
now most posts will say you can just drill out any muzzle brake to 15mm and to that i say HORSE FEATHERS
you would need a drill press a way to hold it 90 degrees to the table and a drill bit
large drills love to walk and a lathe would be your best bet and even fewer of us have a lathe
I have taken the entire front sight off that’s what made me start thinking about something to put in its place. The barrel is shrouded and there are groves cut into the barrel to align the sight.

Gotta love those single shot Edguns. My new (to me) slug gun. .22 Edgun r3 long. Shoots Daystate Howlers, 20.3gr or equivalent NSA and .22 FX Hybrids (22gr) @ 950fps(I believe) View attachment 569696with superb accuracy & distance. Between Derrick Wall (zx10wall) & Mike Bricker (Centercut) working their magic on setting this thing up there's absolutely NOTHING to complain about. 161 yard kill is my best with it so far. I expect it will only get better.
Holy Smokes!! Want to intro all three and explain the purpose of each? i.e. Caliber, power setting, etc.
Do not understand how you would fit a banjo bolt and manifold, inline with the original regulator? It would certainly work , the issue is the very small volume in these fittings . Not much gain from the 5 or so cc’s af air. There are banjo bolts that have the same thread pitch. One of them in combination with a small manifold would increase the volume to something usable.
Well Ratzy we seem to be thinking alikeSure, I waste time posting pictures and *boom* I'm second.![]()
Outstanding! As copied from a previous post in another thread; edited for pertinence here-

My most consistently-accurate airgun (of many hundreds I've owned) is the latest evolution of my original Mac-1 QB77 Deluxe that cost $159 brand-new thirty years ago; now known (by me) as The Most Improbable Slug Shooter On Earth. And although all that remains of the original QB77 Deluxe is the BARREL and bolt-action, the custom-stocked QB/Gauntlet hybrid consistently averages less than 1.20" five-shot groups at 100 yards with 16 and 20 grain H&N slugs at 28-30 foot pounds.
Although I've had a (very) few air rifles that once or twice averaged better groups, none did so with such unerring REGULARITY as QB/G. A brief history-
I had the stock (above) custom built to my design by an old gunsmith in Fort Worth in the late 1970s for a Crosman 160. The QBs being a(typical) Chinese rip-off of the Crosman 160, some thirty years later the stock found its roundabout way to the QB77; that (by then) had captured a Field Target National Champion title in a different, AR2078 stock.
Last Christmas a buddy gifted me an Umarex Gauntlet; the Gauntlet being another, this time Chinese/American conspiracy rip-off of the Crosman 160. The Gauntlet guts, and a Ninja Flex adjustable regulator, allowed a long-sought power boost way beyond the 20 foot pounds I'd been seeking for decades.
Having never achieved decent accuracy with any slug in any airgun, for some inexplicable reason I decided to make a last-ditch effort to do so by trying slugs in QB/G. To my amazement she achieved what none others could- aforementioned CONSISTENT five-shot group-size averages under 1.20" center-to-center... consistent as clockwork. Many groups go under an inch, some under 3/4"; none over 1.4".

Thank you ill try that i have airgun oilMy aea sf 30 and my hp 50 both used to leak down to 4000psi over a few days or so. A few months ago I put a few drops of silicone oil inside the fill probe then filled with air. They both now hold 4500psi, it was an instant fix. I read about people doing it to their sf on here. It's worth a try. O rings can dry and shrink. Check valves can get stuck.
