I think the $1000 requirement to get a scope that tracks well applies to scopes from a decade or two ago.
➧ We have entered a Golden Age of Scopes (same can be said for airguns, just look at the development in the last 10 years ).

Even $500 MRSP might not be necessary to get turrets that are consistent, over time.
Athlon, Arken, Vector and others turn out really good stuff.

And there are always lemons in every batch of product, no matter what. — So, if you had a bad experience with sub-$500 scopes, I'm sorry!

But most of them probably won't be good suggestions for YOUR shooting scenarios.

➌ Is this for targets/ plinking —
or hunting —
or both?

➍ What is your shortest range and your longest range you will be shooting at?

➎ Do you prefer FFP —

or does it not matter?

➏ What do you mean with "center dot"?

I have an Athlon Helos 2-12, its wonderful.

Another way to clarify a bit. I would use the macro more on a tuned gun to adjust power to a situation , where as the micro is what is concentrated on more for tuning.

I got Kral Puncher shadow locked to 15Joules , what is a maximum power I can adjust using method provided above ? I have attached picture with regulator gauge with tank filled to 230bar . I have opened that part which is supposed to be Reg , there is only one bolt in reg and nothing more , I was expecting some kind of spring valve. 2nd picture

I was just going to respond to your earlier post about not seeing your turret numbers —
and mow you found exactly what I was going to recommend you.

MK Machining is top notch — they use the good glass for the magnifiers (unlike others).
They have them in different scope tube sizes, even 35mm and 36mm.

On certain holidays/seasons they run up to 30% discounts.

After postponing the inevitable for too long, I finally ordered a bunch of the magnifiers. They work well!

You appear to say that ISO 46 is a brand of oil? No, ISO 46 refers to the global engineering standard for oil quality recommended by ALL air compressor manufacturers, including Yong Heng.

Well in springers, pick your battle, POWER, COST, RECOIL at this time the the RWS54 is about it. .177, .22
The Whiscombe is the perfect rifle....recoilless, beautiful ,powerful, best trigger, rare and expensive.
other recoilless rifles are in the 6-12fp range.... Park, FWB 300,Anschutz 380, AA SR but not currently produced.
The 54 is a scope killer without help ( Bullseye mounts), not a great trigger, medium power, recoil friendly
Men's springers Hatsen and Weblely are powerful , hard too cock, recoils.

So it appears PCPs win

And I love my Whiscombe's, Park, 54, SR's , A 380, FWB 300, Webley

An interesting phenomenon can be seen when collecting downrange velocities, either through Labradar or a downrange chronograph....

Some of the more wasp-wasted, traditional shaped pellets will be going the same speed at 50, 60+ yards, whether they left the muzzle going 880 or 950. The shuttlecock shape simply strips velocity. In short, depending on the particular pellet, you're just wasting air over a certain muzzle speed.

Generally, as the waist-to-caliber ratio goes down (less exaggerated waisted pellets) and as the pellet length goes up, more speed is retained, making a faster starting speed beneficial. Ie, pellets on the heavier end of the weight range for that particular caliber. And of note is that at a certain point of pellet length:caliber, you get into needing slower twist rates in the rifling to keep them behaving at long-for-pellet distances.

i my Uragan 2, there was a time I thought of getting another in 25 cal. I really like the green laminate too. I like your videos, I’m looking forward to your follow up video. My Uragan had a bit of ping, im wondering if the U3 is the same? Also what mm barrel do you have on that rig? Mine shot excellent out of the box, eventually i caved and started tinkering, surprisingly I believe I only made it better, mostly thanks to this kit I ordered from a fine fellow in Africa. The ping is gone, the shot cycle sounds better imo, and the chrony numbers look as good or better than out of the box. I have a 700mm .22, it shot hot out of the box, the test target was with MRD which shoot ok out to 50 yards, but not great. JTS 22.07 grain even at 1000 fps shot the best. I think i have them in the 980s now.

I did not do a good job explaining myself,it was an ugly Bullpup I was looking at...there are plenty that are not as ugly or ugly at all.I have become a fan of them; though I still need wood on them.I have a Akela ,it is not bad looking at all.
It is the one with the cocking lever near your ear and all black plastic I think are ugly.

Hatsan also has free shipping. At least for me. I log in and the shipping charges go away. Pyramyd has shipping charges for anything under some dollar value.

I buy occasionally onsies from Amazon when I want to test a different type pellet. Shipping can be a killer from sites like pyramyd.
