POI at different mag levels, SFP

If you want a FFP 6-24 that has very good turrets and good glass why not a Arken EPL-4 6-24? I have one and I love it at 24X.. I don't like it much at 6X. Reticle is too fine in my opinion. But if you will use it at 10X or more, or can discern the reticle at lower power it's a very nice scope for what it costs.

What did you do airgun related today.

Cleaned up a couple of fwb 102‘s today. An old trick I was told about decades ago to touch up black anodized parts. Multiple coats of magic markers, let each coat dry then rub with a towel to blend it all in. This is just the first coat.

I agree with Neu, the OP needs to give us some data for us to be able to help. About $20 will get you a very serviceable chronograph. Get one, fill the gun to 150 bar or so and shoot any 177 pellet you have through it until the velocity falls. Note the pressure. You reg is set a little above that pressure. Tell me what weight pellet you shot, the velocity it went before it went down and the pressure at which it went down. Lastly tell me what you want the gun to do differently. If you will do these things I or others will help you. If you do not tell us these things we can't do much.

Western Airguns  After some months of inactivity I took the Sidewinder .25 out of the shelf... And...

A bud has the Sidewinder in .25 also. It has been a good gun until lately. It will randomly decide to not fire a pellet. When it happens, we have to completely de-gas it, then it will fire again. But for no rhyme or reason it will happen again. It may work for several days in a row, then happens, de-gas, an hour later it’s not firing again, de-gas, works for a day…etc. Has cost him many squirrels and several woodchucks.

AirMaks Arms  Caiman X .22 cal how to quiet This thing

I wanted to try a stronger valve return spring on mine but it is not obvious to me how to change it. There is a cover over it that doesn't seem to screw off. My regulator is set to 100 bar which pushes the 18 grain pellets it likes lover 900 fps easily. So I don't want to go higher on the reg to close the valve faster. I did increase it for slugs to 125 bar but the slug accuracy was worse than pellets and it wasn't to my ears quieter.

Pellets verses slugs

Id say no heavy liner, you have slug options the pellet liner will shoot to 100 well. Don't overlook jsb monster redesigns or heavy hades.... Those are crappy bc slugs imo. Don't slug liner it, when I did I lost use of all pellets except monster redesigns.

Hopefully you have your reg at 150 bar already on that dreamline. Try some 217 patriot javelin 23 grain slugs in that pellet liner. Keep it a pellet gun, that also digests a couple light slugs with no new modifications.

You should be able at 150 bar to achieve everything you want. Mines 25 but I'm popping pigeons at 115 yards with it in 380mm maxxed out at 860fps.

For a year I referred to it as the "3000 dollar miss machine" till I figured it out. 75 fpe 22, and I Still mostly shoot monster pellets or 23 javs out of it on minimum power settings which is 55 fpe. If the impact hammer weren't so painful to remove, I'd put it back to stock power capacity and be shooting jsb 18 and monsters thru a bore sized hole all day.

Its nuanced but I will give you the jist of it, i spent a fortune and ruined the enjoyment of an m3 impact going down the stupid slug rabbit hole, and it's too powerful to shoot most places now. I completed the task to see if i could. Not a good reason.

Huben  Any issues or problems with Huben gk1 please share your experience

Just realized one if my 2 GK1 spare parts bags has a few K1 orings in it. Couple small ones and a valve o ring.. go figure the o-ring ive been waiting for. Wolfiek said they were out of stock and i said i believe they both use the same 11.6x1.8 o ring. She replied with “i dont think so” ..
One in my bag and other from a K1 spare parts kit i grabbed.

Interesting, I don't have such an o-ring in the bags I've seen.

Pellets verses slugs

I would say maybe. And that maybe is gonna cost you a good bit of cash to find out. You definitely have a good pellet gun. And some guns should always remain a pellet gun. If you want to chase slugs, buy a separate gun for that. Then when you’re frustrated, the gun is broke because of something you saw on the internet or you’re waiting on a do-dad that is going to cure everything, you can shoot your good pellet gun.
This is the way.

Pellets verses slugs

So I have a FX Dreamline with a 500mm barrel in .22 cal. It's pretty dang accurate shooting Diablo Exact pellets. I'm wondering if switching the barrel liner to a slug liner would increase the accuracy at 100 yards. I would love to hear your thoughts and what slugs you like to shoot.
How far do you intend to LIKELY shoot, and what power levels? I have an impact dedicated to slugs and it never gets brought out anymore. Only a disco and my 380mm dreamline. I have much more to comment but I need to know your intentions.

Snowpeak  Artemis P15 5.5mm - location of hammer spring adjustment screw

The best way to set a regulator without a plenum gauge or markings starts with shooting down until your velocity falls telling you you are off the regulator and noting the pressure. You know the regulator is slightly higher. Then you turn the screw a little, like half a turn or less, and repeat. There is no defined stopping point for the regulator screw so I don't know how anybody can say 130 bar is 3.5 turns. Which way and from what starting point? The screw falls out at one point and you may damage the spring washers going too far the other way. I think its best to not try to take silly ill conceived short cuts.
