red dot

I have been using a red dot on and off on my Wildcat for about a year or so. I switch back and forth with a lpvo just because I get bored. The thing fascinates me most about the red dot is there is zero parallax error. Doesn't matter where my head/eye is in relation with the viewing window is as long as I see the target and the dot when the pellet leaves the barrel its a hit.

As explained to me:

If you take a piece of aluminum from China and forge, extrude, swage, or CNC it into a top rail, you have SIGNIFICANTLY ALTERED it and US Tariffs on Chinese aluminum do NOT apply and only US Tariffs applicable to your country apply.

If however the piece of aluminum came from China as a top rail and you simply bolted it to an airgun you manufacturer, then US Tariffs applicable to China and your country apply.

For TWC it is just not worth the time, effort, and cost to deal with the imbecilic induced chaos that may or may not go into affect after August 29th.

Airgun Technologies  Nothing like the Drozd.............at all??

Hi, I have lately become very fascinated by especially the Drozd Blackbird after seeing what it can do with a 300-bar air tank and a 5K card or 4K card.
The 1000-1200 fps at those high rpm is just too sexy for anyone not to fall in love 🥰

But is there really nothing else that comes near it from other producers or is it only in Russia they can make something that fast, hard hitting, mod able and also very sturdy??
It really is sad if there is not, but what do you think?

Please write what you have seen, heard or know of firsthand.

Thanks in advance for sharing another love story 😍

This might be a double post and if so, please delete it, I have tried to, but I cannot because it is awaiting approval
Not a drozd but I do have a crosman that doesn't have the power, but a higher cyclic rate at 25 rounds per second. It sounds like a little cwis. The velocity is neat, but it's still bbs, and if you're like me the full auto is only fun for a little bit. Have you seen "funnel" guns. It basically sends bbs as fast as a venturi can Ingest them. No attractive form factor but you could send a million bbs in a short time with an scba and a regulator.

Flat 10% i thought .. dors that really blow there brains and cant ship ?
Big ticket probably hurts 10 bucks on every 100 but .. as said whats was good for the goose is now good for the gander. Boo hoo
in the end... it is "we the consumer" who pays the increased costs associated with any tarrif. Period.
Not to mention the endless inconvenience this nonsense causes us.

Fill Probe

It was suggested that I leave the probe in my Daystate Revere to now wear out the O-ring. I don’t see others doing this. Is it a good or not so good idea? Are there any downsides to doing so? Thanks
not a problem to insert and remove... unless you loose the thing... then it's crapola. I wish all MFGR's would switch the QD foster fittings... so much easier.

Having trouble seeing the reticle

Read View attachment How-to-adjust-the-Eyepiece.pdf. Because of astigmatisms I see double horizontal reticle lines and I can adjust most of it out with the ocular. I shoot with both eyes open. I now have developed diplopia (double vision) Have not had prisms put in my prescription, yet. I am still shooting a scoped rifle with both eyes open. I am not driving and wearing a patch causes nausea and dizziness. Ageing!!!

Other  Shoot openings in windows

I like how you have the decal to remind you that the window is closed
Mike

My club's rifle range shack has these HUGE Leopold stickers on the windows. Takes up the entire lower window. Can't miss them. Stickers are the perfect solution!

What are your thoughts on lead exposure?

I have never worried about lead from metal. Ever since I was younger i have to cut the tops off batteries and melted them in a hot pot to make fishing weights. More recently using it with a .457 round ball mold i acquired.

But, the thing I was concerned with and never really got a real answer about is what the effect was from all the leaded gas fumes we breathed in as a kid, or worse I remember sucking in gas from a hose and spitting it out to siphon into a can when we went camping.
and brake dust from asbestos pads back in the day.
