Field Target is an arms race.

Scott and JW you are both correct, it was an after event extra for a thanksgiving turkey, it wasn’t 80+ it was 75, unfortunately no one knocked down the turkey.
I started thinking that I should practice at 80 yards, but heck I need more practice at 50!

Scopes with center dots and suitable for hunting?

Well, the seller that had the
Athlon Helos 2-12x42 FFP for
$460 just ran out of them.

However, he still has a couple of the high quality do-it-all scope (that I just bought), the
Athlon Ares ETR 3-18x50 FFP for
$583 (MRSP over $1000). 😃

Huben  PCP Progression - What was yours?

● It uh, progressed dramatically.

Yeah, there are a few other terms that bid to bubble forth from just beyond the subconscious level:

● It progressed catastrophically
● It progressed ruining my savings
● It progressed beyond reason and rationality
● At first, it progressed unnoticeably... — until it progressed unstoppably! 😱

Any resemblance to actual persons, myself included, is purely coincidential.

Hero! Thank you.

Anyone know of one O-ring source that stock all of these for one order? Or do most specialized O-ring suppliers have these?

PCP Rifle  WTS RTI Mora .357 700mm

I’ve decided to sell my RTI Mora .357 700mm rifle. It’s in like new condition and at most has only seen 150 slugs through it. I’ve owned it for a while but very rarely use it so I’m going to offer it up for sale. Sale will include the rifle (no scope) with the original case and all items that came with it new. It’s an excellent shooting rifle I only wish I had more time to use it. I will throw in a couple of boxes of Griffin 145 grain slugs that are very accurate in it. Only trade I would consider is a very nice Leishy 2 in .25 or possibly 9mm. I’m asking $2300 plus actual shipping. Thanks

eBay restrictions on California buyers - I’ve had enough!

Marlboro has a ban on possessing air guns. Years ago teenagers were doing a lot of damage so the town banned the sale of and posse them. That is the reason New England Airguns is in Hudson the next town over . Amazon won’t ship because there are other towns with restrictions as well.
Ironically Marlborough fish and game club hosts many field target events and we’re driving our guns through that city all the time. Wouldn’t be fun to deal with cops pulling folks passing through there.

What did you do airgun related today.

Finished my 2240 service tool project this morning. Then opened a package from Airguns of Arizona, it's a Rohm Twinmaster Action. Am canna embarrassed I had to read the manual, I usually just figure every thing out. LOL, will shoot this tomorrow.

Huben  huma reg in huben k1 .25

Unless perhaps a HuMa is PURPOSE built for that use .... as a typical HuMa is a precision regulator with a SLOW refresh rate of 2-5 seconds.
The HUBEN semi-auto requires near instantaneous refresh speed.

Don't see it as a good match based on what I know of HuMa regulators
I’m with you in this opinion, Estado humor regulator wouldn’t work. You would actually need to increase the pressure exponentially.

Karma  AEAC Video Review & Owner's Guide - NEW Karma Red Panda .30 (100 Yards Tested x8) FULL REVIEW + 100 FPE Custom Tune - "2025 Spec" Airgun

In reality, the problem is your plenum is way too large so the change and pressure after a shot is not large enough to produce the first regulator to open, so you need to either enlarge the dual time or modify the differential pressure within the plenum

night pesting - best budget thermal, as of july'25

looking to go thermal - low power pcp (notos) for ratt'n out to about ~20 yds - small postage stamp yard w/ wood fence.
I do not need magnification given the close range so 1x-3x is just fine. i recognise the difference between gen1, gen2, etc night vision vs thermal - which is why i prefer budget thermal at this point in my search.
i prefer a unit that i can watch vs have my eye right up to - as it is usually 20-30 minutes in between shot opportunities.
So something along these lines seems appropriate. vs a Zulus which is the traditional eye cup.

Anyone have insight as to what is coming down the pipe for that ~$350 or under price point. And if Ali/Temu is even a consideration vs amazon or similar 'traditional' online retailer?
Thank you in advance All

N/A  Pellet profiles?

What exactly is a "Diablo" type pellet? I see several companies use that description on their pellets. How do they differ from anything else?
Diablo means Devil.

Diabolo, prounced dee-aa-bow-low, refers to an hourglass shape (sand timer) and gets its name "Diabolo" from a 2000 year old Chinese toy of the same basic shape.

The hourglass shape was chosen for 10 Meter Precision Air Rifle pellets and 10 Meter Precision Pistol pellets whose muzzle energy can be less than 7.5 joules (5.5 ft-lbs).

The diabolo shape greatly reduces pellet to bore friction allowing higher pellet velocities for such low energy levels and lite pellets (usually < 9 grains).

The head vs skirt outside diameters of the diabolo are varied based on desired Internal Ballistics.

The hollow depth of the skirt, length and thickness of the waste, and the shape of pellet's head, are varied based on the desired External Ballistics.

Diabolo pellets are NOT drag stabilized.

Diabolo pellets do NOT share the External Ballistics of a Shuttlecock.

Field Target is an arms race.

Franklin, you said;
“Anyway, pushing past the 55yard/50meter AAFTA limit is an absolute impossibility. The WFTF'rs will never allow it, ”

I don’t agree with, in a match about four or five months ago the match director set a field target at 80+ yards. This young man is on the board of AAFTA.
They might be more open to it than you think.

What did you do airgun related today.

Fill us in! I was thinking about one.
Only filled the gun to 200 bar last night to let it sit and see if it would hold pressure and it was still sitting on 200 bar this morning. Got it sighted in with some JSB 15.89gr pellets this morning. I will say it's very accurate and the fit and finish looks pretty good for the price point. I didn't experience any pellet clipping like I did when I first got my JTS Airacuda a few years ago. I put my Moderator on to time the bark some. I live in the sticks but still like to keep my neighbors somewhat on peaceful terms. I will say if you plan on using the magazines and a scope, you'll probably need high rings. Overall very impressed with it may even get rid of my Hatsan Flashpup QE in 25 now.
