HW35 any good?

I bought the HW35E from Krale a few months ago. Great gun, you won't regret getting one. Krale has the Beech model in stock for $339.00 plus $52.00 shipping. I received mine in 3 days.

Unless you have to have the finger groove I would just get a new one. The new style stock is pretty easy on the eyes and the checkering on the forearm makes it easy to grip.

It is very accurate with H&N Field Target Trophy's

Adjusting #1 regulator on the .30 cal Red Panda

I have the .30 cal Red Panda that was tuned for slugs directly from Karma. I shoot a 77 grain boat tail slug at 950 fps at 200 yards. I'm setting up the RP to shoot 200 yard bench rest targets.

Karma/Donnny FL presets the #1 regulator at 3000 psi and suggest that it should not be changed by the user.

However, my best tune for 77 grain slugs at 950 fps is to set my #2 regulator at 2950 psi. Now that I have a digital manometer on the #2 regulator, it takes an average of 1:45 seconds after each shot to obtain 2950 psi for the next shot.

The longer my shooting session, the longer it takes to get back to 2950 after each shot. The last shot I took today took 2:30 seconds.

I shoot tethered and have my external tank set to 3100 psi.

I believe it takes so long to refill the plenum to 2950 psi for each shot is because the #1 regulator and #2 regulator are both almost the same. 3000/2950 psi

As I mentioned, Karma/Donny FL does not recommend to make any adjustments to the #1 regulator. It's a pain the arse to wait 2 mins before each shot!

So, how do I do it? I just want the #1 regulator to be 10-20 psi higher or 3020 psi instead of 3000 psi.

There's a detailed thread on utube by pj Clark that will tell you exactly how to do it. It's not that difficult from what I seen. It's an 8 part thing. The one that says internals should tell you exactly how to do what your wanting. I'd suggest that since you own a 2400$ gun that you watch them All. I own a panda, and i did. Learnt alot from it also. Pj explains everything near about. If you type Redpanda in utube, the vids will pop up.

I've spent that much stocking up on pellets for my first air rifle, and I've only had it a few weeks!
My current pellet consumption borders on the absurd as far as I'm concerned. Though I think I found two different brands of 25.39 pellets the crown likes, so that should help keep my expenditure on pellets stable...which still remains absurd.

Parallax Wheel

One of the coolest features about JD’s is, regardless of which model wheel and because of the hub design and how it is standardized the wheels are all indexed the same. You can use the yardage on the original to mark the newest wheel exactly without having to even look through the scope. You could try every arc of wheel he makes and be able to conclude which wheel is best for your scope. You do not need a hub for every wheel.
Set the original wheel so the pointed is at the 10 yard marking. Carefully remove it. Without moving the parallax turret, Install the new wheel and mark it 10 yards. Remove the new wheel, install the original, turn it to your next yardage (assuming it’s 11). Without moving the parallax turret, install the new wheel and mark it with that yardage. Repeat this process across your yardage spectrum and you will have a second wheel labeled with the exacts same yardage as the original. Takes all of five minutes.

JUST A HEADS UP! Stable, Sturdy TRIPOD SALE!!!

I am interested in a pistol rest that is 4” by 7” for the supported pistol class in senior olympics. Any suggestions?
Maybe start a thread asking that. You'll get more relevant responses than people stumbling across it here. I have no idea personally.

Have you been looking for a zero eye relief prism scope in the states? Maybe you've found the Element "immersive series" coming in at over $600? Yuck! This Immersive brand scope comes from the same factory, at less than half the price. I have ONE of these available for $299 SHIPPED. THIS IS BRAND NEW, NO FINGERPRINTS (can include fingerprints for an extra fee 😉)

Brocock/BRK  Can moisture in a PCP affect accuracy?

Thank you everyone for all the responses.

I have one of the GX filters but never used it thinking I was okay filling only in a relatively dry room, my A/C shop. I have set up the nitrogen cylinder I originally was going to use and have filled the gun once using nitrogen. Have not seen a hint of vapor since after about 40 pellets. Gun is almost ready to be filled again. Groups are excellent for an amateur shooter. The POI never moved back though. Not a problem as I zeroed the scope for the new POI. Still curious why the POI moved though.

If there was moisture in the gun will shooting with nitrogen dry the internals out? I am mechanically capable but would rather not disassemble a new rifle.

The Patchworm looks like a good cleaning device. I bought a different one with the gun and a bottle of AoA cleaner/degreaser but have not used it yet.

I do not own a chrono so have no clue how many fps I am shooting. I keep the Ghost power wheel on 9 mostly getting 60~70 shots out of a full fill.

Tricky-Dicky, thank you for those things to check other than moisture.

Huben  Huben GK1 not precise at all. What I am doing wrong?

Thanks for sharing. Is yours .22?

Anyways, with the .25, when you set it, there are TWO stages. First and second click as one pushes the pellet in. Do you have two distinct clicks too? Do you go one or two clicks in? Looks like TWO.

I tested no seating, 1 click, and 2 clicks. About 20 shots in each. No difference that I can tell.
Yep on the .25 2 places that are tighter but it the one I'm using a red dot. So I don't get the accuracy as .22 and .177 GK1.

Benjamin  Tank options

This is my current refill situation. The tank is out of hydro and I do not know anyone in the area that has a compressor...to refill on the regular. Given the current set up what are my option in terms of a smaller tank? I have been thinking about the smaller carbo fiber paintball tanks...Only looking to fill a tank to 3000 psi.....refilled a PROD.... What kind of adaptor would i need to transition into that they of tank.? Any and all information would be great.

HW97 UPDATE

Had my HW97 2 years now and it only gets more accurate the more i shoot it.
Got mine from A O A and had them install a tune kit before they sent it. I shoot H & N field target trophy 8.64 gr. hitting a one inch target at 40 yards most every time but every gun has its fliers.
Cant rember the pellet speed but calculated to 12 and a half foot pounds .
If rou notice an accuracy change check the stock screws. mine came loose soon after i got it but when i snuged them up my accuracy realy got good.
