What springer did you shoot today?

I pulled out the HW35E since I had a new sling on it and did some walking and off hand shooting with it. It being zeroed at 75-yards I didn't hit one can. I'm guessing I was at about 30-40 yards. I put a full revolution of down in it but that didn't help. I only made about ten shots and quit. I didn't get a picture.
I use a comparable powered 177 Hw50 for an offhand walking air rifle. I use a fixed 4X, non AO, mildot scope with a 25 zero. Most of my targets will be close enough to that 25 yards there's not much hold over or under to consider. It's point and shoot. If I stretch it out to 50 yards I'm at 3/4 mil and at 93 yards IIRC I'm at 3 mils. Its easier to remember no hold over for most practical shots and use the reticle for the longer stuff. I almost never shoot past 50 yards offhand with air rifles any way.

Non AO is a blessing in a hunting scope, as it is always in focus regardless of whatever distance a target suddenly pops up at. Fixed power keeps your hold overs from changing with magnification. Trying to remember holdovers is hard enough at one magnification. forget remembering the infinite amount of holdovers throughout your magnification range. Then add to that ten other rifles. That's why I have only one walking rifle with a simple fixed power scope. Less is more.

What caliber is your 35E. I know it isn't 20.

Has ANYONE seen this before???

6gun....Thanx...as long as someone else had seen this...Its crazy...instead of using one long piece of tape....its 4 small ones...is it unique to this weight....
I get my heavy hades like this, my mrds and any smaller tins like polymags. You should see how bad it is to get a log of tiny slip top 177 polymags out of 273 layers of packing tape.

N/A  Xisico Sentry HC Deluxe .22

Arent they heavy seen where they are like 10.3# or something cant remember now, started to buy one once but that kept me from it? I dont think they are ugly compared to the all metal guns.
I don't find it any heavier than your average wood and metal gun but like I said, I only bench shoot so weight is not an issue for me. I've had total reverse shoulder replacement on my left side and I don't have a rotator cuff so that pretty much takes off hand shooting off the table for me. ;) :( I mean I can do it but I'm not very steady.

A simple Google search yields this info....

"The Xisico Sentry HC Deluxe PCP air rifle has an overall length of 48 inches (121.9 cm) and a barrel length of 19.5 inches (49.5 cm). It weighs 8.0 pounds (3.6 kg). The Xisico Sentry HC Deluxe PCP is available in three calibers: .177, .22, and .25. All three calibers share the same weight and dimensions. "

N/A  Newbie looking to buy used complete set up

Look for a used dreamline tactical compact. It's my favorite dollar to experience ratio gun. Even with pellets I'm shooting past 100 yards with it at 43 fpe. It's a slept on model because it's not super sexy over feature packed. It does what it does well, and easily. I'm comparing to my impact, semi auto aea and a couple benjamin pcps. The dreamline almost replaced my impact for usefulness and it's stayed stock.

Head shot thread

Vulcan 3 30caliber
62.5g @ 1001fps / 139fpe

Small entrance big exit!

Hard to judge distance at night. I aimed a bit low thinking he was a little closer than he actually was
so I thought my shot was gonna be a tad bit higher but it went right where the crosshairs were.

Slow motion is a bit choppy since I have to record at a reduced frame rate in low light

Anyway plenty of energy to get the job done!

Fill Probe

Most of my PCPs are foster, the fill probes that aren't are fitted with a foster adapter.

I'll typically shoot one airgun in a session, it only takes a second to attach the correct probe to the foster on the hose. It's a non-issue to me.

Would be nice if all PCPs used a standard way of filling. Realistically, the foster fitting is quite bulky and long and doesn't suit every airgun design.

Just my 2 cents.

Cheers!

Has ANYONE seen this before???

Just received my .22 ...jsb 33.9gr.....was wondering if ANYONE else has ever seen this kind of tape..(scotch tape...opaque..lol)...come on this brand & weight....I've only been in this a couple years ..soooo....im learning everyday....pellets look ok..only see 5/6 bent skirts...not alota trash in the tin..from what I untaped & checked....is there a ribbon tape shortage over in their neck of the world??...lmao...of course you know the first thing I thought.....THEY SENT ME SORTED REJECTS ????....View attachment 586332View attachment 586330View attachment 586333

Umarex  Umarex Hammer surgery

Power can be adjusted on the hammer. You have to take bonnet off regulator and add or subtract shims. No shims, it shoots with less power and you get 4 shots. If you get a shim like the ones in regulator and add a thin shim, it will increase about 100 FPS using a 350gr. My stock hammer shot 350 gr, at 840-850. With the added shim 350gr goes 935-950 FPS.

What did you use for the shim and did you make a quick video on the process or do you have a quick video on the process. This shim add is for a Hammer Carbine correct?

FX  Help: FX M4 / Macro Adjuster I can't return it to original position

You certainly helped me and accomplished your goal. Haha. When you said spiral, I thought of some spiral stairs. Then when I disassembled it , made perfect sense. More like a “cam” with my SC public education. 😄 I was in full panic mode because Talon and done the tune and it shoots very, very, well. Thanks again sir.
Definitely like a cam lobe. Like a roller cam with steps on the lobe.

Here's the fun aha moment. It's nothing more than repeatable increasing pre load for the micro. So technically you could come across the same tune with different numbers on each and still get slightly different harmonic qualities.

N/A  100yds groups ....No "White Lies"... No " B.S." ... just be honest ..

That there is a deadly combo. Once I stumbled on those RWS slugs and a rifle they worked in ( Evanix K550) I bought a few thousand of them. Krale hasn’t had them in stock for over a year now. Not that I need anymore of them. They also shoot very well from. Redmans .22lr barrel liner. Which is an extremely easy fit in any FX impact .

The K550 shooting these slugs will do 1 MOA on average at 100 yards. That’s tuned to about 70 fpe.

FX  FX Leopard Sniper Bottled: Do you see any reason why this 700cc wont fit on it?

Is the sniper standard bottle not 890 cc .
Its not, that figure is the bottle + the tube (barrel) together. I know it is easy to mess the specs up, expecially for people that dont know the FX well.
Anyway have you ever seen a single 900cc bottle on a gun? I dont even think that exist. :D
