Taipan  Taipan Slash

My .25 Slash Tactical with the 420 mm barrel is impressive for build quality. The removable pellet and slug magazines are well designed and machined, and as indicated above it has a quiet voice compared to other airguns as similar power levels. There are a few other discussion threads on the Slash and a recent one on Slash Tuning includes some performance results from a few new owners.

There is currently a Slash up for sale in the Classifieds from someone who bought one recently just to test it and see how it compared to his other semi-auto airguns.

Air Arms  AA S510 AIR LEAK

Eh?

AA has been using this basic design for 30+ years. With slight improvements here and there over that time. I don't see them ever implementing any of those features in this line and still calling it a S5 or S whatever might be next.

Recently rebranding and rebadgeing lower end Asia made guns is evidence they are struggling to remain viable. If your gun's problem is indicative of systemic QC problems, I foresee even more negative signs...

AEA  BINTAC T-50 First look.

It looks tempting, but I've been burned before by the T9. Which I eventually sold because I was having too many issues. The mags got damaged within the first few weeks of shooting. One of the bolt handles snapped off. Moderators caused cycling issues.

Very picky about ammo too, especially weight. And there's no Texoma Precision equivillant here in Europe, so finding the right ammo is way more difficult.

I dunno... ever since I got the Megalodon my desire for semi-auto's has kinda disappated. At least with the Meg I can shoot without worrying about all that nonsense.
And you have no leaking problem with the Meg?
Europe. Hm, can I ask where did you got your Meg from?

Brocock/BRK  Custom sniper hr

@vmaxpro That’s pretty slick!! I like it.
Thanks! Its not for everyone, but I like how it turned out. Accuracy with jsb 34gr has been great. Havent really done much bench shooting but Ive been hammering walnuts off the trees out past 90 yards with ease. Its a feild gun so good enough!

N/A  QD Fox magazines: User opinions

Thanks all

Poorly functioning mags are frustrating....don't want that.

I have a few Maples for my 250z which work perfectly but they don't make AGT magazines unfortunately. But Orion is on my radar now.
Reach out to Jay with Maple Custom Mags, he will tell you the dimensions he needs and can make some mags for you.

Daystate  Used Daystate Air Wolf CDT .25, switched to used BRK sniper XR magnum .25

Just purchased a used Daystate Air Wolf CDT .25. Am I in for a Treat or Trouble?

It comes with Optisan 6-24x50 Scope and Donny Fl Sumo moderator. Anyone still shooting one of these? This will be my introduction rifle into the PCP world. It will be used for target and hunting.

Let me know what you think, thanks in advance.

30-Yard Challenge

Great shooting Tommy. One of the issues I had with my Caiman when it was new was the cover over the pressure gauge kept falling off. Finally I looked at it closely and it was obvious the laminated wood stock was pushing the cover off the gauge. A little sanding like you describe for your fill issue and that issue was permanently resolved. My more long standing hobby is woodworking so that sort of issue is much more minor for me than things like figuring out why a regulator doesn't work properly. But it's fun to learn new things too.

Thanks Jim! Yes, learning mostly anything new related to AG rings my bell!
