Definitely.. I've been shooting 185gr slugs out of my .51 megalodon. They are moving over 1000 fps and you should hear how they sound coming in.Haha I know right?…. But im not gonna argue that one way is better over the other either. I just wanna minimize the time of flight/drop… plus I love the sound the slugs make when they come in hot![]()
Great shot. What ambient IR are you using with the Zulu? Why the preference to thermal?Still figuring out AGN, it's been a while since I posted. Vid was short but I am testing my new DNT Zulus V2. Very happy with it so far. Pulling me away from all my thermal equipment.
I dropped the reg down to 140 bar. Its an aea external reg. The factory huma isnt being used. The power is coming from the new plenum and 27.5” barrel. Its certainly heavier! But it does balance well. Im 6’5” 245lbs I better be able to handle it lol. Its easily capable of 100ftlbs but I really wanted a pellet shooter Ive got enough slug guns.@vmaxpro How is the weight distribution when shooting offhand? Overall is it slightly heavier now? Mine loves the 34 grainers too. Did you build the custom valve? Nice porting work. 1080 fps is humming those pellets!! Which reg are you running? What is it set at? The way that the gun is constructed it shouldn’t affect your existing reg.
I was somehow able to initially contact him through email from an old post on the forums. It took a few days for him to respond and initially, my email bounced back saying his inbox was full, but it automatically resent it twice before he responded. When he did, he gave me the number I listed and after we talked, he said he prefers texting and gave the address I listed so I could ship my rifle to him.I got that info from Yelp!. I've never visited his new shop. Perhaps he hung on to his old number.
Cheers,
J~
Odd, that's the number he gave me and I've been using to contact him and the zip code you gave is different from the one I used to ship my rifle to him![]()
I’m not sure and haven’t heard or seen any discussion on issues besides the cycling, when using different weight slugs/pellets. I do like how the video shows how simplistic it is to adjust the index as well as to adjusting the regulator for more or less power. As excited as I am for Slash, something just feels "off" about the whole deal. The delays, the .30 cal version being pushed back, the fact that Taipan suddenly turned off the comments on their recent videos, the stories I've heard about cycling issues on some rifles... etc.
It's also a bit strange how few videos of it exist on Youtube. Usually these airgun channels are jumping at the opportunity to be the first to review a new high-end rifle. I keep hearing that "reviews are coming very soon", and then weeks go by without hearing anything. So far, Nate is the only 3rd party who has a review up.
I'm starting to suspect that some kind of design flaw slipped through, and Taipan are trying to save face. They recently posted a video on how to fix the cycling issues, and from what I understand they had to add a new adjustment screw to the receiver so you can fix the indexing issue. If they had to call back some of their stock to add that new adjustment screw, fine... mistakes happen. But I don't understand why they can't just be transparent about all this.
With head shots?Been hunting coyote for 20 years and last 5 with airguns occasionally, and air is my least picked choice. Only use it if I am close to town, need silence and going for specific distances. my 30 is set up for over 100fpe and it still most of the time has the target hit the third gear before the crash. Oh they do crash but it’s a pain. Some drop right away from head shots or good body shot but not the exception. Want drop in their tracks you need powder. My 22mag does the trick many times for fun, but bigger leaves no doubt. @Vetmx is 100% right. Airguns have limits, is what it is. Would like to see how a Mora 357 with 145 griffin would do though![]()
Definitely notthey jam my crown mkII compact hunter and i cant have that !!
got a couple maples and they work just as good as my 2 FX mags.
Yes this is a good video that shows the way it works. The parts diagram om hatsanUSA says its for the 777 but its the 2th gen. There are also parts missing on the exploded view. And to make matters worse. It looks like its not even the .30 but the .22 or .25 version.
This is for the original blitz. Good maintenance video. It covers the full auto gears and lubrication. I would guess most of the 777 is very similar to the original
There are other videos that cover hammer spring adjustment. Parts diagrams are on HatsanUSA website
