N/A  QD Fox magazines: User opinions

My point was that the base designs for magazines are all over the 3d web sites. Once you have the base design for the style self indexing magazine then any *new* magazine is a variation on a theme. Adjusting the form factor is not that difficult. Especially with 3d scanners. The basic wheel of caliber and count and spring with a specific frame.

Original design in the 3d printing world is the exception.

AGT Magazine

It’s not really a "base" design, just like not all cars with four wheels are the same. If you compare his AGT magazine to mine, you’ll see QD is copying my design. Honestly, that's not cool—there’s a real opportunity for innovation in this space instead of imitation. But I digress...

new guy here,optics question

Hello everybody i want to get into the pcp and looking around for some good deals that dont break the bank, anyway here is a scope i came across

Burris 4-16x50mm Fullfield IV 6.5 Creedmoor Scope

and was wondering would that be a good fir for pcp, looking to shoot 75yds tops, but 50 will be probably very common
i dont know the first thing about optics, always been a bow hunter :) so i figured better ask you guys than getting generic chat gpt answers
I appreciate it
No. The reticle is specific to a 6.5 creedmore trajectory.

Try not to get scopes with caliber specific or "BDC" reticle. Because they're designed for centerfire or some rimfire calibers specifically.

What rifles have you bought twice?

Two HW 97Ks at the same time from AoA with identical scopes, one in blue laminate and one stainless steel. The blue rifle stays at my main residence and the stainless one at the winter place in Tucson. Both in .22. But I am looking to add a .177 to my existing .22 Red Wolf, so that likely will be the second double.

Mike

Just got my Airmarksman Ace slugs

That BC of 0.245 G1 at 957 fps is wildly optimistic. I shot mine from a 700mm 1:16 twist FX liner at 950-975-1000 fps and got 0.155 to 0.160 G1. My Altaros 40 grain Kings get approx 0.195 G1 at 900 fps and they are a smoother step from body to boat tail. For information, I get about 0.245 G1 from the .25 caliber Altaros Queen 60 grain at about 880 fps.

In Dubber’s video comparing the ACE. Altaros, and ZAN, he used an experimental 800mm 1:14 twist in his Impact M4 and got the best results with that. So @Ballisticboy has a valid point with twist rates.

I just used the BC that Airmarksman claims.
I saw your actual BC results you got from FX Ballistic Chronograph.

I hope FX does come out with a 1:14 or 1:12 liner for the 22.

When they announced the Ace slugs were 40.1gr it made me wonder if the MDT pro shooters and others also had a prototype 1:14 or 1:12 liners in their rifles.

N/A  Custom gun stocks.

Order a custom stock from whoever. Have them install a cheap used, damaged junk springer action on it and ship it to you as a complete rifle. A cheap, junk used springer with a custom stock?? Do you think the pinheads in customs will figure that out?
Additionally, if you have a good friend you can trust in the states, they could put this together for you. Get the stock, find a suitable action to drop in it, then send it to you. Or you could send your action to the states and have it sent back? Might not be reasonable or feasible, but could be an option?

What are your thoughts on lead exposure?

“IS IT SAFE ?” ( Marathon Man)
at 68 im still with the mind of a scared twelve year old . Since that time ive
done all I could to as Pete said “ hope I die before i get old”. I just didn’t push
hard enough. Now I have to get even fuc ing older. So for the stuff ive done
to worry about anything in the airgun hobby just cracks me up. Yea I fill tanks
just above 5000 psi it’ll give me a hell of a jump if something popped haaa!

Daystate  Used Daystate Air Wolf CDT .25, switched to used BRK sniper XR magnum .25

Just purchased a used Daystate Air Wolf CDT .25. Am I in for a Treat or Trouble?

It comes with Optisan 6-24x50 Scope and Donny Fl Sumo moderator. Anyone still shooting one of these? This will be my introduction rifle into the PCP world. It will be used for target and hunting.

Let me know what you think, thanks in advance.
I’m a big believer in treating used gun purchases to a complete reseal. it gives me complete confidence in the rig. Daystate is my favorite brand of air rifles followed closely by Brocock and RAW.
So.

It have taken 8 months, but finally a rat showed up at my friends place, unfortunately for it, i was there too with all the bells and whistled needed for taking out things in complete darkness.

So it got a JSB heavy to the back of the brain and that assured a fairly short " dance of death "

RRIP.jpg

Naturally i also enjoyed 2 days of plain old lead slinging.
So i am down 800 13 gr slugs - 350 16 gr slugs - 300 or so MRD pellets, and a couple of JSB heavy as aside for the rat i also shot a few pest slugs, slugs with the Danish name ( translated ) Killer snails.

New heat source for the shot shed en route, this coming winter should be pea shooting in even higher comfort, even if yesterday my friend examined the shot shed from a distance with his new thermal spotter, and fount it leaking heat all over ( we had the old oven on last night as it was only 10 deg C outside but a nice comfortable 25 deg C inside the shed )

Also a visiting FX shooter, well guess who had the things ( O-rings ) to get him going.
AND ! i am not even a FX shooter, at least my Maverick with the night scope see little action these days.
