I'll start


Chipper at 37y. Had been raiding the feeder and digging tunnels all over.the place. Waiting for him to present a shot all morning. Had him in the crosshairs around 9:50 but a chickadee alarm call sent him darting. Just about 10min ago I see him working down tbe berm from a tunnel entrance. Straight to the feeder. I hit him on his return trip. A tree trunk was in the way of the headshot so I chose thoracic treatment. You can see the peanuts and sunflower kernels he was carrying with him

yes i agree, sometimes I gotta make the shot count on critters that destroy my farm equipment and a brain shot is not always available like i prefer.
but with it placed right it can be just as efficient.......

How old are your 57s? I’ve been eyeing that model for a few years but their accuracy seems to be hit or miss with the older models. HW says they’ve cured the issues with the latest offerings of the 57, but there’s so little information on them out their from real world users.

All I have is a budget scope on it for now so that will be changed out soon as well.
Im hoping to get this thing pretty accurate out to 200 yards

True. I'm the opposite though. If I see a gun I like I buy it and that's about it. You know they say your thoughts become your reality and I've never had a problem with any of my guns and won't is what I tell myself lol.

Mine didn't do to bad with pellets either but I found the zan 303 slugs and never went back to anything else

Because people do not want the old thing, they want the new thing. And so FX provides plenty of new things.

Just 1 or a total of .100 inch, any more than that and you might not even get the cap back on, my 30 with 32 already has a firm spring so it was a challenge but im guessing yours is going to be like the other standard challlengers and a bit more manageable.

I have a gun allegedly sitting at a USPS place 30m from delivery point in Pa. For 4 days.It went from VA to Charlotte NC 1st. Mailed on the 4th left my PO at 5 am on 5th. It is a 7hr-8hr drive to AGR. I could have just visited. Maybe it will move Monday. They are helping at the PA end too.

I prob would of thrown the 22 block in the scrap bin if it wasn’t for Kelly’s help/encouragement. Going to have him make me a custom shorty 30 cal when they come out.

I understood going in that it would take a month or so. I was just just hoping it would be quicker.

I get the impression that Tim finished his part (minus complete reassembly) in around a week, but since he does a complete reseal, including the pump cup (mine had failed and needed replacement anyway), he was held back because he had to wait for his order from Crosman. In his update, his words were: "Will have it ready to go by the 20th of August when pump cups show up."

So in reality, he received it on July 11th and if he ships it back ~ 20th of August, it will only have been 5 weeks, 6 if you include transit time.

These 2 ideas are absolutely great.
And very timely as I had been wondering about a longer bottle on my Condor SS 25 with Mad Dog stock

I have a 30 with 32" barrel, im not sure if 24" is the same but mine likes zan 303 slugs, with the 24" barrel I'd maybe try 50 grain.
If you have the aea regulator, take it off and junk it or do like i did, gut it then bore it and use it for extra air, you can also just gut it to use for air but boring it takes a little weight out. The regulators are junk, you will eventually have issues, I have 3.
My number one hack I've done to all 3 guns is making .100 inch thick washers at work and putting in the valve spring retaining cap, this puts more pressure on the valve and keeps shots much more consistent and more per fill in unregulated guns, I have went through lots of ammo to find what works on max power and leave it there but if you want to shoot a variety you might need to play with the power wheel and possibly fill pressure if your unregulated. I noticed certain pressure ranges in two of mine that worked better before putting the thick washer in valve cap now I fill to 3600 max power the whole way, my 30 with 32 is a different beast, heavy hammer spring with valve cap washer, 4500 ,max power ,60 grain 303 slugs. Aea has been a bit of a pain to find what works the best and if you break anything you might as well buy another and have a parts gun or have access to a machine shop.

Have y’all tried them in spring piston or gas ram rifles? I’ve had pretty good luck with them in mine.

Order a custom stock from whoever. Have them install a cheap used, damaged junk springer action on it and ship it to you as a complete rifle. A cheap, junk used springer with a custom stock?? Do you think the pinheads in customs will figure that out?

They are the same length of pull, which is why I used that bottle. Initially I tried a 420cc but it made for a super lanky LOP. The 360cc is perfect. And it will fit the factory stock band. There is a link for all I used in the video desription

It absolutely is the answer. And you will get a gob of shots with that barrel length especially with a 580cc botttle

use less oil, with PCP's, only use what is needed, excessive oil will cause dirt to stick and collect on the gun, I use 5-10 drops of Silicone oil Every 20 fills of air, applied through the fill port hose, it is only for lubing the O-rings just enough internally, to much can cause O-rings to swell and will create a possible leak, so in this case too much of a good thing is bad..... go a bit easier on the oil....

Think i am done with shipping . If i can not drive and F2F cash , no deals . retired so i will drive most any where depending on what the deal is for or how bad i want it . I was just about to drive to FL but the deal fell thru.

Nice! I am looking at doing something similar in my garage. Darn truck is to long and doesn't fit, and just collecting crap now. Would make it better than the house, but the winters make things tricky up here.
