Heart/Lung thread

We all know and love the.long going "Head Shot Thread". A head shot doesn't always present itself as the best option. Show off your heart and lung punches.

I'll start

Chipper at 37y. Had been raiding the feeder and digging tunnels all over.the place. Waiting for him to present a shot all morning. Had him in the crosshairs around 9:50 but a chickadee alarm call sent him darting. Just about 10min ago I see him working down tbe berm from a tunnel entrance. Straight to the feeder. I hit him on his return trip. A tree trunk was in the way of the headshot so I chose thoracic treatment. You can see the peanuts and sunflower kernels he was carrying with him

Fx impact mk2pp, 700 superior, 23gr .218 HP slug @ 980fps.

FX  FX M3 power plenum leaks/drains through 1st reg

OK it's fixed, I wanted to wait and see if it leaked over night, all is good. Once I ignored the air drain through the 1st reg and looked for the real leak it was easy, Thanks @6gun. The E 100 o rings were bad. Strange now that it's not leaking it no longer drains air through reg #1 when the bottle is removed.
When you have to degass with the bottle removed I recommend not firing it down to 0 but use the bleed screw on the side of the action block so you avoid over travel on your valve and potential oring damage.

What's your thoughts on AEA airguns? Are they hype or legit?

Hello, im new here and too pcp rifles.
I just bought my first one and its a AEA 30 Bullpup 24".
Any ideas on where to start with basic tuning?
Im going to put some pellets through it today with the crony and see what I can do
Aea stuff I'd basically just tune it down from full blast over a chrono. There's not much tuning available or needed. They just punch way above their weight and often beat themselves up. So i turned mine aea model down till it had nice manners for the entire shot cycle.

Newbie (with physical limitations) needs your Experienced Input/Confirmation Please

My go to squirrel rifle is my Avenge-X in .22, as for optics I went with a Discovery Opt 2-12x, Look up a review on it on YT, and there should be a 10% discount code in the description. As for extra magazines, they use the same mags as a Benjamin Marauder and Umarex Gauntlet 1/2, But I'd also check out qd_fox, His after market mags are better and tougher than OEM.
What pistol would you recommend for 25-30 yards, and able to use one hand only?

Benchrest rifle

You all have pretty short memories. Recently, Ana Rose Spanagel, using an Avenge-X .25, with a factory barrel, beat all comers in a 3 card 100y benchrest match.
A local competition with 13 participants doesn’t equate to “all comers”. She evidently has a nice shooting air rifle and is very skilled with it, but that doesn’t put the Avenger-X on the same level as the better guns. My Avenge-X is collecting dust after chasing POI shifts for months, and after adding barrel bands and harmonic stabilizers. I finally bought a better gun, gave my Notos to my grandson and took the scope from the Avenge-X to use on an air rifle with repeatability of shot placement.

N/A  QD Fox magazines: User opinions

How do you know it is Orion's design? Lots of files on Yeggi and various other sites for magazines. Is it possible the QD_FOX was first?
Because I gave my rifle and magazines for Orion to design the 3D versions back in March. Also the face plate geometric design with the shine is the same as what ORION does to all of his mags.

The Amazing China airguns.

The thing I worry about is what tariffs will do to the prices of even non-Chinese rifles, the materials they use also comes from countries subject to tariffs. The hobby is expensive enough already.
Material tariffs *should* only affect domestic production. Tariffs are generally based upon origin of final product not origin of raw materials. Bunch of exceptions to that like final assembly from majority imported parts from higher tariff country.

Zulus non lrf

I sold my sightmark wraith 2-16 to fund a dnt zulus. The zulus I picked was without lrf because $306 from tac-panda.....$200 less than a lrf version

I dont have the dnt yet but am wondering how big of a deal the lrf is? I'm sure the zulus will out class the sightmark unit if only by weight alone.

Somewhat excited to try the zulus!
Non LRF is a good option if you're going to keep things close and dont need quick adjustments. Say 50yds and in.

Taipan  Taipan Slash

I love the tactical handguard. But one think I'm wondering: is the clearance from the barrel wide enough so you can properly use the m-lok slots for mounting i.e. a picatinny rail? Or is is more for the looks?
In my experience it quickly gets very tight with the m-lok screws (almost) touching the barrel, and that's not good for accuracy.
Most of the screws that come with attachments are 12mm for m-lok . You need to get 10mm.
