Diana  New Diana Chaser Through the Chrony

Hi marflow very nice build. What velocity and number of shots do you get with the 13" barrel? My chaser only has 8.2 inch barrel I get about 465fps with about 4 mags. But still loud with wasted gas. I just received a brand new 19 chaser barrel to cut down into a carbine length around 12" but have not settled on length yet. I also got a right hand unmarked stormrider style breech to finish its rifle mode.

A .30 caliber is going to require A LOT of air. How are you going to fill it? You are going to need a tank and a compressor. Will have to budget accordingly.

I agree completely. Life is too short to have only one PCP. I settled on five. And a couple of pistols but they don't count. Really, it's fine. Well I might need one or two more now that I think about it. :)
A tank is not "needed", a compressor yes.

What did you order / receive airgun related today? Thread

Yes also known as what you said the numbers spelled out. But at Midway it's
"Diana 250 with Scope"
Just so you know.. those guns that are spelled out are Chinese guns rebranded by Diana. I have the Two Fifty. I like the gun but it has a heavy trigger and a harsh shot cycle. I had to put a Hammers scope on it. They are NOT German made Diana guns.
Might want to question Midway on that.

What would be a good first premium pcp? I've been looking at the RTI Mora, what others should I consider?
The mora .25 600mm was my first "premium pcp" (over $2k). I bought it 2 months ago. I did like it a lot at first, but I have a slow leak that developed, i found the gun empty. After refilling it you could hear it leaking down the barrel. Cocked it and dri fired it, that did slow the leak down, but its still leaking. Very slow like 10 bar a day. Im definitely disappointed, I expected better for that price point. That being said the mora has been good until the leak.

Western Airguns  Western Mordax Venom, first impressions, and eventual ongoing review.

Thanks for your advice Alan.

You'd know more than I about this kind of thing. I can't wait to get it fixed and when the warranty is up I'd like to learn how to work on it.

In the instructions it states not to fill over 300 bar or the gun can be damaged and since this was my first fill I'm fairly certain the problem was my fault this time.

I hope this Venom turns out more reliable than my Skout EVO is. I guess I'm getting used to airgun problems because of the EVO, problems I didn't cause.

Does your head spin?

Is your shooting going to be mainly in the back yard? How close are your neighbors? A .177 Cal is cheaper to shoot and uses less air per shot . It also doesn't carry far so if you are shooting at a squirrel and miss you don't have to worry about hitting someone or something and damaging them or it. You need to take into consideration how much hand pumping to shooting is acceptable.

Skout  Everything Skout EVO and Epoch

As far as I know Chronies are a bit like decibel meters, difficult to compare their numbers to other chronies , but they do make perfect sense on their own ,as long as you use the numbers from only one to come to a conclusion.
I own an FX pocket chrony and after i serviced my regulators my speed differences over +-80 shots are +- 1-2 fps, if the hp reg climbs a few psi i might see a 3 fps difference.
That is all done at the range, I will put some pics up of the range which I am very fortunate to have all to myself at the moment!

Is that FX chrono mounted to the mlok rail directly? And if so do you by any chance have a print file for it?

Air Venturi  Avenge x .25

The pin does not go through the plastic piece and only a small hole is utilized to hold the guide pin. Makes me wonder if you got a defective part originally or the piece sheared off somehow. Looking at the Pyramyd Air Air Venturi schematic page for the Avenge-X, I see the entire unit is being sold as a 'kit'. That is a good price as several years ago just the poppet cost me $40 for my Nova Liberty. Hope you are able to get it repaired and shooting soon.
Did you see this picture? Thats the old one out of the gun

Received my extra magazines for my .25 Bullshark yesterday evening. Quick test, felt good to be able to shot 40 rounds with out stopping to refill magazines, also shots down to my 150bar reg setting.
NOE .250-27 pellet mold just arrived. Didn't know these came with additional pins so can do 3 different grain weights. Will have to test them all. Cleaned mold and have it seasoning in the oven. Once I finish lunch I'm going to heat up the lead pot.
Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow. 🤔

Diana  Springer Shooting Technique

A lot of answers will steer you in the same direction, but you gotta arrive at the recipe that works best for you. Identify and focus on the points that have the greatest influence on accuracy; fore end hand positions, firmness of fore end grip, cheek position, cheek contact pressure (lots, little, none), firmness of butt against shoulder, etc., then experiment. Absolutely resting the fore end on a firm surface will kill accuracy just as an inconsistent hold and a lot of "twang" (spring vibration) will. It's generally accepted that a firm grip is a no-no with a spring gun but I had a Beeman Kodiak .25 that had to be held very firmly to get good groups. A good starting point for anyone with a "magnum" spring gun is an aftermarket spring/guide/seal kit that fit together properly to minimize twang. Did you buy your gun new? The 350 is a powerful gun I believe should shoot 8.4's faster than 888 fps. Have you checked a string to see if the MV is consistent and there isn't something else going on? Maybe some other owners can chime in. Also try shooting heavier pellets like JSB 10.34's to see how they group. Good luck.
The 350 barrel date is 04/06 ,so it's 19 yo. I put a new 12 ft lbs spring kit in it. It's now running smooth , when I took it apart the original spring was broken that was the problem. Shot some same hole groups now.

Umarex Airsaber 2x won’t fill

I don't see any mention of whether you leak checked any and ALL fittings and hardware on compressor. Most NEW compressors having leaks are usually something as simple as a fitting not being tightened down or a bad Dowty seal (bonded washer). A spray bottle with a soapy solution is your friend when trying to track down leaks. Have you searched youtube for maintenance videos on your compressor?

Ya that's my problem! ..my budget allows me to get more if I buy used i think. That will help as the scope will be another 2k. That's why I want to get the rite rifle...I can't afford 2 3 or even 4 rifles I need one that does it all. For the money I feel like that's not too much to ask?

I always want a do all. Never works for me.
