I like how you have the decal to remind you that the window is closed

My club's rifle range shack has these HUGE Leopold stickers on the windows. Takes up the entire lower window. Can't miss them. Stickers are the perfect solution!

What are your thoughts on lead exposure?

I have never worried about lead from metal. Ever since I was younger i have to cut the tops off batteries and melted them in a hot pot to make fishing weights. More recently using it with a .457 round ball mold i acquired.

But, the thing I was concerned with and never really got a real answer about is what the effect was from all the leaded gas fumes we breathed in as a kid, or worse I remember sucking in gas from a hose and spitting it out to siphon into a can when we went camping.
and brake dust from asbestos pads back in the day.

Steyr  Steyr Hunting 5A

Even if you make that 2000$ it´s still a far cry from what these are running.
AFAIK they´re still in market being sold to the general public? These and their counterparts from Steyr.

That prices soar after a given point in power, accuracy and quality i guess is normal, but i can´t but agree. There needs to be some reason to it.

Is there with a Steyr?
How long is a piece of string?
Again.
Fantastic workmanship. High quality. Good accuracy but by todays standards really down on power.
You make the call.

Ha 🤪
Thanks.
I wouldn’t know how wide to open that poppet just for fear of weakening the sides of the metal because so much force has applied onto it with that regulator spring pushing against from that piston.
I had one that I had replaced because it was ever so slightly bent.
One thing to remember when dealing with small parts in relation to HPA is that you're dealing with much less stress due to the size, so not being good at maths if you're working with 2-3,000psi it's much reduced when confined to 0.050" . ;)

Who said anything about springers? Robert Beeman marketed PCP as well. But anyway.
All three of our sons shoot. 20, 24, and 28. No wonder other young people don't. They don't even have a family to get them involved. So our sport shrinks. A lot of them do buy 9mm's FWIW. Maybe some day adults will take marriage first and then family seriously again.
Sadly ,Karl.. you are correct. We are suffering the poison acorns that were planted that grew into the poison oaks we have today.

Not to be disrespectful, but I wouldn't be too sure about the grim future of the basic springer. Just think about how many new shooters get introduced to the sport by picking up a Gamo at their local Walmart... PCPs are typically an upgrade for some, while others move on to firearms or remain content to simply have a springer.
I’m not sure about Wall Mart selling Gamos .. every wall mart I’ve been to has one tiny area of Crossman 766 type guns and one Phantom break barrel with a selection of . 5 tins 177 pellets.. hidden locked in glass so the Green earth ears are happy lead is away from them.
kids don’t shop at wall mart. Amazon is all they know.

Sorry not trying at all argue , I build my own break barrels from scratch as you know.. custom guns , using Rekord or CD TRIGGERS , with custom stocks AND INTERNALS. Not even adults want to pay for what one would cost.

Most here will be crippled when Macarri and Vortek quit. Both are past 60 and are it for springs .. I know Macarri won’t sell his Namesake or suppliers to anyone. His ego is in the way. Tom has iterated the same .. No one has shown any interest in the future or the business…. Kids are influencers .. Tic Tockers , hell they can’t even decide if they want to be a boy or a girl.
we are at the dinosaurs, and we are going extinct. 😢

FX  Help: FX M4 / Macro Adjuster I can't return it to original position

You certainly helped me and accomplished your goal. Haha. When you said spiral, I thought of some spiral stairs. Then when I disassembled it , made perfect sense. More like a “cam” with my SC public education. 😄 I was in full panic mode because Talon and done the tune and it shoots very, very, well. Thanks again sir.

What springer did you shoot today?

Shot the 350 mag after a complete tear down , and rebuild with a 12 fpe spring
What a learning experience
with that T05 trigger. Came out great got that order of JSB RS EXACT 7.33 shot 5 cleaned it. You could see the
Moly coming out from rebuild. Shot 5 more , and cleaned it . Nothing coming out now. 13.5 fpe with JSB.
Eventually tightened up after a lot of shots got dime group at 15 yards. Did a challenge
7g wad cutter vs. JSB 7.33
JSB won with 1/2 dime size groups , or less all 5 same ragged hole.
