So i may or may not regret this as i have a long standing love for the Impact lineup. But i want to try a Mora and my wife is not thrilled that i spend thousands on air rifles and acc lol
So i picked this gem up at the beggining of the year and set it for slugs. It has heavy slug liner 1/16, Carbon liner sleeve, Slug power kit and pin probe installed, Tungsten hammer wieght, has long Copper backbone top rail, ST low profile arca swiss bottom rail, DFL Yokozuna. I have ALL factory parts .copper top/bottom rails,valve spring,hammer wieght,pellet probe an 1/24 pellet liner. In perfect condition . shoots as good as it looks. Asking $2,200 Shipped which is a pretty fair price. No offense but I will take what Steve says. He is actually a HIGHLY knowledgeable and HIGHLY respected figure in the hobby and not some paid off *****. He’s a straight shooter.
@Motorhead , I very much believe you are correct. Not sure we will ever get a straight answer to that question but I would bet they use the same manufacturer. Maybe Karma demands better materials and QC from the manufacturer than AEA

i have a yokuzuna on mine, with the QD. its nice to be able to pop it off to fit in the cabinet or case. its not the quietest tho, but the modular design does allow more flexibility for barrel harmonic tuning - i think most people that have mentioned it run with 1 fewer sections on it too. that is how my panthera .30 and drs .22 are set up...

It's because this slug barrel was a afterthought that I got a year or more after I bought the gun. It was one of Mike N's experimental barrels that came with a matched swage die.

I could take the muzzle brake off the original pellet barrel that came with it to make the appearance better but it makes the report much louder. We shoot in a porch the most often so don't want more noise.

Could try an adapter and moderator but haven't done that either.

My POI changes if I pull the trigger too casually. That is my most typical issue. But loose screws on the scope mount or holding the action in the stock has done it too. A badly bent skirt will do it too.

Advanced mode is really easy to mess around with and get really good tunes. Not super complicated. You could also set a high reg pressure and put it in warp and see what power you get.

What energy output range do you plan to shoot at?

There's no shroud to help absorb any of the sound or air blast, so you're going to want a more substantial moderator than you'd put on a shrouded .22. I am loving my Huma Mod 40. 50 ft lb .22 sounds like nothing but a spring and hammer moving. the Eagle vision m36 Sigma is a good option.

if donny fl is the way you're going I'd be Using a Sumo, Shogun, or Ronin.

I've used #10 washers to shim, they are about 1mm thick so about 1 turn on the hammer spring. Coke can shims are about 0.1 mm thick. I got my P35-25 up over 800 fps with 34 grain but it might not be there next time I tried it. If the hammer doesn't open the valve fully the velocity will be way low, like 100 fps. Turning the reg down will allow the valve to be opened and get you back close.

The P35X spring uses 1.3mm thick wire instead of the P35 and bullshark 1.2mm. It thus will support higher reg pressure but at some point the plastic poppet will probably fail.

This is without a doubt the next Item I will be buying Airgun related. Been saving for it. Just trying to decided on the dealer to buy from. AOA you pay a pretty hefty shipping charge but they service it before it ships, Talon Tunes ships for free, but no servicing. Same price before shipping and shipping is quite the charge.

Nice shot and good scope cam footage.

Friendly note, that looks like a mourning dove and if you’re in the US, taking them with an air rifle is not legal. Eurasian doves (aka collared doves) are fair game.

Cavedweller, he sent one after asking me the dimensions and it didn’t fit. I didn’t want to be a pain-in-the-butt and hence the reason I went with the parm lid.

It's wild isn't it? The double o-ring fill probe hole is cool, the force is equal on both sides so it doesn't want to just shoot out of the hole.

This a great barrel cleaning system. Use a straw in the moderator to get the string through the baffles.

A vast majority of us on this challenge don’t make videos. I love seeing Ricky’s but I could not be bothered. I’m spending enough right now without adding more.

Besides, next big purchase for me is a compressor later in the year.

As for as a new guy (younger ?) He arrives with his rifle ready to try it , but he see's Thomas's and Styre's and big wheels on the scope ! I would suggest pairing the nubie with seasoned shooter and let him share the thomas or whatever . Yes i foresee the "old Grumpy I had to wait X times to shoot that lane "
But what a first time shooting experience !
This is exactly how My first time @ Rozes Hollow went! Although i wasn;t paired with anybody a few of the shooters (one was a National Champ) just invited me to try their setup after they shot .
