Which version? barrel length tactical, standard etc. Good to see you're enjoying it so far. You're right about build quality... not too many are close out there in that regard.I have typically purchased all FX rifles besides my Texan and Edgun L. I was rebuilding another regulator for my MK 2 and then working on the valve on my Panthera when I read about the Slash.
I called Tony at Talon Tunes and he convinced me to try the Taipan and that I would love it. I received it yesterday in .22 and initial thoughts are outstanding. You do not need a moderator on this in my configuration: can’t speak on other caliber’s. Build quality is such that when you pick up the rifle you realize this is top tier.
I haven’t run the bottle down to see shot count as of yet. Magazine is wonderful. Easy to load and shoot. With both slugs and pellets neither had problems finding their mark. I shoot 50 to 90 yards in my back yard, mostly woods.
Semiautomatic works wonderfully and I love not having to move my hand to load another pellet. More to come on this I am sure.
So you you want a gun that is good for mice (4 FPE) to deer/hog (250 FPE).I will be shooting target and hunting..from mice to white tail deer and hog and it needs to do all I can spend 5k but not 20k I'm thinking a 30 cal. I could be wrong but think fpe for deer in my state is 250.
Nice!Added one to the fold.
Got as a pistol from Air n Gas Man (with airtube extension). Got real lucky finding an old/obscure Steve Corcoran stock. And a good friend turned down a HW30 barrel for me.View attachment 586659

HW100 Lightweight Air Cylinder by RatworksIf weight is an issue , I’d suggest the aluminum tubes available on eBay. They ship from the UK but are drastically lighter than the factory units. They also sell complete but I find the ends to be of lesser quality. Should mention they do have a few lengths available also , you’ll just have to take a few measurements . I went with the FAC 390 mm lots of shots in either .177 or .22
I always just use the biggest orifice sizeWhat size top hat are you using?
Johnny, congratulations! Weihrauch makes overbuilt tough, accurate PCP's! Pics when you get it please!
Did you ever get that lg400? I ordered one but it showed up with a broken stock and butt plate so I’m waiting for them to ship me another one so I haven’t got to try it out yet, super anxious waiting for the other one to come. Just want to know how it went.I've been doing a little research regarding target rifles. I haven't ever competed and don't have any immediate plans but hopefully down the road I may give Silhouette and Field Target a try. So for now a target rifle will just be for my enjoyment shooting silhouettes and other various targets. One rifle that really has my attention is the Walther LG400 FT. I have a couple questions for those that own or have shot this rifle. Since the FT version doesn't come with sights I was wondering if it was possible to add aperture sights in the future. Can the parts be ordered from Walther to add those type of sights so that I can also use the rifle for ten meter style shooting? Along that same thought, I know that the LG400 has an adjustable hammer spring. How far can you reduce the power using just the hammer spring and NOT touching the regulator? Can you get the fpe down into the ten meter target range? Thanks for any help that you can send my way.

I looked you up... you're quite a ways down there. I'm up here just south of Montgomery.I fill from my tank so no breaks from the heat to refill my AR, the tank usually lasts a week then gets topped off inside. Even inside, I run the compressed air through a couple of moisture absorption filters to ensure no moisture makes it into the tank and then my AR. If I stopped shooting to refill my AR with the compressor, I’d probably get distracted and end up taking another nap.
Kim drives 55 to work one way and when I go to the office mine is 70 one way. So 33 to pick this up was a no brainer. Cleaned up nicely, barrel is only thing that could use re-bluing. Two things were obvious after a closer look. Someone loved this gun and used it, this was no safe queen. Two, they took excellent care of it.love the rounded pistol grip on these old ones , wonderful find worth twice the distance .
(isn't 33 miles considered close in TX. miles ?)
