95 desrees /62% humidity , not to bad . did some shooting with the BSA break barrel .177 Tenex 4.51 8.2 gr , i should take this hunting squirrels . Very light weight gun and accurate 20 or 30 yards Irons sighted in @ 25 yards. If i sighted it in probably could do 40 yds . easily .

if i sighted in @ 40 . ( see the lake way down below this is my back yard range )

The post office lost my .25 barrel I got a deal on so I went ahead and ordered a new .22 barrel to replace it. The power level of the Notos just made more sense to stay .22. If you are looking for .25 magazines though, C88-AIR sends one with his .25 kit. Guy is pretty awesome so if you shoot him a message I am sure he will sell them by themselves.

Don’t know about the tune but he did say over pumped or something. Unregulated I would think that ain’t the sweet spot.

i never chrono it
i would think it would be around 500 as a guess
CO2 like a longer barrel but at what point is the guess
the 2240 barrel is too short but the 10.2 always seemed about right
i did all my barrel cutting with pillow block it is a poor man's lathe
you can put the hack saw right against the pillow block and turn the barrel and hold the saw in place nice 90 degree cut and then you can dress the barrel end
if the barrel or anything is over 3/8 use a socket a 1/4 drive adapter for a drill
this is a small setup that i used to file a larger barrel groove to adapt a Crosman SSP-250 barrel for a Gamo compact
the pillow blocks are hot glued to and sturdy board

And those Sheridan bantam pellets were not only accurate but super penetrating. 30gallon steel galvanized garbage pails were completely penetrated and still went into soft wood the depth of the pellet. Just want to mention to AirnGas man to take that rear site off as the spring pressure will eventually crack the solder of the barrel to lower tube. Earlier sights had set screws and presented no problem. Just tap out the thin plastic blocks under the clip and it comes right off. Instead have it drilled and tapped for the williams 5D Peep sight. Youll shoot it even better!! Heres my 3

Since Bob & Doug Air is shut down and I’m not picking Kim up at airport today I decided to peruse estate sales. First one had a pic of what looked like two Blue Streaks, a Daisy underlever carbine, and an unmistakable HW breech block. Couldn’t tell which model from pics. First time I’ve ever seen respectable air rifles at estate sale here. 33 miles away, was rolling in less than 5. The Streaks and Daisy had sold on first day of sale Thursday, but this little HW30 was still there. And it was half price day too! Some wear, some surface rust, trigger guard so loose I’m surprised it didn’t fall on the floor, this girl was used. But, rifling looked good and Rekord trigger on it. Pre-safety. Paid and ran. Got home, tightened trigger guard, grabbed some AA 8.4 that were already on table. Not only did it shoot, it shot great! Beautiful shot cycle, NO buzz, NO twang. Trigger was crisp. Will chrono when it’s not 98 degrees and 110 heat index outside but my guess is it’s close to spec. Date code puts this one at 1967 according to The List so assuming it’s a leather seal? Looks like the metal cap on the end where safety would be on a new one just pops off to fit on a spring compressor but someone correct me if I’m wrong. Neat little rifle, glad I found it. Just hope Bob & Doug don’t expect a thank you, because they’re definitely not on our Christmas list this year.

For feral hogs I am of the opinion that all of the "fair chase" and ethics arguments go out the window. At least here in the states.

Ive run into people who've argued sitting up on a boulder 500 yards away and sniping pigs isn't hunting, it's just killing. That sort of stuff because It doesn't give the game a chance to get spooked and run off.

Its been good, ive had one for 8 months. I've never had an issue with it. Its fun semi auto, easy to shoot off hand. Its internally baffled and pretty quiet for a 10 inch barrel 30 cal. It makes just shy of 50 ft/lbs. 690-710 fps with 45 grain pellets. I get 6 mags /54 shots per 300bar fill. Its pretty accurate to like 40 yards. Hits its mark. The only negative is using the "bolt action" is difficult to manipulate, there's a release lever that's a pain to deal with. I just leave it in semi auto all the time.

Look for common complaints and issues. Not all aeas suffer from problems, some models did.
